Bug#725046: Bugs in packages meep-* (fwd)

2013-09-30 Thread Thorsten Alteholz

Package: release.debian.org
Severity: normal
Tags: wheezy
User: release.debian@packages.debian.org
Usertags: pu

Hi,

unfortunately the packages meep-* contain bugs that makes it impossible to
develop own software with libmeep.
As directory names are wrong, especially users of Live CDs might have problems
using these packages now (actually I got the initial bug report from a user of
such a CD).
I attached four debdiffs for packages meep-lam4[1], meep-openmpi[2],
meep-mpich2[3] and meep-mpi-default[4].

As my first email probably slipped your attention, I already uploaded the
packages to unstable. As the versions in sid and wheezy are the same
(except for this patch), this should be no problem.

Best regards
Thorsten

I realise it would have been a little bit of a pain, but in some ways
four separate bugs (one per source package) would have been easier to
track.

In any case, please go ahead, using "wheezy" as the changelog
distribution. For version numbers, if you're planning on using the
unstable upload as a base and adding an additional changelog stanza,
please use ${unstable_version}~deb7u1; otherwise, starting from the
stable changelog please use ${stable_version}+deb7u1.

Regards,

Adam

In addition to the above, please note that the window for getting the
changes in to the next point release (7.2) closes this weekend.

Thanks. Unfortunately, you used the wrong version number for all of
them. :-(

"For version numbers, if you're planning on using the
unstable upload as a base and adding an additional changelog stanza,
please use ${unstable_version}~deb7u1; otherwise, starting from the
stable changelog please use ${stable_version}+deb7u1"

The packages you've uploaded use "${unstable_version}+deb7u1", which
wasn't one of the requested schemes and means that the version numbers
are /higher/ than the existing packages in unstable / testing.

I've marked them all for rejection, so it's just waiting for dak to
process that request.
