Lenny: configure ocsinventory fails
Hi all, I'm trying to install and configure ocsinventory on a fresh lenny install. First attempt failed because mysql is a requirement but it is not in the dependencies. Starting again from scratch, installing mysql, an then trying to install ocs inventory seems to work: it asks for the administrative password of mysql; asks for the password for ocsinventory; creates the "ocs" mysql user and the ocsweb mysql schema. But no tables are generated and using the URL "http://localhost/ocsinventory"; gives a "Bad Request" error" In the Apache2 log files I see an "Table 'ocsweb.config' doesn't exist" Anyone was able to install and start ocs inventory? There are postinstallation procedures to execute? Re: Lenny doesn't recognize virtual disks on a Vmware ESX 3.0 virtual machine.
Hi all, the problem is in the 2.6.22 kernel. I installed etch on an ESX 3.0 Vmware virlual machine (it uses 2.6.18 kernel) and all works fine. Then I upgraded from etch to lenny (it uses 2.6.22 kernel) after the reboot the hard disks are not recognized and the boot halts waiting for root file system to be mounted. If I start with the old kernel it works again. I have to do dist-upgrade from time to time and throwing away new kernel is annoying. How can I solve this problem? Open Office 2: where can I find italian hypenation pakage?
Hi all, sorry for cross-posting, but I don't know which is the right list. I need to use the italian localized version of oo2 on a Debian Etch distribution In the Debian testing (also in unstable) I have: openoffice.org.I10n.it (2.0.1-5) wich gives me the italian user interface openoffice.org-thesaurus-it the italian thesaurus myspell.it that seems to be used as the italian spellchecker missing openoffice.org-hypenation.it (I have only German Hungarian and Lithuaian) so no hypenation Where can I find the missing hypenation package? There is any recommended place/repository for italian localization of openoffice? Introducing myself and ATI+Toshiba problem
Hi all, I'm an ICT Consultant in Rome (Italy) I'm just switching to Debian (etch) from a commercial Linux distribution. Normally my customers use a commercial Linux distribution and are prone to religious wars about the distribution to use. So I decided to use a distribution that is not commercial at all, in order to propose/show prototypes that are commercial (marketing?) neutral. I've installed etch on my Toshiba Satellite P20 (with an ATI graphic card), and now I'm triyng to put at work the hardware components. I've a lot of problems, but I'll start a new tread for the not working components. Here only a question: How can I use the external monitor? (it seems that the standard X configuration is not good). It is only a configuration problem, or there is something to do in order to enable the secondary monitor? BTW the fnfxd package says that the kernel lacks the Toshiba support. There is any documentation about this issue? Any help will be greately appreciated.
