Hello, I just added some information about this problem on this bug https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1001168#72 it seems to me that this is something related to gcc-11. If I build matplotlib with gcc-10 there is no more crash. I think that I reach my peter principe with this last effort :)) Cheers Frederic

Bug#902582: (some kind of) transition: add python3.7 as a supported python3 version
Hello, It seems that pyopengl is not tracked in the transition tracker. But this package is affected by the python3.7 transition #903218.

Bug#861900:
Hello I attached the debdiff of the sardana 2.2.2-3 version prepared by the upsteam. the changes are: - add themself to Uploaders (at my request). - Remove the dependency on the nexus package (which is broken) - Implement the nexus functionnaly with the well maintained h5py. thanks for considering the pre-approval If it is ok, I will upload into unstable. so here the question > That's where you come in. You're the maintainer and the expert in this > package. Are 251 and 221 that common and important that the other > changes are worth less testing than usual? Yes I know about the package, I trust also the upstream when they did that they did all the usual tests. They did the effort to prepare a release for Debian8. To my opinion,it is better to take all the modifications instead of starting to extract only the most important fixes. I do not want to propose something different than the official upsteam version in the Debian distribution. I do not want to see on internet comment like, do not use the Debian version it is not equivalent to the official upstream version. forme this a moral contract between us and me. Other point , even if this package popcon is very low it is very important for the community behind it. (the synchrotron radiation facilities community [1]) - so my advice as DD to the release team is that Debian8 would be better with this version of the package for this community. Bug#767074: unblock: taurus/3.3.1+dfsg-1
Hello, Here the answer of the taurus upstream (he forgot to CC the the bts) Carlos Pascual [cpasc...@cells.es] Hi Fred and Jonathan, First of all, sorry for the late reply (I hope it is still relevant). I am currently out of office and with limited email access. If you require further info, please contact my colleague Zbigniew Reszela (I cc'ed him) As Fred mentioned I (and Zbigniew) personally reviewed all the contributions of this latest release of Taurus and Sardana. I must say that the review process for these changes was just as strict as the one we routinely use for all releases: - publication and code review of patches on a developer's list - approval of patches after code review by an authorized reviewer - passing automatic unit testing - passing a battery of manual interactive tests (checklist). - On top of that, I personally use the development branch routinely on a Debian Jessie. With this I just want to convey that this release is, in my (and Zbigniew's) opinion much better for Jessie than the previous one, since the review process was no different from that of previous releases and the changes are essentially bug fixes. I hope this helped, Carlos Do you need more informations ? -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-release-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? ok, so here all the link * sardana ** features + http://sourceforge.net/p/sardana/tickets/231/ + http://sourceforge.net/p/sardana/tickets/250/ ** bugs +http://sourceforge.net/p/sardana/tickets/251/ (fix a crash) the dscan things has no bug report but is something important for the final users. * taurus * features + http://sourceforge.net/p/sardana/tickets/234/ + http://sourceforge.net/p/sardana/tickets/135/ + http://sourceforge.net/p/sardana/tickets/208/ (#208 TaurusValueEdit: exception when editing) + http://sourceforge.net/p/sardana/tickets/211/ + http://sourceforge.net/p/sardana/tickets/210/ + http://sourceforge.net/p/sardana/tickets/221/ (regression: Default Custom Widgets in TaurusValues stopped working) + http://sourceforge.net/p/sardana/tickets/222/ (compact mode fails with old PyQt versions) + http://sourceforge.net/p/sardana/tickets/217/ (Taurus configuration panel error when clicking ok/cancel) + http://sourceforge.net/p/sardana/tickets/224/ I would say that 251 and 221 deserve an upgrade of both package.
