Your debian is a test version, check your SSD in a LTS debian. bookworm/sid is a testing version. After the fault, I tried changing the root directory (/lib /bin) files to sym links but got bored by the time I had done thirty different files. I undid the above changes, and the system works o.k., just not upgradeable. Billy

There was no skipping, I went through all testings from stretch through buster, bullseye on to bookworm the years.

This is the first big failure, for me, in the years, though re-install is not a big issue, which I will do some time later as it all works but just cannot be updated and no new applications. I see your point in knowing weather the previous or the failed update caused the problem would help the maintainer. But all I can state is that it was between upgrades as no other application installs were made in this time. I do not know what I can say in a bug report ... may be I am idiot for keeping it so long since a re-install. I think stretch was the install, and it is now on bookworm. Billy

I'm not sure, but just in case you missed it: please note that he did not say that he sometimes cannot connect to the *network*, but that he sometimes cannot connect to the *notebook* through SSH. I interpret that (with the rest of the context) to mean that he's connecting the notebook/laptop to the network via Wi-Fi, and then connecting *to* that laptop *from* another computer via SSH. nginx.conf woes
Hi all, I have 2 sites to run from one server. Both are based on ASP.Net Core. Both have SSL certs from letsencrypt. One works perfectly. The other sort of works. If I go to http://localhost:5100 by redirecting to https://localhost:5101 and then it warns of an invalid certificate. If I try lynx http://cleardragon.com a similar redirect takes place and I get a "Alert!: Unable to connect to remote host" error and lynx closes down. When I do sudo tail -f /var/log/nginx/error.log I see: 2022/10/02 12:44:22 [notice] 1624399#1624399: signal process started I'm baffled as to how I can diagnose the problem. Salvo que hayas elegido manualmente instalar un kernel PAE para tener binarios de 32 bits y poder usar más de 4 GiB de RAM o se trate de una máquina virtual donde hayas alterado en el equipo anfitrión las banderitas de las opciones del procesador... no se me ocurre ningún otro motivo para que tengas instalado la versión PAE del kernel.
