Hola acabo de instalar Debian 8 en mi netbook ,todo bien pero una vez pongo mi contraseña se abre el escritorio y al minuto o minuto y medio se apaga como hibernando ,me toca dar a enter de nuevo pongo la contraseña y al minuto vuelve a ocurrir lo mismo . A que es debido y si tiene solución gracias de antemano un saludo Jose. Nota soy nuevo en Linux. Enviado desde mi iPad

Me he encontrado que algún usuario que está utilizando ultrasurf en su windows para saltar los bloqueos del proxy. Yo tengo una directiva de dominio que configura automaticamente el proxy en los clientes, pero los usuarios pueden instalarse el ultrasurf que mediante script modifica la configuración del proxy local de los windows y pone la 127.0.0.1:9666, hace un tunel por el puerto 443 hacia servidores externos y salta toda restricción del proxy y firewall. He intentado bloquearlo por firewall, bloqueando el puerto 9666, pero el puerto 9666 se abre localmente en las máquinas. He intentado hacerlo por squid pero tendría que filtrar el puerto 443 y solo dar acceso a aquellas paginas que sean conocidas y utilizen el puerto 443 (osea, múltiples y no muy operativo). He intentado bajarme el fichero que utiliza dansguardian para bloquear este tipo de proxys, pero este fichero no se actualiza y tampoco creo que sería válida la opción. Se os ocurre alguna manera de bloquear este tipo de aplicaciones por squid? Has intentado deshabilitar el puerto en tu router???... por defecto el ftp es el 21, ahora si usas un modem pues bloquea el puerto con el cual trabaja tu ftp... 500 Cannot exec CGI
Buenas tardes sres e instalado el antivirus Eset para gateway security pero cuando intento abrir la interfaz web del mismo me sale este error 500 Cannot exec CGI segun lo que e leido es que no estan algunas librerias o algo asi, porfa alguno de ustedes le ha pasado este error... se agradece de antemano.. -- Jose Perez O.
Ayuda con webmin para debian
Buenas con todos soy nuevo en esto del linux y lo que sucede es que quiero instalar el webmin para debian pero por algun motivo estoy que intento descargar hace 1 dias completo y no logro descargar esos 14 Mb :s , quisiera saber si hay algun otro porgrama que cumpla casi la misma funcion que webmin o si tienen alguna direccion en la cual lo pueda descargar que no sea de www.webmin,com se los agradeceria bastante... gracias de antemano por su respuesta -- Jose Perez O.

Sound card noise on Lenny amd64
Hi people: I have a Debian Lenny amd64 (up to date) running on a MSI K9A2 Neo2 mainboard. I have sound working without problems when suddenly some day started to sound badly: I hear a continuous noise like a 'shhh' (sorry if it seems funny but i don't know how to explain this). This noise happens always on Linux and I have tested against: - Rebooting - Disabling/enabling arts - Turning on/off aplications sound applications (amarok, kmix, kaffeine, etc) - Removing alsa-utils alsa-base - Changing speakers and headsets I tought my sound card (integrated on the mainboard) got damaged so before asking for guarantee for my new PC I decided to install Microsoft Windows and discard problems. But surprisingly I noted that this noise isn't present at Windows platform where everything sounds fine, perfect. This extra information I got: - When increase os volume (with aumix) the noise get worse, like something burning up - When booting my Linux box (at some point of init scripts) the noise get started - When halting my Linux box (at some pooint of shutdown init scripts) the noise disappears - There's no noise at BIOS or GRUB booting time I think this is just a Linux problem. I remember having experienced something similar quite some time ago. I think it was related by having some mic-channel open or whatever. It looks like something is picking up the output signal and feeds it back to an input again. Anyway, I think I solved it by muting that channel. Can you try (eg. using alsamixer) to mute and unmute every channel, and see if muting one of those solves your issue. Hope this helps. If not, I have no idea what's the problem. I run alsamixer and after probing all controls I found the muting Mic Boos and Headphone solved the noise. I still can hear the noise too low but only when I increase the Volume of my speakers to maximum. I think that this is pretty normal. Thanks a lot, I really believed that there was a problem with my Debian Lenny. I didn't think that something so simple such as adjusting alsamixer would be the solution. Herramienta de administracion de certificados digitales
Saludos: Actualmente conozco los procedimientos normales para la creación de certificados digitales con OpenSSL, pero esta resulta ser algo tediosa desde la línea de comandos por los varios pasos a seguir (creación de llaves privadas, generación de la CA, creación de una solicitud CSR, creación de un certificado con la firma del CA) y los muchos parámetros que se requieren en cada paso. Ando buscando alguna herramienta ya sea de interfaz de comandos, interfaz ncurses o GUI que me permita hacer lo mismos pasos arriba mencionados pero de alguna forma algo más simple. ¿Alguno de Uds. conoce alguna por casualidad? Me imagino que entre los miles de paquetes de Debian debe haber alguno que haga esto ¿cierto? ¿o quizás debo obtener uno de terceros? Espero alguien pueda apoyarme. Gracias

Hi: Getting a message about gutenprint probably means that there's something wrong with the so-called drivers, i. e. filters, that make all the features of the printer available. Do you have the gutenprint packages installed? You probably need to start with the cups-driver-gutenprint package (it's part of the distribution) and eventually install additional packages (also part of Debian) that specifically support the printer you're using if the support for it isn't already provided by cups-driver-gutenprint. Yes, probably I didn't install the *gutentprint* packages. I was a lot confused about lp, ppdev and parport modules that I forgot to install some extra packages required to print. I'm going to install other dependencies and after trying I'll post again the results. Thanks I installed cups-driver-guntenprint and after restarting CUPS and following the KDE Printer configuration assistant I get the same error message shown before (related to gutenprint and permissions). I believe that this error is caused by not loadind the lp module because I can't see any /dev/lp* device created. Any idea? Could this be a bug in some kernel module? or maybe a hardware bug in my mainboard? The lp module basically makes a device like /dev/lp0 available --- you can do things like echo test /dev/lp0 with that, but you're using USB. Hi all: I recently bought a new PC like this: Printer: HP Deskjet 920c (connected via USB cable) Mainboard: MSI K9A2 Neo2 (This mainboard doesn't have a parallel port) Processor: AMD Phenom X4 RAM: 8 GB OS: Debian Lenny 5.0.2 amd64 After installing some base packages I installed cups and when it tried to start CUPS daemon it hanged the whole system. I started to search for the source of the problem and I found that when CUPS daemons start it loads lp and parport modules (the later as a dependency of lp). Everytime I try to load parport module the system hangs inmediately. It happens the same when trying to load any module that depends of parport. Problema de Aceleracion Grafica con tarjeta ATI 9250
Hola a todos de la lista, Se me ha presentado un nuevo problema, he instalado el modulo para mi tarjeta grafica ati 9250 que lo baje de la pagina de flavio, el que hace los paquetes de modulos de ati (los baja de ati) para debian, pero no consigo que tenga aceleracion 3d, tengo una tarjeta madre via asrock, que creo que es el problema por el agp, hay una pagina donde cambian una parte del codigo del modulo para hacerlo funcionar, pero no estoy seguro, alguien puede orientarme? Problema con pendrive y con particiones NTFS
Hola a todos de la Lista, Tengo varios problemas, pude montar la pendrive y la particion ntfs pero cuando la monto con kde y la uso, despues que quiero desmontarla siempre me dice dispositivo ocupado, asi lo intente como root, y otra cosa quiero que siempre que conecte la pendrive se automonte y no lo logro poner, tengo los paquetes udev,hotplug,hal y aun asi no se monta y ahora que acabo de compilar un kernel 2.6 me dice cuando carga los scripts de inicio que mi kernel no soporta hal y que hay cosas que no van a funcionar, espero que me ayuden muchas gracias de antemano Jose Perez
