Now I use a virtual machine with Kmail 4.8.4 which is stable enough for me. I got tired of errors. Thanks Noel -- A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text. Please report it via Help - Report bug... menu item of the respective application or by visiting https://bugs.kde.org/ and following instructions to report a new bug. I already did, please check the bug history before requesting so. I'm also switching the severity to wishlist, as this is a feature that needs to be implemented (or at least that's what it seems). It is not. It is a real failure because kde-open checks incorrectly the url for a hostname, which should not be done, as it seems as explained in related #701849 . Debian Qt/KDE maintainers do not have resources to deal with non Debian-specific bugs and therefore it is unlikely that your bug will be solved if you do not report it to KDE developers directly (unless it is/has been reported by somebody else). I understand that, that's why I sent the bug to KDE myself, and I also marked it as upstream myself. Whenever you open a bug report on the KDE bug tracking system, or you find that the bug has been already reported on it, you can couple both this Debian bug and the KDE bug together by sending the mail with the text below to cont...@bugs.debian.org (replace KDE-BUG-URL with the address of the bug report on https://bugs.kde.org/) [ copy this ] forwarded 728207 KDE-BUG-URL thanks [ copy this ] Just already done above. Bug#635554: More info
I've tested kmail from both Gnome and KDE, and it fails to read the IMAP root folder on both environments. I've tested kmail from a completely new user, and it failed too. I've tested accessing both three from localhost (IMAP and kmail in the same machine), from local private network address (192.168.1.25, IMAP and kmail in same machine) and from internet (two lines to internet, using public addresses, but IMAP and kmail in the same physical machines). Icedove does not fail, so I suppose the problem is not the IMAP server. Regards -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-qt-kde-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble?
