Provo d'iniciar gnome des del gdm o amb startx i no hi ha manera de que arrenqui. Es queda pensant, i quan miro els logs veig que metacity ha petat. Estic googlejant una mica però encara no trobo res... Potser és que és dissabte al dematí i encara no m'entero. Potser és alguna cosa de la última actualització (feta avui mateix). PB lenny - marche plus
Bonjour, je suis en Lenny avec quelques partiesp rovenant de sid (pour flash). j'ai installé la maj de hier soir et puis tout plante - sous gnome, clique sur iceweasel et puis pas possible de faire quelque chose. Plus les menus Gnome. j'ai remaqué une maj de avahi, le noyau, et quelques libs. J'ai plus de réseau, Gnome plante, les menus apparaissent et disparaissent puis plus rien. je fais ping www.google.fr et il me répond network unreachable. ping 192.168.1.1 (livenbox) répond Ok. Apparament un pb dans la résolution des noms... Donc plus possible de faire un aptitude update ou install xxx. Quelqu'un aurait-il une idée pour remettre le réseau en route ??? ou autre solution hors la solution W$ reformat+install Merci.

corruption de fichiers téléchargés ?
Bonjour, Je suis face à un problème assez curieux : j'ai une machine où j'ai l'impression que les fichiers téléchargés sont parfois corrompus. J'observe ce phénomène depuis environ deux mois. Je m'en suis aperçu en recevant parfois des emails avec des fichiers joints corrompus. A l'époque cette machine servait de serveur mail (postfix + dovecot) et tournait sous Gentoo. Il y avait 4 disques en RAID 5 + LVM. J'ai utilisé courier à la place de dovecot, pour voir, cela n'a rien changé. Donc, j'ai installé Lenny et j'ai changé les disques (2 disques tout neufs en RAID 1 + LVM). Le phénomène se reproduit toujours, de manière semble-t-il aléatoire, notamment lorsque je mets à jour la liste des paquets dans aptitude, ce dernier n'arrive pas à parser la liste fraîchement téléchargée. Je précise que je n'ai pas l'impression que cela se produise sur des fichiers locaux (une fois le package téléchargé et sa somme vérifiée par aptitude, il est désarchivé et installé... toutes mes applications semblent fonctionner correctement, pas de binaires ou de libraires corrompus etc...) J'ai donc écris un mini script qui boucle sur le téléchargement d'un fichier de 5 Mo et qui en vérifie la somme de contrôle avec md5sum. Il apparaît qu'au bout de 3 à 6 téléchargements, j'obtiens un fichier corrompu. Si j'effectue le test sur une partition tmpfs, le problème se manifeste mais seulement au bout de 75 à 100 itérations. Bizarre... je teste la mémoire avec memtest86+ pendant 12H : pas de problème. J'en suis donc arrivé à soupçonner la carte mère (une MSI K9NGM-L), le CPU (Athlon 64 3500+) ou la carte réseau (intégrée, utilise le module forcedeth). Avez-vous des idées ou des suggestions pour m'aider à résoudre ce souci ? La solution a déjà été donnée ici et tu peux l'adapter à tes besoins : http://lists.debian.org/debian-user-french/2007/11/msg00109.html Extrait : Dans ton fichier de configuration tu ajoutes une section screen identique à la première mais avec un Identifier différent et le mode vidéo souhaité puis tu lance X avec l'option -screen [Identifier]. Il y a aussi des option -keyboard et -pointer pour des configuration de clavier / souris alternatives et enfin -layout pour les cas les plus complexes. merci pour la piste. En fait, resolvconf m'a écrasé le resolv.conf. Je suis en static pour mon adresse ip, j'ai ajouté une ligne dans interface. dns-nameservers 192.168.0.1 80.10.246.2 80.10.246.129 puis un ifdown/ifup de eth0 Le réseau remarche. Je fais un update pour revoir si gnome remarche. Aplus. Je précise que je n'ai pas l'impression que cela se produise sur des fichiers locaux (une fois le package téléchargé et sa somme vérifiée par aptitude, il est désarchivé et installé... toutes mes applications semblent fonctionner correctement, pas de binaires ou de libraires corrompus etc...) J'ai donc écris un mini script qui boucle sur le téléchargement d'un fichier de 5 Mo et qui en vérifie la somme de contrôle avec md5sum. Il apparaît qu'au bout de 3 à 6 téléchargements, j'obtiens un fichier corrompu. Si j'effectue le test sur une partition tmpfs, le problème se manifeste mais seulement au bout de 75 à 100 itérations. Bizarre... je teste la mémoire avec memtest86+ pendant 12H : pas de problème. J'en suis donc arrivé à soupçonner la carte mère (une MSI K9NGM-L), le CPU (Athlon 64 3500+) ou la carte réseau (intégrée, utilise le module forcedeth). ça peut-être le cas... dans 3~8°/°° des cas (je n'y crois pas non plus pour la carte réseau) J'ai une realtek 8139 PCI sous la main, je peux l'installer et refaire les tests, pour voir.. en 1er, je vérifierais toutes les connections: jus, nappes, CPU, RAMs, ça ressemble à un PB de RAM; le fait que memtest ne dise rien n'est pas suffisamment significatif; j'ai eu le même coup, et finalement après changement des barettes, tout est rentré dans l'ordre. Le problème c'est que je n'ai pas d'autres barrettes de RAM sous la main. Je peux éventuellement tester l'une des barrettes puis l'autre (2 * 512M)... en 3ème ça pourrait *éventuellement* venir d'une surchauffe du chipset, mais c'est extrêmement rare (V. ci-dessus) c'est possible que ta carte mère ait des condos mal dimensionnés pour être capable de couvrir une salve de micro-coupures (onduleur). La machine dispose d'un onduleur depuis toujours. ah si, finalement, une chtite possibilité que ça soit la CM si tu l'as relativement récemment acheté: actuellement *toutes* les CMs pour AMD sont de grosses daubes:( La carte n'est pas récente (achetée en août 2006) et l'ensemble n'a pas posé de problème depuis cette date et jusqu'à il y a environ 2 mois. Parece evidente que la BIOS del portatil tiene algún bug, podrías mirar en el kernel si existe algún workaround o intentar actualizarla si hay actualización disponible. Acer no tiene muy buena fama la verdad.

habrá sido el propio akregator por nuevo formato de archivo de config o cualquier cosa similar porque una actualización jamás toca ni sabe que existen los archivos de config en tu homedirectory. A Lo mejor los busca ahora en otro sitio, has mirado a pelo desde consola a ver si realmente han desaparecido?
Problema al compilar con gcc.-

Puede ser que tienes tus .o viejitos (hay que borrarlos y volverlos a compilar/ligar) O lo mas probable es que no le estas pasando una bandera al compilador para ligar bibliotecas externas o no se estan ligando bien tus .o . Por ejemplo para las bibliotecas matematicas se usa el -lm. Otra cosa, que yo recuerde, no necesitas andar manoseando la posicion de los archivos binarios para compilar gccs ya sean C o C++. Yo tambien me he quedado sin espacio cuando actualizo pero debian siempre tiene un guardadito, he revisado con df y en mi particion tengo 0 bytes disponibles y aun asi, jamas me ha tronado, sucede la fantamagica cosa de que la partición donde se estan instalando los nuevos paquetes comienza a crecer ante tus incredulos ojos, jajaja. Es en serio, sabia que debian siempre es precabido y me alegra. Yo creo que tu problema es porque debe de haber cambiado la posicion del archivo de configuración, buscalo con un find / -name '[elnombredetuarchivo]' -print usalo como root para que no te tire cientos de mensajes de no tienes permiso de leer esta carpeta puedes usar wildcards como *?, etc. y usa las comillas simples solamente. Hay seguramente algunos métodos mas decorosos, pero una podría ser sacarlo del grupo ppp, con eso se supone que ya no puede usarlo, y cuando quieras meterlo, usas el crontab pero tendrías que forzar un relogin para el usuario. -- Al principio, el Hombre creó a Dios; y lo creó a su imagen y semejanza. Use algum sniffer de rede para verificar onde ele tenta se conectar. O tcpdump pode ajudar. # aptitude install tcpdump # tcpdump -n -i [interface local] -s [ip da máquina tentando conectar ao msn9] Outro detalhe: para liberar as portas de saída, você deve usar o chain FORWARD e não o INPUT. O chain INPUT é para conexões destinadas diretamente para a sua máquina. Ajuda com o AWN
Pessoal Bom Dia!! Estou precisando de uma ajuda de vocês, instalei o AWN via aptitude no meu debian 4.0, até ai tudo normal abrir o gnome e fui fazer a configuração mais o AWN não abre a barra como era para abrir. Ágüem pode me ajudar não sei o que devo fazer e tudo material que achei não me ajudou em nada. E também o GDESKLETS não inicia automaticamente se poder me dar uma dica agradeço.

Depois de seguir alguns tutoriais e fazer as configurarções PARECE que funcionou pelo menos a parte de evio dos e-mails. Quando fui fazer o derradeiro teste, configurando o Outlook numa estação da rede, enviando uma msg de teste pra mim mesmo, parece que o e-mail é enviado. Amigo, Acredito que o problema que vc está tendo foi tratado nesta comunidade há alguns dias. O email mandado foi este: Oi galera, Tenho uma rede com máquinas Linux, na qual os usuários autenticam via LDAP e montam seus homes via NFS. Com o Debian Sarge, não tenho problema algum e as máquinas estão funcionando perfeitamente. No entanto preciso das aplicações mais novas e fizemos uma instalação nova com o Lenny. A autenticação está perfeita, o Gnome e o KDE abrem normalmente, as aplicações do gnome também (gedit, gconf-editor ..), mas ao tentar usar o Firefox (Iceweasel), opera ou o OpenOffice, a aplicação simplesmente trava. Na verdade ela tenta fazer uma operação de RecordLocking e não consegue sair da função. A montagem é feita pelo autofs. Esse tipo de problema não acontece quando a conta utilizada é uma conta local da máquina. problema com o rhythmbox
Lista Estou com um problema estranho com o software rhythmbox. Estou utilizando a versão stable do debian. Quando inicializo o software rhythmbox, na barra inferios aparece a mensagem starting rhythmbox music player e depois de um tempo a mensagem desaparece e o rhythmbox não é inicializado. Apaguei o diretório ~/.gnome2/rhythmbox, mas mesmo assim não deu certo, não consigo utilizar o rhythmbox. O mais estranho é que eu executo o comando ps aux | grep rhythmbox e aparece um processo com o nome rhythmbox. Realizei mais um teste e criei um usuário e consegui ativar o rhythmbox. Existe mais algum diretório que eu possa apagar e consiga ativar novamente o rhythmbox? Obrigado. -- .''`. Recomendo dovecot. Ele implementa pop3, pop3s, imap e imaps. JNXT settings?
I recently installed icedtea-gcjwebplugin, and the next time I connected to a MindTerm jar file I was prompted to set a JNXT (JXNT?) cache directory. I'd now like to change the location of the cache directory, but can't find where this setting is being stored. I'm using Firefox 3 on Debian Linux with icedtea-gcjwebplugin, and the cache directory is being populated by mindterm.jar. libxml2 security update
Hello to all, Updated the libxml2 package from security updates yesterday. Booted up this morning and Gnome is foobarred. For those you have not updated from this security warning, DON'T. Unless you are comfortable working from the commandline. Thanks for the heads up on that also, I thought that the security update would have fixed the aforementioned problem that the gentleman had previously mentioned. But, I stand corrected. Used aptitude to purge the package and it naturely thought I was insane and naturely downgraded to the previous version, little did it know that is what I wanted it to do. This worked very good (migrated within an hour or so). Thanks for the script, that made it easier (you only have a very small typo in your 'restore' comment, aptiude should be aptitude). Did plainly copy /etc and parts of /var (/var/lib /var/log). Currently its running, but the 2.6.25-2 kernel under xen didn't work out of the box. Thanks to everyone. Problem solved. Yes, I misunderstood fdisk -l. I assumed that it would list the CD partition also. I never even tried to mount the CD, as I thought that when it was not being seen by fdisk, it was not there, and there was nothing to mount. Also I've learned how to install from another version of debian, although it appears that this is not recommended. So, mount /media/cdrom0 worked perfectly, and after installing hal, I could see the CD icon on the desktop. Thanks again. John

Problem scrolling back in runlevel 2. Etch netinst
When working in runlevel 2, as with my Etch netinst, I'm unable to scroll back. for example I run lsmod, but only see what's on the screen, which is the tail end of lsmod. Now there must be some sort of basic window drawing ability, because nano works ok. Is there some similar app that I can start in runlevel 2 that I can use like a CLI, Konsole, for example, that I normally use when I have access to KDE's Desktop? I'm installing KDE, and the X window system at the moment, and usually with big installs, updates, etc, I save the Konsole history to my /home/user directory, suitably date stamped, and in my History-files dir. It's nice to be able to save the history like this, as it's easy to look back to when the system was last updated for example, and see just whick packages were installed, and any other stuff that was printed out while doing the updates. If you are getting a permission denied message, that means your binary executable, the a.out in your case, does not have 'x' bit set. Do $ chmot u+x a.out But if you are using gcc, I think you should not be getting this problem. Next, if you are getting a segmentation fault, you are illegally trying to access a memory location. To catch where the problem is, one way is to use the gdb debugger. You can search google to see how to use gdb to find what is causing the segmentation fault. If you need more help, just ask. Problem with a netopia switch
Hello, I currently try to set up a switch on my lan that has a linksys router. If I don't use the switch (therefore, router = computer), no problem of working (the computer gets an ip from the dhcp, for example, 192.168.1.2), great ! But If I add the switch to the lan, the computer gets an ip like 192.168.1.110, and this ip shouldn't exist because the router only gives ips from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.50... My interfaces file is : iface eth0 inet dhcp[...] If I do ifconfig eth0 192.168.1.2, the ip comes back to 192.168.1.110... Same if I do ifdown eth0 and ifup eth0. Any ideas so that the computer gets the good ip? (the problem could come from the switch ?) And I would specify, I've already tried iface eth0 inet static, same problem. panasonic dmc-tz3 problems
Hello All I am having problems with current lenny and my panasonic dmc-tz3 camera. I can connect the camera using PTP mode but for some reason I can only see the jpegs that I have taken and no video. If I try and connect using usb mode when I click on open in a new window kde pops up a bug report. I dont think it is kde because there seems to be no device mounted anywhere. Dmesg reports the following waiting for device to settle before scanning but nothing happens. fdisk -l only shows HDD. Any help most welcome as I need the vieeos that I have taken. Oh an by the way they are there as I can watch them on the camera. Thanks in advance Dan
