Amitiés Personnellement, j'utilise le JDK 8 officiel debianisé avec make-jpkg (j'ai participé au script de transformation) et tout fonctionne correctement. La commande update-java-alternative permet d'avoir plusieurs JVM sur la même machine et d'aiguiller les commandes vers le bon JDK. Actuellement, j'ai un openJDK6 et 7 + les JDK oracle 6,7 et 8... Environnement pleinement fonctionnel qu'après un « init 1 »
Bonjour à tous, Je fais face depuis quelques jours à un problème qui me laisse bien perplexe sur mon poste en Debian unstable : le son et la gestion des sessions ne sont pleinement fonctionnels qu'après une bascule temporaire au niveau d'exécution 1 ! Voici plus en détails mon problème : - J'allume mon PC et quelques secondes plus tard, l'invite de GDM3 s'affiche. Je m'identifie, la session XFCE s'initialise et là, je constate les problèmes suivants : 1. Je n'ai pas de son 2. Si je cherche à me déconnecter, seul le bouton « déconnexion » est actif, les autres (redémarrer, éteindre, mise en veille, hibernation) sont grisés. 3. Si je me déconnecte effectivement, je ne retombe pas sur l'invite de GDM3 mais sur l'invite de la console virtuelle. - J'ouvre sur la console virtuelle une session en tant que root et je lance la commande « init 1 ». Je système bascule au niveau d'exécution 1 et m'invite à taper le mot de passe root ou à appuyer sur « Ctrl-D » pour initier un démarrage normal. J'appuie sur « Ctrl-D » et l'invite de GDM3 apparaît derechef quelques secondes plus tard. - Là, je m'identifie derechef, la session XFCE s'initialise, le son fonctionne, si je demande à me déconnecter, j'ai accès aux cinq alternatives et si je me déconnecte effectivement, je retombe sur l'invite de GDM3. Curieux... Je suis conforté dans cette idée par un autre bogue survenu à peu près au même moment : au boot du système, le démon spamd me signale l'erreur suivante : spamd[2914]: dns: sendto() to [127.0.0.1]:53 failed: Connection refused, no more alternatives N'arrivant pas à résoudre les noms DNS, il pédale dans la semoule et je rapatrie mon courrier au compte-goutte. Mais si je redémarre spamassassin, tout rentre dans l'ordre. Qu'en pensez-vous ? Comment vérifier si le problème est bien celui que je crois et dès lors, comment y remédier ? Bonjour Netbeans est effectivement disponible en bundle avec le JDK 8 mais je ne pense pas qu'il y ait la moindre dependance dans le code avec Java 8, il fonctionne tres bien avec du Java 6...Donc tu peux attendre plusieurs annees avant d'avoir le besoin absolu de migrer vers Java 8 pour Netbeans, du coup OpenJDK aura le temps de sortir plein de jolis .deb De plus quel est le devenir de cette version batarde et qui en a besoin ? les amateurs de programmation fonctionnelle ont deja switche sur Clojure alors qui a envie d 'utiliser les lambdas du JDK 8? utilisation de cuda sous jessie

D'où ma préférence de retourner à un 32 bits, le ga in en vitesse ne m'apparait pas si important en poste de travail, sauf peut être sur des vidéos et encore ? Bonjour, Il y a en ce moment un problème de compatibilité, en Jessie, entre les versions de Open CL/Cuda installées et la version du driver Nvidia installé. Apparemment, seul Cuda 6 peut fonctionner avec les drivers 331.67, mais Cuda 6 n'est pas encore dans Jessie/unstable. J'ai préparé un rapport de bug mais pas encore eu le temps de l'envoyer. Contournements possibles : utiliser debian stable, là ça marche :-) Ou alors, revenir aux drivers nvidia 304.xx et installer cuda 5.5, et ça devrait rouler. Error en conexiones concurrentes SSH en Debian
Hola Grupo. Les consulto, tengo un equipo viejito con Debian 3.1 funcionando (con un 1GB de RAM). Estoy viendo que en ocasiones luego de tener varias conexiones por SSH concurrentes desde los equipos de la red comienza a mostrar el error: Server refused to allocate pty Estoy googleando el problema y si bien encontré páginas que hablan del tema no me queda claro cual es verdaderamente el problema. Desactivé IPv6 y se solucionó la tardanza en abrir páginas. Nada. He desactivado totalmente ipv6, no hay ningún servicio utilizándolo, y sigue igual. Lo curioso es que ni IceWeasel ni Konqueror tienen ese problema, es exclusivo de Chromium. Hoy voy a intentar otra reinstalación a ver cómo va. Lo que me gusta de Chromium, es que me mantiene sincronizado los historiales, favoritos y contraseñas de las tres máquinas que uso. Problemas imprimir impresora red en Debian
Hola buenas, estoy tratando de imprimir en una impresora en red. En clientes Mac y Windows, no he tenido ningún problema pero para los que usamos Linux, que aquí somos la mayoría, tenemos problemas para imprimir. Cuento lo que he realizado, he usado la interfaz web de administración para configurar la impresora en red http://localhost:631 Luego en administración y demás he añadido la impresora, la detecta, elijo la marca que es Epson y luego el driver del modelo en cuestión que es la Epson Aculaser AL-C1100 y se añade correctamente. Todas las veces que he tenido problemas para imprimir por red, a través de cups, el problema siempre fueron los drivers. Aún dentro del mismo modelo, a veces, algunos andan y otros no. Muchas veces termino usando el driver de otra impresora. Y hasta de otra marca. Y el protocolo que menos problemas me dio, en entornos mixtos, el el ipp. Ya sé que esto puede no serte de mucha ayuda. Invocando chromium --disable-gpu como indica el bug reportado en https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/chromium-browser/+bug/1315598 el problema al parecer se soluciona. Seguiré indagando. Generación dinámica de archivo de log con rsyslog
Estimados, estoy tratando de hacer que rsyslog me escriba determinados
logs en distintos directorios según la fecha. El siguiente es un ejemplo
que funciona, pero no hace lo que quiero (osea, en este caso se guarda
todo en un mismo archivo en /var/log/rsyslog/rsyslog.log):
ruleset(name=remote){
if $fromhost-ip == '192.168.0.5' then {
action(type=omfile file=/var/log/rsyslog/syslog.log)
stop
}
Y lo que quiero en realidad es algo de este tipo:
ruleset(name=remote){
if $fromhost-ip == '192.168.0.5' then {
action(type=omfile
file=/var/log/rsyslog/año/mes/día/syslog.log)
stop
}
Pero no logro hacerlo andar. Intenté con las propiedades, pero no he
podido. Usando el formato de sintaxis viejo si he podido, pero no es
aconsejable usar dicha sintaxis. Lo que si funciona es lo siguiente:
template(name=CustomFormat_Hosts type=string
String=%$year%-%$month%-%$day% %$hour%:%$minute% %hostname% %syslogtag%
%msg%\n)
ruleset(name=remote){
if $fromhost-ip == '192.168.0.5' then {
?CMTS;CustomFormat_Hosts

En este caso como ven uso las propiedades pero en el string generado con
el template. Luego en la regla configuro que todos los mensajes de log
que vengan del host 192.168.0.5 sean guardados en una estructura como la
que yo deseo.
Se pueden preguntar lo siguiente: Si ya lograste hacer lo que querías
por qué estás preguntando como hacerlo??? Bueno, es que sinceramente hoy
en día no sé si lo que he hecho (?CMTS;CustomFormat_Hosts) es la forma
correcta de hacerlo. En la documentación de rsyslog se ven muchos
ejemplos usando la sentencia action, pero no he encontrado ninguno que
en el campo file use las propiedades para generar dinámicamente los
directorios o los archivos. Lo de usar ?CMTS;CustomFormat_Hosts lo saqué
de un ejemplo escrito con la sintaxis vieja y por eso no sé si esa línea
en particular está formalmente bien (eso si, funciona perfecto).
El tema es que la misma documentación oficial de rsyslog mezcla sintaxis
nueva con vieja! Incluso su creador da ejemplos usando la sintaxis
vieja!!! Una cosa de locos, sobre todo pensando que en la misma página
te dicen que la sintaxis vieja por ahora es compatible, pero que en un
tiempo va a dejar de serlo y por eso conviene escribir todo según la
sintaxis vieja.
Me parece que esto no es algo inherentemente malo, sino que se debe a la
gran velocidad de desarrollo de rsyslog. Supongo que mucha documentación
no estará actualizada del todo.
En fin, a lo mejor alguno de ustedes me pueda dar una mano.

Escritura sobre disco USB ntfs
Hola Amigos! Resulta que tengo un disco duro con unos clusters al parecer dañados y casi no lo rescato. Después de intentar varias formatear con debian sin lograrlo finalmente lo logré formatear bajo win en ntfs, luego le pasé el chkdsk de windows y me dice: Free space verification is complete. Adding 14886 bad clusters to the Bad Clusters File. Correcting errors in the master file table's ( M F T ) BITMAP attribute. Correcting errors in the Volume Bitmap. Windows has made corrections to the file system. Bueno, el tema documentación en rsyslog solo tiene un calificativo:
desastroso. Pero, es superable :)). A ver, de entrada está mezclando
sintaxis antigua con sintaxis nueva.
De entrada, ¿que versión rsyslog estás utilizando? Por solo tienes dos opciones:
a) Configurar todo con sintaxis antigua.
b) Configurar todo con sintaxis nueva.
Ahora mismo lo has mezclado todo. Yo nunca he tratado de hacer lo que
estás intentando (básicamente porque sería infumable gestionar en
archivos planos el alto volumen de logs que debo gestionar), pero te
pongo un ejemplo de como utilizar los templates en sintaxis nueva
(versiones 6.x en adelante):
Templates definitions
$template idp01_rfc5424fmt,suricata idp01 %fromhost-ip% %msg%\n
if $syslogtag == 'idp01' then {

Como ves, la forma de utilizar el template difiere mucho de como la
has configurado. Prueba a ajustarla. Creo que la definición del propio
template es correcta. Por cierto, ¿estás seguro que quieres crear
directorios de hora y minuto?. Yo no lo haría porque dependiendo del
volumen, ya puedes tener un disco muy muy rápido en escritura. Piensa
que rsyslog está pensado para trabajar con +100K EPS ... O sea que
puede llevar a tu disco de cabeza :))

Hej! Jag försöker använda USB-minne vid körning i VirtualBox. Jag har laddat ner VirtualBox har versionsnr 4.1.18_Debianr78361 via apt-get. USB blir inte tillgängligt och jag får ett felmeddelande som säger: USB 2.0 är för närvarande aktiverat för denna virtuella maskin. Dock kräver detta att Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension Pack installeras. Installera Extension Pack från VirtualBox webbplats.. E as punições por violação. Provavelmente o que seu diretor quer é um relatório executivo explicando isso e apontando o que cada violação traria de impacto pros negócios. Confusion
Hi, When one has a problem with any GNU/Linux distribution and goes to the Internet for help, one is always a. assured that there is loads of help available and b. directed to a maze of mailing lists where any search immediately returns at least a million hits. This is certainly the case with Debian. Worse, almost every entry in those lists refers to attempting to perform some complex technical activity, usually with a root terminal, and is studded with abstruse technical terms. Trying to read through even a subset of those entries, obtained by severely narrowing the search terms, takes hours. And narrowing the terms may just have excluded the only relevant entry. Look at my latest frustration: I have downloaded 'wheezy' and created a CD from the Iso image. When I attempt to boot from the CD the screen image comes up, I respond to a few options, then the system reports unable to read from the CD - which it has, of course, been doing. I have created a second CD - same problem. Downloaded the file again and used that to create a third CD - same problem. I have tried these CD's on two different machines, one of which faultlessly runs the current version of gnewsense and the other puppy linux. Same result. This is such an elementary failure that it must be happening to lots of people. The CDs are all OK - I can open them, see their contents, unzip packages, read any readable files. My CD readers are obviously working just fine. I have so far spent two days trying to find some reference to this problem in your lists. Thank you for patiently reading this. My point is that I have a very basic problem that must be happening to dozens of other people, yet I am finding it impossible to discover the answer. And so must they be. Is there any way to find the answers to simple, basic problems without becoming immersed in millions of abstruse technical queries by people who are doing something other than following the very basic installation installation steps given on your own website? Given that you have downloaded three ISO images, I presume using the network (internet) isn't a constraint to your install. Can't run (Gnu)Clisp,Mclclim,and clsip-module-clx
HIi: I am running Debian testing with Linux Debian kernel 3.12.1-amd64.I am a newbie as far as lisp is concerned. I have installed the packages but done any further configuration.(require asdf) does not appear to work even though I put a link from /usr/share/common-lisp/source to .local/share/common-lisp/source; but it work if I have the file asdf.lisp in the .local/share/common-lisp/source directory. Though the documentation of clisp says it has been compiled with clx.I can't run any of the demos; when I try to run clisp -i clx-demos there is an error message saying it can't load XLIB package.I was successful with sbcl in running the mcclim examples but not with gnu clisp. (require 'asdf) worked without the link,so I presue hte link is not necessary. What am I doing wrong?Any suggestions?where is the xlib package in clisp? Sebastian

When situations like your current one arise, and you don't already have lot's of experience with your new OS, then it's even hard to know the correct terms to search for. Luckily, life does get easier after a while :-) In a project like Debian, where there are lots of people speaking different languages at various technical levels etc. even those terms are not universal. Check the FAQ at https://www.debian.org/CD/faq/ and search for verification. I have had issues like yours before with testing (!) snapshots. So, I just now downloaded the current official Wheezy 7.5 amd64 iso, checked its MD5 sum, and ran the installer in a virtual machine. All fine. Which iso file did you download, and what hardware do you want to install it on? I've also attached boot speed measurements for the two states. Windows 7 boot time with hyperthreading enabled is 2/3 that when disabled. This would be expected if hyperthreading is actually worth anything. Second, it turns out that the boot speed of linux is either unaffected by the state of hyperthreading, 3.2 kernel, or adversely affected by enabling hyperthreading, 3.12 kernel. I've attached I believe you will need to take this to LKML, unfortunately. One information that will help track down the issue, is to try several kernel versions in order to try to pinpoint better when things went bad. LKML: linux-kernel mailing list. I'm thinking that the hdparm scenario is a good canary for a more fundamental problem with hyperthreading, at least on my dn2800mt machine. Perhaps the backports 3.12 kernel hasn't been fully vetted Yes. It makes it trivial to reproduce the bug, so it would help tracking the issue down immensely. But you'll still need to do it with help from the LKML people, unless you can handle the git bissecting yourself. About git bissect (guides): https://www.kernel.org/pub/software/scm/git/docs/git-bisect-lk2009.html You can do this: git bissect start git bissect good tag for good kernel version git bissect bad tag for bad kernel version repeat git bissect good/bad as required to enter all datapoints you alread have or manually tested. You can move to any kernel version you want with git reset --hard tag, compile, test, and then mark it with git bissect good or git bissect bad. git bissect will offer you a new test point when you do that. Hint: when bissecting, for safety, first you should test and mark as GOOD or BAD released/stable kernels, i.e. v3.12.8, v3.11.5, etc. See above, use git reset --hard to move to different kernel versions, recompile, boot, test, git bissect good/git bissect bad, rinse and repeat. Try to use a binary search pattern, to reduce the number of kernels you will have to test. Only after you got reasonably near the issue using the above, should you let git bissect choose the test point, because it will usually land you somewhere deep into the release-candidate kernels (or even worse, inside the merge window), and those can be quite broken. Therefore, also for safety, when testing these kernels boot to single-user mode, run the hdparm test, note down what happened in a paper somewhere, and reboot to a known release/stable kernel. Only do any real work (such as the git bissect stuff, compiling, etc) on a safe, known release/stable kernel. Obviously, test single-user mode in your known release/stable kernel first, just to make sure the bug doesn't disappear (or always appear) in single-user mode :) -- One disk to rule them all, One disk to find them. It depends on what you tell it to do, and it is easy to get it wrong. The version in wheezy will align properly by default, but I believe you must tell it to start a partition at 0%, not 0. It will cheerfully warn you it is doing something stupid, though, so it is just a matter of looking at the debugging console of the installer. How do chrooted X clients connect to server?
Hi all,
I've been using chrooted Debian (and other distros) for years, but there's one
thing that baffled me many times. While many users seek help trying to make
chrooted X programs work (mostly due to missing DISPLAY=... or xauth problems),
I cannot find a reason why this works for me when it clearly shouldn't. I'm
running XOrg outside the chroot, which listens only on a socket
/tmp/.X11-unix/X0 and no TCP port, as usual. When preparing the chroot, I don't
bind /tmp to new root - I mount a new tmpfs, so chrooted /tmp is empty
(checked). Therefore, the X clients should have no way of connecting the
server, yet they work without any problems. I have studied source codes of Xlib
and XCB and found only the expected behavior of trying
/tmp/.X11-unix/X{display} and tcp port 6000 + {display} (which is closed). Any
ideas how this works or where I should continue my search?

Xorg also listens on abstract-namespace sockets by default on modern
Linux distros.

Hey, Josh. As a side note, you might be getting flooded by email from debian-user@lists.debian.org. A solution is to subscribe to debian-user-dig...@lists.debian.org, which sends you messages from the debian-user list in bulk, instead of sending you a message every time someone emails debian-user (which will destroy your inbox if you leave it for a couple of days :P). I hope you get to solve that CD problem soon. As said earlier, it may be that the CD ISOs you downloaded were corrupted in the process of downloading. https://www.debian.org/CD/verify explains how to verify the authenticity/integrity of downloaded CD images. In the case that the data on the CD/DVD may have been corrupted in the process of burning, https://www.debian.org/CD/faq/#verify explains how to verify data that has already been burned on optical media.
