missing avidemux Debian package
Hello, Is there a reason for avidemux video editor is not being in the official Debian package repository? I see multimedia packages like VLC video player are present in the official repository so it should not be a legal problem. It would be nice to have this package in the official repository instead of adding an unofficial third-party repository. Thanks. Baptiste

hola, sembla que tens la targeta a 100 i que la podries tenir a 1000,
no? per a fer test i mirar si aixeques el tràfic, pots intentar
combinacions amb ethtool -s

[OT] Conky y Rhythmbox
Hola a todos.
He hecho un conky para mi escritorio, para ver algunos datos,
temperaturas,...etc.Y he hecho una parte en la que me mostrará
información sobre el archivo que se está reproduciendo en Rhythmbox
(Artista, Album, Tiempo transcurrido,...). Esta parte la he metido en un
"condicional", de forma que la sección solo aparezca cuando se esta
reproduciendo un archivo.
La sección de .conkyrc relativa a la "información musical" es esta:

Funciona todo bien. El único problema es que cuando cierro Rhythmbox, el
programa vuelve a iniciarse. Descartando cosas he llegado a la
conclusión de que el problema está en las lineas 3, 4, 5 y 6. Al
ejecutar "ryhthmbox-client" se inicia Rhythmbox. Pero supongo que cuando
cierro Rhythmbox, conky no debería leer las lineas que hay entre el
"if_running" y el "endif". ¿O estoy utilizando mal el "if"?
A ver si alguien me puede echar una mano.

Hi, I just installed plasma desktop 5 (plasma-desktop) on my unstable Debian GNU/Linux box after renaming .kde folder in my home and after I logged in, I don't have the window decorations! Is it a separate package that I need to install? I was expecting it to be installed when getting plasma-desktop just like kde-desktop used to. Anyone got this working yet? Boot issue - machine ends up in Busybox
Hi, On Wed, I upgraded my debian box (unstable) using aptitude and then shut it down. On booting, it gave me an alert about a disk it couldn't find and brought up the Busybox prompt. I have /boot as a normal partition and other partitions (/, /home, /tmp, /usr, /var, etc.) in a LVM group. On checking the LVM partitions, everything seemed to be fine. Then I did a lvm vgchange -ay and exit, the machine booted up fine after that. I rebooted the machine and had to do the activate the volumegroup again to be able to boot! Why isn't it able to scan the lvm groups and volumes? Is it something to do with systemd? The message before it goes to busybox is shown below if it is helpful. Gave up waiting for root device. Common problems: Boot args (cat /proc/cmdline ) Check root delay = (did the system wait long enough) Check root= (did the system wait for the right device?) Initramfs unpacking failed con linux 2.6.32-trunk-686
Hola, Acabo de actualizar mi debian testing y si intento arrancar con el kernel linux 2.6.32-trunk-686 me aparece el mensaje Initramfs unpacking failed: junk in compressed archive. He trasteado con el google y supongo que sera por lo que pone aqui http://alien.slackbook.org/blog/initramfs-unpacking-failed-junk-in-compressed-archive/, pues la BIOS de mi PC es de antes del 2001. El caso es que no se como indicarle al grub2 que el vmlinuz + initrd.img cuando se cargan en memoria son mayores de las 15MB. ¿El problema vendra por eso?, ¿alguna sugerencia?. Gracias. Si mal no tengo entendido, dentro de un mismo dvd de debian todas las dependencias estan cumplidas, esto es, si le sale archivo no encontrado probablemente tenga algun problema con el dvd, o su lector, mas probablemente el dvd. Re-descargar el dvd y volverlo a quemar (comprobando su md5 antes) puede soluccionar el problema. Supongo que ya conocerás esta página http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/installmanual En caso contrario échale un vistazo. Te será de una enorme ayuda. Saludos. Hay que ser un poco mas respetuoso con las personas que estan empezando en esto, es un error tratar a los usuarios nuevos de esta manera, porque simplemente se sentiran atacados. La humildad es muy pero muy importante en este tema con las personas que se incorporan en este mundo de linux. Tambien podia aprender a expresarse mejor y a preguntar, por ejemplo, no esque de mucha informacion una pantalla negra, puede que nisiquiera obtenga una shell... Es como el usuario de windows que dice Oiga, me ha dado un pantallazo azul (Bueno, ahi la respuesta del soporte tecnico es reinicia y la mia es formatea e instala linux pero bueno...) Amigo, en efecto tienes debian ya instalado, la pregunta es... Cuando instalaste debian, seleccionaste la opcion de computador de escritorio ?? de ser asi, lo que te hace falta es iniciar el servidor grafico... te cambias al usuario root con el comando su - (que durante la instalacion se creó y le indicaste una contraseña) y ejecutas en el terminal: startx Mas aún, si utiliza startx, no deberia tener que ser root (inicia kde/gnome/xfce directamente), y si por algun motivo no te funciona iniciar las X como usuario normal, siempre puedes utilizar un gestor de sessiones como xdm, gdm o kdm o editar /etc/X11/Xwrapper.config y poner anybody donde pone allowed_users= (poco seguro). En caso de no haga nada, te recomiendo configurar el servidor grafico, ejecutando (como usuario root) dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg y eso te hara una serie de preguntas para la cual debes conocer tu hardware de tarjeta grafica y las caracteristicas de tu monitor (resolucion, frecuencias). Seguramente lo tenga ya configurado, a no ser que necesite instalar algun tipo de drivers. Pero para hechar a andar el plugin tuve que bajar el paquete nspluginwrapper y seguir las instrucciones dichas en su pagina. Si bueno, se deducia que utilizo nspluginwrapper ;). He llegado a tener 5 paginas de youtube abiertas y ningun problema. Yo tambien :) lamento no poder ayudar para solucionar el problema, lo único que puedo dar es referencia del buen uso en mi versión etch AMD64. No es exactamente eso, no lo considero un problema grabe, no ocurre siempre, solo con algunos flash (por ejemplo, publicidad), cosa que espero mejorar con adblock, cuando tenga tiempo. Att. Si yo fuese un usuario nuevo en linux (no necesariamente usuario tecnico) y en una lista de ayuda en linux me responden de esta manera, pues esto dejaria mucho que desear. Hay que ser un poco mas respetuoso con las personas que estan empezando en esto, es un error tratar a los usuarios nuevos de esta manera, porque simplemente se sentiran atacados. La humildad es muy pero muy importante en este tema con las personas que se incorporan en este mundo de linux. Bueno bueno, pero eso de hacker rey del mundo no queda bien, ofende a la vista, y mas repetido dos veces. Tambien podia aprender a expresarse mejor y a preguntar, por ejemplo, no esque de mucha informacion una pantalla negra, puede que nisiquiera obtenga una shell... Es como el usuario de windows que dice Oiga, me ha dado un pantallazo azul (Bueno, ahi la respuesta del soporte tecnico es reinicia y la mia es formatea e instala linux pero bueno...) Amigo, en efecto tienes debian ya instalado, la pregunta es... Cuando instalaste debian, seleccionaste la opcion de computador de escritorio ?? de ser asi, lo que te hace falta es iniciar el servidor grafico... te cambias al usuario root con el comando su - (que durante la instalacion se creó y le indicaste una contraseña) y ejecutas en el terminal: startx Mas aún, si utiliza startx, no deberia tener que ser root (inicia kde/gnome/xfce directamente), y si por algun motivo no te funciona iniciar las X como usuario normal, siempre puedes utilizar un gestor de sessiones como xdm, gdm o kdm o editar /etc/X11/Xwrapper.config y poner anybody donde pone allowed_users= (poco seguro). En caso de no haga nada, te recomiendo configurar el servidor grafico, ejecutando (como usuario root) dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg y eso te hara una serie de preguntas para la cual debes conocer tu hardware de tarjeta grafica y las caracteristicas de tu monitor (resolucion, frecuencias). Seguramente lo tenga ya configurado, a no ser que necesite instalar algun tipo de drivers. Bueno, y ya que has dicho como hacer si tiene instalado un entorno grafico pero no como hacer si no lo tiene: Inicias como usuario root y ejecutas, segun el entorno de escritorio que quieras utilizar: KDE: apt-get install kdm kdebase kdesktop kdepim kdemultimedia kdenetwork kdeartwork kdeaddons kde-core kdeadmin kdegraphics kdegames GNOME: apt-get install gdm gnome-core gnome-audio gnome-games gnome-desktop gnome-desktop-environment gnome-media XFCE: apt-get install xdm xfce4 thunar Nota: Te pedira el dvd -- Mucho mejor

Si tiene por ahi una distro live que use lilo no hace falta el chroot, del mismo modo que haces eso, copias a la particion principal de la live la configuracion de lilo en la maquina en la que lo quieres reparar, la modificas y reinstalas lilo en el mbr, como dije en un principio. Claro que hoy en dia eso es dificil de encontrar, por ese mismo motivo: usa grub ;-). Yo he usado vmware, virtualbox-ose y qemu, la verdad, lo que mas me ha convencido a sido virtualbox, de echo, corre mucho mas rapido en mi maquina que vmware o qemu. Basicamente lo que tienes que hacer es instalar los modulos (virtualbox-ose-source), instalar module-assistant y virtualbox-ose, luego m-a update m-a prepare m-a a-i virtualbox-ose. Y luego añadir tu usuario al grupo virtualbox-users. Dos monitores sin X11
¿Alguien sabe si hay alguna forma de configurar dos monitores, sin X11? Esto es, una tty por monitor. Para mostrar logs por los dos monitores al mismo tiempo. Seria muy interesante, pues tengo un equipo de pocos recursos , sino supongo que no me quedaria mas remedio que arrancar las X con dos instancias de links -g (una por pantalla) y meterle un servidor web ligero con un script que se encargase de mostrar los logs de forma bonita (ya que estamos...) Bonsoir, Je suis sous Debian Sid et j'ai eu un petit problème en faisant un dist-upgrade tout à l'heure. Apparemment, l'erreur est survenue à la pré-install de wifi-radar. Du coup, tous les autres paquets n'ont pas été installés complètement. Voici l'erreur que me retourne un apt-get dist-upgrade maintenant : NerrOkmor:~ # apt-get dist-upgrade Lecture des listes de paquets... Es la primera vez que instalo debian en un portatil y, por desgracia, me han surgido algunos problemas de hardware que no se como clasificar, aparte de extraños: Mi targeta grafica es una ati Xpress 200, al parecer soportada con AIGLX y todo con el ultimo driver propietario, pues bien, este driver, a parte de que no consigo arrancar compiz-fusion con el, ni con xgl (si... el paquete de ubuntu :P) de vez en cuando me dice adios y me deja la pantalla en negro (todo esto desde la actualizacion al kernel 2.6.22-3, aun utilizando kernels anteriores y compilando el modulo de nuevo en el -2), con kernels anteriores lo de la pantalla en negro no ocurre... Ademas, al apagar el equipo me dice Sata disk may not be spunk properly, see linux-sata.org y ciertamente, el disco no se desmonta, al encender me hace un fsck, cosa que he soluccionado temporalmente, reiniciando en vez de apagar y apagando como quien dice del boton. Connection Wifi WPA
Bonjour, Je suis sous Debian Lenny, et j'ai eu un petit problème avec un dist-upgrade tout à l'heure. L'upgrade m'a mis à jour le paquet network-manager, mais ce faisant, network-manager-gnome a été désinstallé. Maintenant, je n'arrive plus à me connecter à mon wifi (en WPA-PSK). Je ne m'étais jamais penché dessus étant donné que l'outil graphique le faisait parfaitement, mais maintenant... Bref, j'ai essayé plusieurs tuto que j'ai trouvé sur le net mais aucun n'a marché, et quand j'ai essayé de redémarrer (juste pour voir) je bloquais au boot, apparemment un problème de dhcp. Est-ce que quelqu'un sait ce qui est arrivé à ce network-manager-gnome ? Ou alors si vous avez une solution pour connecter mon wifi en ligne de commande simplement, ce serait sympa également. Bonsoir, en effet :) Oui, mais ce blocage n'empêche pas le démarrage; il suffit d'être patient ;-) Pour ce qui est du blocage au démarrage, en effet, ce n'est pas réellement un blocage dans le sens où, après des échecs répétés de la tentative d'attribution d'ip, le système démarre, mais sans connexion, bien évidemment. Est-ce que quelqu'un sait ce qui est arrivé à ce network-manager-gnome ? Ou alors si vous avez une solution pour connecter mon wifi en ligne de commande simplement, ce serait sympa également. Suffit de nous donner le modèle exact de ta carte wifi (et le module utilisé, si tu le connais ou le chipset) Ma carte est l'Intel Pro Wireless 3945, et j'ai vérifié, il y a un démon nommé ipw3945d de lancé, je suppose que c'est le module dont tu parles. Bref, j'ai essayé plusieurs tuto que j'ai trouvé sur le net mais aucun n'a marché, et quand j'ai essayé de redémarrer (juste pour voir) je bloquais au boot, apparemment un problème de dhcp. Oui, mais ce blocage n'empêche pas le démarrage; il suffit d'être patient ;-) Est-ce que quelqu'un sait ce qui est arrivé à ce network-manager-gnome ? Ou alors si vous avez une solution pour connecter mon wifi en ligne de commande simplement, ce serait sympa également. était mon erreur, j'exécutais wpa_supplicant en background donc je ne voyais
pas la progression. En foreground on voit tout de suite mieux ce qu'il fait, et
on attend la fin avant de conclure que ça ne marche pas.

Sorun benim dikkatsizliğimden kaynaklanıyormuş -1 Invalid module format Bu hatayı almamın sebebi 2.6.8 kernela 2.6.12 kernel modulünü eklemeye çalışmam. Ben sistemi 2.6.12 kernel ile başlattığımı sanıyordum. Bunu fark edene kadar baya bi uğraştım :)

Aşağıdaki komutu denedim ama hep aynı hata #insmod /modul_adresi/modul_adı.ko komutu aşağıdaki gibi yazınca ise #insmod modul_adı insmod: can't read 'modul_adı': No such file or directory veya #insmod -o modul_adı //yine aynı hata nerede yanlış yapıyorum anlamadım. Modulleri modprobe ile srunsuzca yükleyebiliyorum. Ayrıca yüklemeye çalıştığım modullerin bağımlı oldukları başka modulleride yok. not: module-init-tools paketide yüklü yardımlarınızı bekliyorum.

Gorka, el archivo de configuracion del Apache2, es el apache2.conf. Tenes que instalar las librerias que corresponden al Apache2 con PHP4. Si mal no recuerdo es libapache2-mod-php4. Saludos. Problemas envio correo
Ya solucione el problema en el Qmail, era el Qpopper que estaba corriendo y no me dejaba loguearme correctamente. Ahora me surge un problema al querer enviar correos al exterior. En los logs no me aparece nada. Hice las pruebas via telnet localhost 25 y envie (supuestamente) tres correos: mail from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] rcpt to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] mail from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] rcpt to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] mail from: [EMAIL PROTECTED] rcpt to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Si hago un qmailctl stats, me figura esto: /service/qmail-send: up (pid 1745) 4995 seconds /service/qmail-send/log: up (pid 1746) 4995 seconds /service/qmail-smtpd: up (pid 1748) 4995 seconds /service/qmail-smtpd/log: up (pid 1753) 4995 seconds /service/qmail-pop3d: up (pid 1754) 4995 seconds /service/qmail-pop3d/log: up (pid 1758) 4995 seconds messages in queue: 2 messages in queue but not yet preprocessed: 0 Que corresponden a los ultimos dos que envie, pero el primero...nunca llego a destino. Merhaba Uzun uğraşlardan sonra network proleminin kaynağını buldum. Sorun sanırım ethernet* kartı modülü olan tulip den kaynaklanıyor. Kernel 2.6.12 yi yükledikten sonra dmfe ve tulip modülleri aynı anda yükleniyorlar. Benim için gerekli olan dmfe. # rmmod tulip (modprobe -r tulip ,yapınca olmuyor) # invoke-rc.d networking restart komutlarını verince sorun çözüldü. *not: lspci |grep Ethernet çıktısı: :00:08.0 Ethernet controller: Davicom Semiconductor, Inc. 21x4x DEC-Tulip compatible 10/100 Ethernet (rev 40) Ayrıca ses kartım ve fare içinde modüller açılışta yanlış veya eksik yükleniyor. Bir çok gereksiz modülde yüklenmiş oluyor. Tüm bunları her açılıştan sonra düzenlemem gerekiyor. /etc/init.d altına bir script yazarak bu yapılabilir ama daha uygun bir yöntemi vardı galiba? Bunu düzletmek için ne yapabilirim. Sistemin açılışta yükleyeceği modülleri nasıl düzenleyebilirim? teşekkürler, iyi çalışmalar
network sorunu
Merhaba, Debian testing kullanıyorum. Apt-pinning ayarlaması yapmıştım sisteme ve /etc/apt/apt.conf dosyasında öntanımlı testing değeri vardı. /etc/apt/preferences dosyasında ise Priority değeri en yüksek olan yine testing idi. Sonra küçük bir iş için /etc/apt/apt.conf dosyasında ki değeri stable yaptım. Fakat düzeltmeyi unutmuşum. bir kaç gün sonra kde ile ilgili bir paketi kurmak isteyince yaklaşık bir 300 MB'lık güncelleme yapmam gerekti (update mi down mı orasını anlayamadım). Şüphelenip /etc/apt/apt.conf dosyasına baktıp, testing yazmasını beklerken stable ile karşılaşınca bunu düzeltmediğimi hatırladım. Burdaki değeri testing yapıp apt-get upgrade ile tekrar 300MB lık bir upgrade yaptım. Bu arada, ardından birde apt ile yeni kernel-image yükledim. Şu anda sistemde iki tane kernel image var : 2.6.8 ve yanlış hatırlamıyorsam 2.6.13 smp Tüm bu işlerden sonra sistemi kapatıp açınca netwok problemi başladı şöyleki: Açılışta DHCP den ip alamıyor. Bu arada ADSL router modem var. /etc/init.d/network restart diyorum yine aynı durum. Yaklaşık bir dakika kadar DHCP ile ilgili işlemler ardından fail veriyor. ethernet kartımda sorun yok, görüyor. ifconfig yapınca eth0 ve lo için çıktı var fakat eth0 için ip adresi yok. ifconfig eth0 ip_adresi ile kendim ip veriyorum, ip adresini alıyor fakat yinede ağ a ulaşamıyorum sorun ne olabilir. Eksik paket filan olabilir mi?. Yada kernel kaynaklı bir sorun. Her iki kernel ile de denedim. Aynı durum. Eskiden 2.6.8 kernel ile sorun yokken şimdi aynı sorun onda da var. Sorun ne olabilir? Merhaba Sorun flashblock* adlı eklentiden kaynaklanıyormuş. İlk önce flash player eklentisini sildim, aynı sorun devam edince flashblock tan şüphelenip onu da kaldırdım ve problem kalmadı. Daha sonra flash eklentisini tekrar yükledim ve sorunsuzca, bahsettiğim sayfaları görüntülüyebildim. Ama flashblock eklentisi olmadan. * flashblock : Flash uygulamalarının sizin izniniz olmadan çalıştırılmasını engeller. Flash uygulamasının yerine bu alanda beliren butona tıklayarak uygulamanın çaslışmasını sağlayabilirsiniz.
udev 0.070-2 + DVB tv tuner card for mythtv
Hi, I'm running Debian unstable and I'm trying to set up MythTV to use my Twinhan VisionPlus DVB card. The card gets detected at boot time with no problems, and the appropriate modules are loaded, but udev (0.070-2) never creates any nodes in /dev for it. The udev.rules file contains a match entry for 'KERNEL==dvb*', so I added a catch-all entry that matches 'KERNEL==*', and outputs the kernel device name to a file. Nowhere was there any dvb entries, despite the dmesg output showing something about dvb0 Since my end goal is to get the card working under mythtv (which expects the device to be under /dev/dvb/adapter*), and all the documentation I see points to the fact that udev should magically create all this, does anyone have any ideas as to how I can proceed? Merhaba Geçenlerde apt ile firefox-1.0.4 yükledim tesing deposundan. Ardında bir kaçtane plugin ekledim. Tüm bunlardan şöyle ilginç bir durum oluştu: Bazı sayları ziyaret etmek istediğimde, sayfanın yüklenme sürecinin sonlarına doğru firefox kapanıyor. Bu sadece bir kaç sayfada oluyor ama her zaman oluyor. Ör: ntvmsnbc.com , bu sayfayı firefox ile görütüleyemiyorum. Sizce sorunun kaynağı ne olabilir firefox sürümünden veya yüklediğim pluginlerden olabilirmi. Yorumlarınızı bekliyorum. Teşekkürler.
HP 1160 yazıcı sorunu
HP-LaserJet_1160 (ilgili ppd dosyası yüklü) yazıcıyı sisteme tanıtmaya çalışıyorum. Sistemde cups kurulu 127.0.0.1:631 ile yazıcı görülebiliyor. Fakat test sayfası basmaya çalışınca ya bir kaç satır anlamsız karekterler basıyor yada birşey basmıyor. Sorun nerede acaba? Yardımlarınızı bekliyorum. Teşekkürler.

apt-get --purge remove mysql-server mysql-common apt-get install mysql-server mysql-common yaptım fakat sonuç değişmedi aynı hata. Ayrıca localhostla ilgilide bir sorun yok ping localhost çalışıyor. Fakat sorun bir türlü çözülmedi. Acaba mysql in başka bir programla çakışma ihtimali var mı?

ls /var/lib/mysql/mysql yapınca her nasuıl olmuşsa dizinin boş olduğunu gördüm. Sanırım bundan dolayı mysql çalıştırılamıyor. Burdaki table ları nasıl oluşturabilirim. apt-get ile tekrar yüklemeyi denedim değişen bir şey olmadı. Bu mysql veritabınındaki tabloları oluşturmanın başka bir yolu yok mu?

Birde http sunucu nasıl kurabilirim. Yine aynı şekilde dosya paylaşımı için...apache kurulumunu yaptım..yapılandırması nasıl olmalı. Apache bir http sunucudur. Apache yi apt ile kurmuşsan , apache server kök dizini /var/www olur. Bu dizin altında bir klasör oluşturup paylaşıma açmak istediğin dosyaları bu dizinin içine koyabilirsin. Apache yi çalıştımak için ise : #apache2 -k start komutunu kullanılabilir.

Normalde kendisi otomatik olarak /media/cdrecorder altına mount ediyor ise /etc/fstab dosyasın da bu aygıt tanımlıdır. fstab dosyasında aygıt dosyaları ve bu aygıt dosyalarının bağlanacağı dizinler belirtilir. Herhangibi bir aygıt fstab dosyasında tanımlı ise sadece bu aygıtın bağlanacağı dizini yazarakta aygıtı sisteme bağlayabilirsiniz. mount /media/cdrecorder Bu komutu işletince aygıtın sisteme bağlanması lazım. Ama şunu da belirteyim daha önce hiç usb dvd-rw kullanmadığım için farklı bir durum da söz konusu olabilir.
