Je ne l'utilise pas sur un svr HTTP mais en ligne de Cde (CLI).

Et IMHO il va falloir d'abord t'occuper de SMTP avant Latex...

J'ai eu quelques soucis avec mon hébergeur au niveau des mails et j'aimerai sécuriser un 
peu la disponibilité du serveur smtp.


J'ai un serveur de mail configuré avec postfix qui gère un autre domaine et je me demandai 
s'il est possible de l'utiliser comme mx secondaire ?


Si c'est possible, pourriez-vous m'indiquer une doc qui parle de ce sujet en mode mixte, 
mailer principal pour un domaine et secondaire pour un autre...

Pour la plupart des domaines (je ne parle pas de gmail.com), un MX
secondaire, c'est du travail et du risque pour un bénéfice très

Lors d'un aptitude update, j'ai la ligne suivante qui apparaît en fin de
traitement :

Effectivement en me rendant sur l'adresse des backports, je vois bien
que le fichier release est expiré depuis le 29.02.2012 et un
InRelease prend le relais apparemment.

Comment indiquer ce fichier dans le sources.list? où ailleurs??

concernées (je pense que les responsables des miroirs Debian ont plus de

Je souhaiterais savoir si il existe une RBL de hostname pour les

Tengo un servidor montado en una máquina que tiene 2 discos. En su día
lo monte ocupando todo el espacio disponible bajo raid en espejo por
software (md). Me era imposible hacerlo por hardware ya que el driver
no estaba disponible para debian, solo para REDHAT y SUSE.

Bueno, el caso es que ahora quiero crear una partición nueva y quiero
reparticionar esos discos y volverlo a tener todo bajo el raid.

Como lo puedo hacer? Lo he intentando con el gparted, pero la única
opción que he visto es desmontando el raid, reparticionando ambos
discos y volver a montar el raid.

Es la única forma?

en cualquier otro caso tenes que empeser las particiones desde cero
con las n particiones raid que nesesites

Necesito instalar un gestor de incidencias (para Help Desk) gratuito para
las diversas peticiones de los usuarios de la empresa. Sobre Debian, por
supuesto.
He oído hablar de Hesk, Otrs y Trac, pero no conozco ninguno y parece que
hay muchísimos más. ¿Cómo funcionan, mediante un formulario web en la
intranet o el gestor de tickets puede recoger emails directamente? Me
interesaría más bien esto último. ¿Qué me recomendáis?

Una controladora hardware-raid suele disponer de los drivers necesarios 
en el kernel, ¿estás seguro de que se trata de una controladora raid de

Respondiendo a tus preguntas, la mayoría funcionan vía web (servidor web
+lenguaje de programación tipo php, python, perl o java, dependiendo de 
la aplicación+ base de datos) en local o remoto y algunas de estas 
aplicaciones permiten gestionar los informes -además de vía web- mediante 
correo electrónico, sí.

No he tenido que instalar ninguna pero sí las he usado como cliente, 
por así decirlo, ya que la mayoría de los sistemas de informes de fallo 
de las distribuciones y programas GPL las usan :-)

Me gusta Bugzilla, por ejemplo, quizá porque sea el más utilizado 
(Mozilla, openSUSE, Kernel, Xfree... lo usan) aunque entiendo que es un 
sistema complejo de implementar pero para los usuarios es muy práctico.

Como en todo, no hay mejores o peores, sencillamente la que mejor se 
ajuste a tus requisitos (lenguaje de programación, base de datos, 
sistemas de notificación, etc...), porque no todas admiten el uso del e-
mail, como verás en la tabla de características de Wikipedia.

Principiante en Debian+PDC Zentyal

migrar a debian todas las estaciones de trabajo con Windows ,pero no
sabemos como integrar debian con el PDC de zentyal para que los usuarios
se autentifiquen contra el server LDAP,permisos ,etc etc .
alguien tiene un HOW TO? especifico sobre ese tema.

No cero que un manual externo te vaya a venir al dedo. Zentyal tiene
lista de distribución en castellano [1], aunque tiene poco movimiento te
responderán mejor por ahí.

En su web tienen los manuales en castellano y en ingles ( zentyal son
españoles, de Zaragoza creo) pero veo que eres cubano y no se si tienes
acceso a su web [2].

Creo que lo que buscas esta aquí [3] y aquí [4]. Pero seguro que con la
lista te queda todo mucho mas claro.

Claro que no va... si no la detecta no puede ir, ni con el driver 
correcto ni el el erróneo.

Si windows puede detectarla, pues se gana unos puntos a su favor, quizá 
la placa donde está montada la tarjeta está hecha a prueba de bocatas de 
calamar aceitosos ;-)

   A ver si mañana puedo ponerla de nuevo en mi maquina y pruebo con
 ndiswrapper y el mismo driver que me funciono en windows.

Si no se trata de un problema de drivers, es un problema de hardware: no 
hay hardware detectable → no hay drivers que valgan. El kernel no puede 
trabajar con la nada :-P

Lo entiendo, pero soy cabezón y algo no me cuadra. cuando haya
probado todo lo que se me ocurra y siga igual. Entonces romperé la
tarjeta en mil pedazos y eliminare todas las pistas, como si esto no
hubiera pasado nunca XD.

Al final me veo poniendo un debian en esa maquina
anti-tarjetas-con-grasa. Lo que sea, pero que me funcione en debian (
y no la necesito, solo es que me jode no conseguirlo.)

De esta manera, primero intenta la autenticación con clave unix, y si no
tiene suerte, después lo hace contra krb5 y winbind.


   La solución fue arrancar en modo recuperación y eliminar (apt-get
   remove samba winbind) esos paquetes y los que tiene asociados, por lo
   que estoy trabajando en modo local.
 
  Qué radical... a ver, ¿no podías iniciar en modo seguro (init 1)? Esto
  lo puedes forzar desde el menú de arranque de GRUB, entras en modo de
  edición (e) y añades 1 en la línea del kernel, F10 para continuar
  con el proceso de arranque. Así no iniciará la red ni samba ni ná, pero
  al menos podrás acceder al sistema... siempre y cuando no necesites
  tirar del PDC para iniciar la sesión local, claro.
 
  Lo he iniciado en modo seguro y arranca bien, pero si no elimino samba
  y winbind, cuando doy la orden de continuar  el proceso de carga, se
  vuelve a colgar, pues no encuentran al maldito servidor de claves.
 
 A ver... ¿necesitas samba en ese equipo?
 
 ¿Qué sucede con las estaciones windows cuando las inicias y el PDC está 
 parado? Pues lo mismo le pasa al samba :-)
 
 Si lo necesitas tendrás que configurarlo adecuadamente para que cuando el 
 el PDC no esté accesible se inicie sin problemas.
 


La solución que puse, lo hizo.


  Hombre, si lo necesitas para autentificar tu servidor, es normal :-?
 
 
  Justamente, lo que quiero es que esos tres demonio NO se cuelguen. Si no
  me autentican, no me molesta, lo que molesta es que se cuelgan. Por
  ejemplo, cuando mi clave de dominio está cancelada (Evolution a veces
  tiene algunas malas manías y me bloquea la cuenta al tercer intento de
  clave errónea), el sistema carga sin problemas y accedo con una clave
  local. Es decir, SI el demonio está corriendo, aunque NO tenga acceso al
  PDC, le pasa la posta al login normal, de manera que puedo ingresar.
  Ahora bien, si NO puede acceder al PDC AL MOMENTO DEL ARRANQUE, se
  cuelgan los demonios.
 
 Pues tendrás que ver por qué se cuelga. Para evitar dejarte el sistema 
 parado, haz una prueba una vez que haya cargado el sistema, apaga el 
 equipo del PDC (obviamente cuando no haya nadie en la oficina) y reinicia 
 samba a ver qué te escupe en los registros.
 
  Puedes desactivarlos para que no se inicien al arrancar el equipo e

No me reconoce Pendrive

Hola lista. Hoy instale Debian 6 desde una pendrive porque la PC no tiene
lectora de CD/DVD.

Me encontré que cuando al poner cualquier pendrive, pues me da error. Esto
nunca me había ocurrido en ninguna distro de linux.

¿Algún hosting que conoscan que al contratarlo ayude a GNU/Linux, o en
particular debian?

Pienso contratar un host personal y tengo duda de si existe algo así como
lo que comento arriba.

Hospedagem para backup

Olá lista,

estou precisando de um serviço de hospedagem de arquivos para utilizar
como solução de backup remoto.

A ideia é armazenar remotamente o backup de alguns servidores, então
eu gostaria de ter acesso via ssh e não preciso de www.

Alguém conhece algum bom serviço e/ou tem dicas para esse tipo de solução?

Eu desejo que seja seguro. Gratuito não é necessariamente uma
necessidade já que ofereceremos aos nossos clientes e eles é quem
terão que pagar pela hospedagem.

Eu utilizo o dropbox em meu note e até que gosto. Mas eu procurei
sobre o acesso via rsync e/ou ssh e não encontrei nada.

Amazon s3 (simples storage service) é tranquilo e escalavel.
Pode se usar até mesmo uma máquina virtual na amazon.

Amazon? Eu até me interesso por eles mas acho muito confuso. Talvez

Utilizo mais o ec2, para virtualização de servidores.
Nunca usei o estorage. pelo o que eu vi até agora vale a pena o serviço
deles e muito bom.

Sim você tem que criar as VMs com LVM sim, mas há uma confusão nas sua
definição, hoje to meio sem tempo, amanhã eu vou ver se lhe explico

resumindo no fim das contas vai ter sim o LVM do Hypevisor/KVM e o LVM do
hd virtual dentro do SO da máquina virtual!

Hoje eu faço isso só que trabalho com hardware especializado para isso, mas
acredito que em software o desempenho seja muito bom ainda.

Olá novamente, acho que entendi a sua dúvida agora.
* Você tem que ir no menu Editar - Detalhes do Hospedeiro.
* Na tela que se abrirá, vá na aba Armazenamento e no canto inferior
esquerdo clique em adicionar um pool.
* Na nova tela selecione um nome (eu optei pelo nome do VG mesmo) e o
tipo logical(LVM).
* Depois selecione o caminho de destino e clique em concluir.

Pronto, agora o seu pool está criado. Quando for criar uma VM, na
etapa em que você cria o disco virtual faça o seguinte.
* Marque a opção Selecionar armazenamento gerenciado ou outro
existente e clique em procurar.
* Na tela que se abrirá, selecione o pool que você criou para a LVM no
lado esquerdo e no lado direito você cria um novo LV e seleciona ele
para uso com essa VM.

Merhabalar, umarım listeye alakasız bir soru sormuyorumdur fakat Skype 
yükledim, mikrofonum gayet güzel çalıştığı halde (ses kaydedici ile net bir 
şekilde kayıt yapıyor) skype ile verim alamadım. Karşı tarafa çok gürültülü ve 
sesi kesik kesik gönderiyor. Skype ses ayarlarını değiştirdim fakat pek sonuç 
alamadım. Testing kullanıyorum.  Bilgisayarım Dell Inspiron N5030

Görüntülü ve sesli görüşebileceğim msn, skype... ne varsa tavsiyelerinizi 
bekliyorum. Ücretli internetten arama yapılabilen programlar da nelerdir debian 
için uygun varsa ismini öğrenebilir miyim.

touchpad açma kapama

Merhaba,  klavyemde dokunmatik açma/kapama düğmesi var bu düğmeye basınca 
dokunmatik kapatıldı diye bir simge oluşuyor fakat touchpad hala aktif yazarken 
elim dokununca imleç bir taraflara gidiyor. Ancak touchpad kullanmasamda acil 
durumlarda ihtiyaç duyabiliyorum. Bu dokunmatik açma/kapama düğmesini nasıl 
aktif hale getirebiliriz. İşletim sistemi Testing, Masa üstüm Gnome, 
bilgisayar Dell Inspiron N5030.

fakat etkili olmuyor root yetkisiyle terminal açıp denedim gene işe yaramıyor. 
Bence bu dokunmatik açma/kapama dügmesinin kapamanmaması ile dconftan ayarların 
yapılamaması'nın sebebi aynı yani yetkilendirme ile ilgili gibi geldi bana ama 
oyle bile olsa nerden yapıcagimi bilmiyorum.

 maybe something is overwritten. Take a look at 
 /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-synaptics.conf 
 and search for the entry -   Option TapButton1  1 and 
 Option TapButton2 2.
 
 If  they miss, just add them and restart X, This file might be overwritten at 
 next update. I still found no way, to preserve my own settings, so I just 
 made 
 a backup and copy it over after an update.
 
 Maybe someone else knows, how to preserve the settings in this file during an 
 update.

Files in /usr are not meant to be edited by the admin, you want /etc 
instead.

Put a file under /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ with your settings instead.

I got rid of it!

Here is what I did:
1. Removed the symlinks in /etc/rc#.d
2. Placed strategic exit 0 in update-rc.d and invoke=rc.d scripts
3. Created fake /var/run/postgresql/8.1-main.pid and 
/usr/share/postgresql/8.1/tsearch_data files since it returned errors about 
them missing.
4. Finally dpkg -P
5. Restored the update-rc.d and invoke-rc.d scripts.

Nice thing about Debian that everything is done with text scripts.
But ... Yuk!

I think that will require patching the source.  However it's probably a patch
that upstream would be interested in; although, having the tab bar focussed is
probably necessary for some keyboard-only operation.

It's worth making sure that this hasn't changed/been fixed in the most
up-to-date version of gnome-terminal, if you aren't running it already.

3) so I should have workarounds, which I hope will support

I've succeeded using the Generic PCL 6/PCL XL Printer -
CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.7 (grayscale, 2-sided printing)

It is no problem when I use shortcuts (Shft-Ctrl-PgUp/PgDn).  Then the
focus lands on the cursor position.  It is only when I use the mouse.

Where do you get aptpolicy?

apt-file search aptpolicy  

gets nothing.

So does:

wajig search apt | grep -i policy

and

dpkg -S aptpolicy
dpkg-query: no path found matching pattern *aptpolicy*.

USB speaker as internal audio?

Hi, Im running Debian testing with XFCE, and PulseAudio as my sound system.

I currently have a pair of cheap speakers plugged into the sound out on my 
computer, and then two different USB speakers for higher-quality stuff.

I want to get a pair of small USB speakers as my main desktop speakers. Is 
there a way to tell the system to use these speakers as my internal audio 
device? I want to be able to hear system sounds etc. thru these speakers. Right 
now if I unplug the normal sound out speakers, i get no system sounds at all, 
nothing goes automatically to either of the USB speakers. In the PulseAudio 
volume control, the system sounds just has a volume slider, it doesn't let 
you choose an output device.

also, i have all the versions of debian in my sources.list, so it 
reveals all versions available of a package. (I used the command to show 
that is the latest version



gnome-terminal:
Installed: 3.2.1-2
Candidate: 3.2.1-2


This is what I use.


I have the same version and it works for me (TM). Check accessibility 
options, focus follow click or something like that. Im not sure where to 
find that kind of stuff on gnome 3 tho.


If you want to avoid the problem altogether you can just use
alt + 1 for tab 1
alt + 2 for tab 2,
etc...
ctrl + shift + T for new tab
ctrl + shift + W to close tab

i never click on tabs, its very inconvenient

list bounce messages

Hi,
I getting bounce messages from the listmaster.
The problem is my stupid ISP uses gmail, and if the from is the same
as the to, as it is when you post to the list and a copy of that
message is sent back.
Is there anything I can do with my subscription to stop this, or do I
just get auto unsubscribed, which I don't want.
and here goes another bounce as I send this.

I'm unsure about the why of the bounces but you can contact the mailing 
list maintainer and explain what's hapenning:

Otherwise you can filter the bounces to automatically remove them.

Jump to a terminal of your choice and test from there.

What I'm trying to discern is a problem with the X server when you're 
inside a graphical session.

octave linked to octave-3.6.1 but only octave-3.6.1 will start octave

I use Debian stable linux (squeeze).  echo $PATH gives (newlines added and
name replaced):

/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/local/games:
/usr/games:/home//bin:/home//lib:/home//lib/python:
/home//bin:/home//lib:/home//lib/python

If I do

cd /usr/bin
ls -il *

the output includes

262067 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root   9 Mar 21  2011 python - python2.6
262052 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 2288272 Dec 26  2010 python2.6

If I type python, Python runs.  Python also runs from my home directory.
This Python came with squeeze.

I have just compiled and installed octave from source and removed the Debian
octave packages.  If I do

cd /usr/local/bin
ls -il

the output includes

1584647 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root staff   12 Feb 29 22:14 octave - octave-3.6.1
1584644 -rwxr-xr-x 1 root staff 7346 Feb 29 22:14 octave-3.6.1

If I type octave, it does not run.  The error message is:

bash: /usr/bin/octave: No such file or directory

But octave-3.6.1 or ./octave both start octave.

If cd to my home directory, octave-3.6.1 runs octave but octave gives
the same error message.

Both the python and octave links appear to be soft links.  /usr/local/bin
is in my PATH.  Why do python and octave behave differently?  What do I
change so I can run octave by typing octave?

I got exactly the same Problem.
Using Debian wheezy (fresh install in Dec. 2012, so no update from 
squeeze/gnome2.x with a radeon hd 5850 Card with one Monitor.

Disable KMS = only fallback Modus , so no realy solution.
Any other Idea?

Because which octave is pointing to the wrong path?

The binary file is not there (/usr/bin) but under /usr/local/bin. 
Making a symlink could solve the issue though maybe not the best solution.

That’s because you only set this variable to your shell and did not
export it. Observe:

$ D=123
$ echo $D # Echo is a shell builtin, additionally, this $D gets expanded by the

$ /bin/bash -c echo $D # Let's call a subshell and send it echo $D. $D again 
gets expanded by the calling (our) shell

You might also want to play with the ‘env’ command, which prints out

Just to clean that up:

/bin/lessq (I would actually suggest using /usr/local/bin/lessq)
would then contain something like:

#!/bin/sh
/bin/less -q $*
-

To then install this (after making it executable) as an alternative
for pager, one would have to:

# update-alternatives --install /usr/bin/pager pager /usr/local/bin/lessq 100

which should automagically select /u/l/b/lessq as the default pager.
If you want to change that, try

# update-alternatives --config pager

or, to get more information:

# update-alternatives --query pager

Of course,

$ man update-alternatives

is always a good starting point for such things.

Note the path here, this is not the place where you installed your local
octave binary.

This is a feature of the shell, it remembers the location of binaries it
had run to avoid having to look them up in $PATH again.

Try hash -r, this clears the lookup table and forces the shell to search
in $PATH again.
