It was added in 1:4.4-2 since 2017-01-19 to 2017-09-27 when 1:4.5-1 reverted it.

As lamby pointed out, this is triggered on the source package:

$ lintian python-mimeparse_0.1.4-3.dsc
W: python-mimeparse source: mismatched-python-substvar python3-mimeparse

Thanks for the detailed explanation, that helps.

A few comments:
- I'd rather do without the changes in debian/control
- likewise init script, pkg-config file (unless there's an explanation)
- the above doesn't seem to address the changes in debian/patches/, can
you detail the reason behind each of those?
- I think from our perspective the reproducibility changes are adding
more risk than anything else, and normally not appropriate for stable
- the change in prep-modules, generating dependencies on the exact version
of linux-image rather than the ABI (probably with ">=" the build
version), looks wrong. I don't know if/how that is used by the package
  though.
- the debian/rules changes introduce noise, so if that can be trimmed
  down it would be welcome
- I can't speak to the upstream changes, but no objection in principle
if that stuff is tested as you describe. Is any of the LTS branch
testing done in a Debian stable environment, either by upstream, you,
or some other users of this code?

Cheers,
Julien

The updated postinst checks if the service is still enabled in

Help on meta-kde and kde-baseapps migration

2018-01-13 Thread Pino Toscano
Dear release team,

some days ago I uploaded src:meta-kde and src:kde-baseapps to unstable,
and the things that "ties" them is that the kde-baseapps metapackage
from src:kde-baseapps (in preparation of the future removal of it) to
src:meta-kde. OTOH, they have not migrated to testing for the last 4
days, and I do not understand what is going on, and why they do not
migrate to testing.

Can you please help for this?

Thanks,

linux-cpupower version in stable is 4.9.51-1 which corresponds to the kernel
currently in stable that will be upgraded in a few days. I upgraded a day early
or two early. I did upgrade the package with no problems. This is just a heads
up for anyone that this my concern.

Thanks

Probably due to your pinning configuration that prefers backports over
proposed-updates? We don't seem to have had any other reports of this,
so I'll close it. Thanks for your feedback.

Bug#887060: testing migration happened despite FTBFS on arch:all buildd

2018-01-13 Thread Sébastien Villemot
Package: release.debian.org
Severity: normal
User: release.debian@packages.debian.org
Usertags: britney

Hi,

Package src:octave-interval creates two binaries:
- octave-interval (arch:any)
- octave-interval-doc (arch:all)

Version 3.1.0-3 was uploaded on 2018-01-07 as source-only:

 https://tracker.debian.org/news/899881

Compilation went fine on the arch:any buildds, but failed on the arch:all one:

https://buildd.debian.org/status/fetch.php?pkg=octave-interval=all=3.1.0-3=1515343715=0

Still, testing migration occurred on 2018-01-13:

 https://tracker.debian.org/news/901166

As of 2018-01-13, the dak status is the following:

$ ssh coccia dak ls octave-interval octave-interval-doc
octave-interval | 2.1.0-2 | stable | source, amd64, arm64,
armel, armhf, i386, mips, mips64el, mipsel, ppc64el, s390x
octave-interval | 2.1.0-2 | unstable | source
octave-interval | 2.1.0-2 | unstable-debug | source
octave-interval | 2.1.0-2+b1| unstable | kfreebsd-amd64,
kfreebsd-i386
octave-interval | 3.1.0-3 | testing| source, amd64, arm64,
armel, armhf, i386, mips, mips64el, mipsel, ppc64el, s390x
octave-interval | 3.1.0-3 | unstable | source, amd64, arm64,
armel, armhf, hurd-i386, i386, mips, mips64el, mipsel, powerpc, ppc64el, s390x
octave-interval | 3.1.0-3 | unstable-debug | source
octave-interval-doc | 2.1.0-2 | stable | all
octave-interval-doc | 2.1.0-2 | unstable | all
octave-interval-doc | 3.1.0-2 | unstable | all

i.e. octave-interval is present in testing but octave-interval-doc is not.

(I will probably request soon a give-back for octave-interval-doc, so this
state will not persist for long).

Best,
