We already know about it and tagged it as pending. We now require the RT to give us green light wrt the fix, which happens to be not so trivial (it needs adding a new package). Believe it or not, this is trigerred by a loop dependency between two packages and apt gets confused. So far we could not find another way of solving it (and once solved, some other bug triggers a similar problem with some xml stuff). So, marking all KDE packages as "found" doesn't really helps. Thanks a lot for your good intentions thought :-) I'm CCing the RT. I know you guys are busy and overwhelmed, but we really need a definition on this one. Any chance to get libvirt 0.10.2 into Wheezy?
Hi, I know that this is very late in the game but maybe not too late. We (the pkg-libvirt team) are maintaining libvirt 0.10.X releases in experimental since quiet some time. We've been using it heavily also. The main reason why it would make sense to have 0.10.2 in a Debian stable release is the fact that upstream is maintaining a long term bugfix branch for that version: http://libvirt.org/git/?p=libvirt.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/v0.10.2-maint Libvirt provides versioned symbols and a backward compatible API so I'd expect no breackage. So any chance to get 0.10.2 into wheezy? Note that this would also include a newer netcf currently also uploaded to experimental only. They were reported on Launchpad, but most of them affect Debian too. Here's a description of the changes introduced since 0.8.5: * Add xz-utils to gdebi Suggests field (fixing #685193) http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~gdebi-developers/gdebi/trunk/revision/421 * Handle ValueError exception to fix a crash with malformed packages http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~gdebi-developers/gdebi/trunk/revision/422 * Convert help options with unicode, fix crash displaying help in some locales http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~gdebi-developers/gdebi/trunk/revision/423 * Return dpkg error code instead of always return 0 http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~gdebi-developers/gdebi/trunk/revision/424 * Fix translation string which caused a crash due to unmatched format string http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~gdebi-developers/gdebi/trunk/revision/425 * Port to new GIO API to fix a crash when accessing packages on GVFS mounts http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~gdebi-developers/gdebi/trunk/revision/426 * Fall-back on kdesu if kdesudo is not avaliable, this is a no-op for Debian, but makes gdebi-kde almost useless in Ubuntu, and I'd like to sync package there http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~gdebi-developers/gdebi/trunk/revision/427 * Mark menu and labels as sensitive at startup, this causes a visual glitch http://bazaar.launchpad.net/~gdebi-developers/gdebi/trunk/revision/428 Other than those, I plan to include new translations in the package, I'm currently waiting for Launchpad to finalize them. I'm attaching a full debdiff (not including translations, at the moment) of the changes I'd like to introduce. Bug#687614: unblock: gdebi/0.8.6 (pre-approval)
gDebi has been uploaded some time ago, and nobody played Vodoo on me, so it seems it's behaving good ;) Please consider unblocking it. Other than the changes listed in the debdiff, I refreshed translations as anticipated in my first message. I have enclosed a debdiff. The new package will be named fwknop_2.0.0rc2-2+deb7u1.dsc. It is targetted for the testing-proposed-updates with urgency set to high. Can someone check the update so that I can upload the package? I'm afraid that's not going to work while the sid version ftbfs... Ok, I wanted it to go through wheezy but, I will check to fix the FTBS on MIPS before then. Actually I'm told the tpu upload should work, so nevermind. In fact, the MIPs problem may come from a new feature in the client program (use of getenv but not sure) but it is up to you. Ok. Let me know if you want me to change things in the patches and confirm me whether I can upload to testing-proposed-updates or not. Is there a chance to upload the package to testing-proposed-updates ? Regards, Franck -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-release-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
