Hi

We have a new set of by KDE prepared in experimental as much as
aptitude has allowed us.

We would love to bring it to unstable whenever it fits you. We can bring
it in as one big blob or as several smaller blobs.

There is some shlib bumps and a handful of intertwined soname changes
without too many rdeps outside our own chunk.

Of interesting bits, src:kdemultimedia and src:kdegames has been split
upstream in ~30 source packages. And there is soname changes for
libkipi, libkdcraw, libkexiv2, some of the kde-workspace libraries,
libmarble, libkdegames, libokular-core and probably a bit more.

It is mostly digikam, calligra and a couple of 3rd party
plasma-widget-foo that will be affected outside our group of pacakges.

/Sune

Please schedule the following binNMUs

With tonight's hints libkcddb and audiocd-kio have migrated successfully
while src:kdemultimedia has been hinted out of testing.

I think we are done now with this transition, we will take care or RM
kdegames and kdemultimedia and other small cleanup tasks.

Thanks for the work and patience in this,

binNMUs for intltool / perl 5.18

2013-08-28 Thread Michael Biebl
Hi,

I know there is a separate transition tracker for perl 5.18, but since
the uninstallability of intltool currently blocks a lot of (GNOME)
packages from being built [1], I thought it might make sense to schedule
the binNMUs for those perl packages preferrably.

Assuming I analysed the dependency chain correctly, this needs binNMUs
for the following packages

libxml-parser-perl
libhtml-parser-perl
libnet-ssleay-perl

Thanks,
Michael

Indeed, so this bug is nonsense.

No, why should it?

Not to me, linux-base does not depend on perl nor perl-api-5.14.2. All
that's needed is a rebuild of libuuid-perl against the newer perl, and
libuuid-perl is listed on the above page.

It looks like linux-base needs to be re-uploaded (it's arch:all, so
binNMUs won't help).

http://release.debian.org/transitions/html/perl5.18.html apparently only
covers dependencies on 'perl' not 'perlapi-5.14.2' so it seems to be
understating the size of this transition.

Does this make sense?
