Bug#820797: Does anybody care about clhep (and other software from CERN)
Hi Andreas, in clhep, the 2.1.4.1 releases were not in the git repository. I corrected that, merged everything together, and now it compiles fine. I took the freedom to just upload it :-) Cheers Ole -- debian-science-maintainers mailing list debian-science-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/debian-science-maintainers

Hi Lifeng, it would be great if you at least spent one minute for a short notice whether you keep on working or whether you are MIA. Thanks Andreas. Bug#820797: Does anybody care about clhep (and other software from CERN)
tags 820797 patch thanks Hi, I've commited a patch for bug #820797 to Git which removes the non-free code (not yet adding the missing licenses but this should be cheap). I'm honestly wondering whether somebody cares about clhep and related software in Debian Science and how much it is worth spending time on fixing the most urgent issues. I was not able to upload the patch since the test suite fails: ... FAIL: testStaticStreamSave == Input stream mispositioned or JamesRandom state description missing or wrong engine type found. Mismatch when expecting to read static state of a RandGauss distribution Name found was istream is left in the badbit state Input stream mispositioned or JamesRandom state description missing or wrong engine type found. Mismatch when expecting to read static state of a RandGauss distribution Name found was istream is left in the badbit state restoreFullState failed for RandGauss One or more problems detected: stat = 8192 FAIL testStaticStreamSave (exit status: 255) Testsuite summary for CLHEP Random 2.1.3.1 # TOTAL: 13 # PASS: 11 # SKIP: 0 # XFAIL: 0 # FAIL: 2 # XPASS: 0 # ERROR: 0 See test/test-suite.log Please report to http://savannah.cern.ch/projects/clhep/ Makefile:874: recipe for target 'test-suite.log' failed make[5]: *** [test-suite.log] Error 1 make[5]: Leaving directory '/build/clhep-2.1.3.1+dfsg/Random/test' Makefile:980: recipe for target 'check-TESTS' failed make[4]: *** [check-TESTS] Error 2 make[4]: Leaving directory '/build/clhep-2.1.3.1+dfsg/Random/test' Makefile:1137: recipe for target 'check-am' failed make[3]: *** [check-am] Error 2 make[3]: Leaving directory '/build/clhep-2.1.3.1+dfsg/Random/test' Makefile:454: recipe for target 'check-recursive' failed make[2]: *** [check-recursive] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory '/build/clhep-2.1.3.1+dfsg/Random' Makefile:464: recipe for target 'check-recursive' failed make[1]: *** [check-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory '/build/clhep-2.1.3.1+dfsg' dh_auto_test: make -j4 check VERBOSE=1 returned exit code 2 ... So if somebody wants to safe this for Stretch its highly urgent now ... Kind regards Andreas. -- http://fam-tille.de -- debian-science-maintainers mailing list debian-science-maintainers@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/debian-science-maintainers
