bonjour

DansGuardian - Error connecting via IPC socket to log

2006-12-19 Thread Antonio Felipe

Hello there!

I have a server running DansGuardian 2.9.7.0 on Debian Sarge with the
kernel 2.6.8.

After sometime running without trouble, he starts to send this message:

Dec 19 06:30:01 preventis dansguardian: Error connecting via IPC socket

To stop this error I do an

/etc/init.d/

dansguardian reload

and he stop this error. But after a while he start the error again.
With this error DansGuardian doesn't log anything.
I have others servers with the same configuration and they don't have
this error.
I really need to fix it. Can anyone help me?

security = share

#: adduser usuario
#: smbpasswd -a usuario

mapeia o home do usuario no servidor e exporta o perfil.

Além do

I would feel bad and offer to change debconf, but I suspect you will see

SPARC machines (and especially the 32-bit ones) are not known for their
graphics... the IPC is no exception. Chances are that you have either
a CG3 or a CG6 (aka. GX) in your IPC. Neither are cabaple of more than
8-bit graphics, and I'm sorry to say you have no alternative for more
than 8-bit.

You can use UNIX domain sockets and the System V IPC (shmget, shmctl,
etc.)

It's likely that the problem is some sort of header or linking problem,
these things differ from one UNIX platform to another. What errors are
you getting when you try to compile the sample programs?

This is presumably what Samba wants:

Type ipcs -m to list all the shared memory. If htere's more than
one, you now get to decide which Samba is using. Then type ipcrm shm
id where id is from the output of ipcs.
