Ok, so I will drop all the kde-l10n-* packages from the tasks shortly.

Hmm, libkf5i18n-data was already existing in buster, and it has nearly the
same filesize in sid compared to buster, so it seems that it does not contain
additional translations which have been dropped from kde-l10n-*

kde-l10n-* packages contain masses of .mo files, which I cannot find
anymore in unstable. Where have all those translations gone?

CC'ing kde people for advise.

No answer, so I replaced system-config-printer by print-manager for the
task-kde-desktop task.

Bug#265322: DCOP-Server: Running a KDE program as root causes the next start of KDE to fail

2004-08-12 Thread Holger Wansing
Package: kdelibs-bin
Version: 4:3.2.2-2
Severity: normal

Open a shell as user user, su to root, and start a KDE program like
konqueror, will change the ownership of the /home/user/.ICEauthority file
from user to root.
I'm not sure, if this is intended, but it ends up in a big
problem: the next time when trying to start KDE at this user,
it doesn't start, because the dcopserver has no write-access to
the .ICEauthority file.
KDE shows a error message telling about this permission problem.

I saw this problem already at KDE 2.2.2 in stable.
