Hi Adam,

Thank you for the pointer. I tested with xulrunner-24.0 after purging
17.0 and everything seems fine - so hopefully no surprises there.

Cheers,

Bug #736198 (ZFS lseek) was already fixed in jessie/sid; I've just
corrected the version tagging in the BTS.

Bug #735449 (VIA hardware RNG) we've decided to fix in sid with one last
upload. kfreebsd-9 is to be removed soon though in favour of
kfreebsd-10 (which is unaffected).

The fix for this in 9.2 (and Intel Ivy Bridge as well) is so simple
though, could we maybe do one last upload fixing this? (For the benefit
of anyone that decides to keep using kfreebsd 9.2 a little longer, or
installs it from snapshots.d.o for some reason in future).

It is fixed in kfreebsd-10. As the plan for kfreebsd-9 is to remove it after

I just double checked again, and noticed I was wrong: The package
applies the 'network-tests' patch. With this if

1/ there is no network connection all test passes
2/ if there is network connection t/fetch_oui.t will fail.

So with the previously attached debdiff both cases will pass.

The BTS metadata implies that this bug is unfixed in unstable and
applicable to the package there; is that correct?

not sure if I’m eligible; I got a (socially, not technical) restricted
access to wanna-build to do the binNMUs required after upgrading Haskell
package.

But since you ask me directly, and to get things going, I just did
$ wb nmu github-backup_1.20131203 . amd64 i386 powerpc sparc . -m "rebuild
against libicu52"
$ wb nmu rss2irc . amd64 i386 kfreebsd-amd64 kfreebsd-i386 powerpc sparc .  -m

For the haskell libraries: Their migration to testing waits for the
ftp-master’s actoin
#734528, #734668 and #735333.
Maybe you want to mark these as blockers for #729531 as well.

Bug#736841: wheezy-pu: package libnet-mac-vendor-perl/1.18-2+deb7u1

Hi Release Team

The FTBFS of libnet-mac-vendor-perl (#724227) also affects stable. The
attached debdiff fixes this (for the case were network access is still
allowed).

If you prefer I can also add the no-network-tests.patch patch.

 [1]
http://patch-tracker.debian.org/patch/series/view/libnet-mac-vendor-perl/1.21-1/no-network-tests.patch

Can I upload this (or the variant with also disabling network-tests)
for wheezy for the next point release?

Salvatore

If you can downgrade this from Depends to Recommends, the migration scripts
would handle it without manual intervention. (I did this in
nvidia-graphics-drivers/non-free, but there it is actually "only" a real
Recommends relationship.)

> This is similar to the situation for wine

IIRC ia32-libs:amd64 and ia32-libs:amd64 are the only packages that get
special handling for depending on a :i386-only package. (I had to add some
workaround for their dependency resolution in piuparts, too.)

Bug#736833: please hint/force migration for nss-mdns/0.10-6

2014-01-27 Thread Simon McVittie
Package: release.debian.org
Severity: normal

Could you please nudge nss-mdns into testing? It would normally have migrated
by now, but it has a transitional package on amd64 with a dependency that
can only be satisfied by having i386 as a foreign architecture.

This is similar to the situation for wine (which I expect is the reason
why 99% of lib32nss-mdns users have it). This solution was recommended in
.

I recognise that this is ugly, and I look forward to being able to drop
it after jessie.
