In exactly the same way as you'd install security updates - apt-get update, then apt-get upgrade. debian-release is not a support list. Please use the debian-user list (CCed), or one of the other support channels listed at http://www.debian.org/support , for any further discussion / queries. Regards, Adam

Please use up-to-date firefox packages from http://mozilla.debian.net. In either case, such questions are unfit for the debian-release mailing list; please use debian-users next time.
Debian-8.6
Why is Firefox 45 esr so buggy and freezes up in Debian 8.6 ? No add ons or extensions are installed. Iceweazel was bad, but the outdated Firefox makes Debian unusable when using the internet. Debian kde and gnome notify me when updates are ready, why not cinnamon or xfce. Even after I install gnome-packagekit there is still no notification of updates. This is very annoying when I want to use cinnamon and two days later discover that there are over a 100 updates waiting to be installed and I have to install something that should have been installed by default.
