http://wiki.debian.org/OpenOffice:

aptitude install openoffice.org openoffice.org-l10n-fr \
openoffice.org-help-fr openoffice.org-kde

J'installe en plus sun-java-jre (version 1.5.0-14-1etch1)

Enfin, j'ai ouvert OOo puis menu:
 Outils Options OpenOffice.org Java

Là:
fournisseur Sun Microsystems Inc. - 1.5.0_14
 3. Je valide les options et redémarre OOo.

... et ça marche !

Merci à vous.
J'en profite pour mettre à jour http://wiki.debian.org/OpenOffice

Bonne journée.
Salokine.

 Bonjour,

/usr/lib/openoffice/share/autotext/en-US do meu PC.
não deu...
reparei ke os ficheiros ke estavam em
/usr/lib/openoffice/share/autotext/en-US eram zip's ( file * ) e o unzip -t
dava tudo OK
( provavel mente estragados?
)
cp /usr/lib/openoffice/share/autotext/en-US/*.* ../pt
pronto! tudo OK

ex.:
# apt-cache search openoffice

localize aí no ubuntu algo do tipo:

Basta instalar o pacote.
aptitude install openoffice.org-l10n-pt-br

Sprachmodul bzw. aktivieren Sie in
`Extras-Optionen-Spracheinstellungen-Linguistik` das entsprechende
Sprachmodul.

apt-get install -t sarge-backports openoffice.org-thesaurus-de

Re: OpenOffice 2.0 error messages

2006-03-07 Thread Villarroel, Stuart

Hi Rodney,

I found this page ( http://lists.debian.org/debian-user/2005/10/msg03046.html
) while researching the Error loading BASIC of document
error.
You describe exactly the problem I am having (apart from the fact I am using
Windows XP) and I was wondering if you had managed to resolve the issue?
I created an admin install of OO 2.0 for remote deployment and while the
dialog.xlc file exists on my admin install, I cannot find it on the test machine
in the application data/user folder or any other folder after an install.
Can you help?

Thanks

Noticed it just now. I have not used the help system as I rarely use OO.

Install the help file for 2.0 from unstable; it has no dependency

 It upgrades.

Greetings:

Am running Sarge, too, and would like some of the newer features of OO 2, but
was wondering if it can be installed in addition to the earlier version so
that I can test it before removing the earlier version. Could OO 2's newer

As I said earlier, it has not broken my system. It might for others who
have installed a different set of packages than mine.

OpenOffice.org is a full-featured office productivity suite that provides
 a near drop-in replacement for Microsoft(R) Office.
 .
This package contains the architecture-dependent binaries and libraries of
OpenOffice.org. See the openoffice.org package for more information.

Task: desktop

If it is of any interest, on my sarge system, I have currently installed
the xorg system from backports + Nvidia binary driver. Another thing I
liked is gimp 2.2.10 and inkscape 0.43 which are quite good.
Everything is working well, including quake3 :-)

OpenOffice 2.0 Sarge or Etch

2006-02-07 Thread John Talbut
I would really like to have OpenOffice 2.0 on my system. At present it
seems to be available in Etch or as a backport to Sarge. Currently I am
on Sarge with at least one package from Etch.

My options seem to be: use the backport to Sarge, use the Etch version
of OpenOffice, upgrade to Etch or wait until OpenOffice 2.0 migrates to
Sarge.

Any recommendations or experiences? If I wait, how long is it likely to
be before 2.0 gets to Sarge?

OOo 2.0 will never be in Sarge because Sarge is the stable release - all
it gets is bugfixes and security updates, not new versions of the software.

For a desktop system (which I assume this is) you're probably better off
migrating to Etch anyway. It's stable enough for the vast majority of
desktop users who don't need an ultra-stable release like Sarge. Etch is
certainly a lot more stable, IMO, than many other distros' so-called
stable releases.

it depends... do you rely heavily on k3b? it seems that k3b has been
broken (or not in etch) for some number of weeks/months. i generally use
sid or etch on my desktop machines, but then i dont have very small

Problema resolvido,
solução foi adicionar o /deb http://ftp.debian-unofficial.org/debian

o apt-get install openoffice.org-base automaticamente instala a dependência.

Re: openoffice 2.0 no Debian 3.1 usando Backports.org

2006-01-24 Thread A F Machado
openoffice.org-l10n-pt-br e openoffice.org-gnome ficavam seguindo a
prioridade do stable.
ocorreu tudo certo.
Muito obrigado.

The first annoyance however smacked me in the face when I saw the default

 things:

 1. What does the 'use system font for user interface' setting refer to?
 2. Where is this defined without the above checked? Esp: size!
 3. To what is the scaling factor mentioned in the View dialog relative? I
want an interface font that is smaller than what I get when I scale down
to the minimum of 80%. Besides that I would feel more comfortable leaving
this 100% and changing the responsible system setting.

Update...
After browsing (ploughing) through the sourcecode to find a place where the
font size was set I noticed OO2 kde integration. Googling revealed
kde.openoffice.org. So I decided to install openoffice KDE integration.

Problem is I run self compiled QT/KDE and openoffice.org-kde depends on
debian's qt and kde libraries, something I don't want my system
contaminated with of course. So I searched for the literal package
responsible for openoffice kde intergration which (at this moment) is
openoffice.org-kde_2.0.0-5_i386.deb and copied the files
(/usr/lib/openoffice/program/* and /usr/share/lintian/*) in their
respective places and whoops... KDE integration and small UI font was a
fact! :)

Hope this helps everybody looking for this solution a bit further.

Grtz.
Martin!

it takes over a minute to come up. Seems that javaldx (which uses over
70% of my user CPU) just takes a long time to do whatever it does. As I
haven't got Java to work on my machine, I don't know if it's that or the
OOo2 problem. Java crashes Firefox on a page with an applet...

openoffice 2.0 for testing hangs

2006-01-07 Thread Elaine Tsiang YueLien
It hangs on file opening and closing. oo 1.x no longer available for
downpinning. There is a bug report at openoffice.org: issue 60064.
Anyone else having this? Any suggestion on how to work around this in
the mean time?

This is just a font-preview, but going up in the hierarchy I found lots of

Openoffice 2.0 user interface font

2006-01-05 Thread MrVanes
Hi,

Today I found OpenOffice 2.0 trickled down into testing, yay!

The first annoyance however smacked me in the face when I saw the default
userinterface font. I allready found out how to change this using font
replacement for 'Andale Sans UI', but I don't understand the following
things:

1. What does the 'use system font for user interface' setting refer to?
2. Where is this defined without the above checked? Esp: size!
3. To what is the scaling factor mentioned in the View dialog relative? I
want an interface font that is smaller than what I get when I scale down to
the minimum of 80%. Besides that I would feel more comfortable leaving this
100% and changing the responsible system setting.

X has a dpi of 100 (xdpyinfo).

Regards,
Martin

Dependencias openoffice 2.0 - agora apt-get nao funciona....

2006-01-02 Thread Luis Gustavo mll
Ola Pessoal, feliz 2006 pra vc,

THE FLOLLOWING PACKAGES HAVE UNMET DEPENDENCIES:

OPENOFFICE.ORG-CALC: DEPENDS: LIBC6 (= 2.3.5-1) BUT 2.3.2.DS1-22 IS TO BE INSTALLED
 LIBGCC1 ..
 LIBSTDC++6

Many thanks to Steef, Felix, and Anthony, all of whom replied
that dpkg -i filename.deb as root was the answer. It worked
perfectly and I now have OpenOffice.org 2.0 running on my Debian
Sarge system with 2.6 kernel.

Because there were several (okay, a lot) of .deb files involved,
I actually used dpkg -i -R directory_name and it just worked.

I am once again pleasantly amazed by both this mailing list and
Debian.

OpenOffice 2.0 install from .deb?

2005-11-07 Thread Opus

I downloaded the Linux binaries for OpenOffice 2.0 from OpenOffice.org
and found that they are in RPMs. I managed to figure out that I
needed to install alien, which I did, and have now converted the
RPMs to DEBs, but I don't know what to do with the DEB files. I'm
running Sarge with a 2.6 kernel and I do updates using Aptitude
about once a week.

So, how do I get the OpenOffice 2.0 .deb files installed on my

go to the directory in which your with alien made debian Ooo files are, and

do as 'root' # dpkg -i /DIR/*.deb

go ahter installation to:
/opt/openoffice.org2.0/program/soffice and see if you can open OOo2.0 as
root.

do as root chmod 555 /opt/openoffice.org2.0/program/soffice

and open as $with the commandline
[again] /opt/openoffice.org2.0/program/soffice

or if you use kde from desktop

good luck and let me know if this works

 about once a week.

So, how do I get the OpenOffice 2.0 .deb files installed on my
 system?

Use dpkg (as root) to install .debs.

e.g.
$ sudo dpkg -i package-name.deb

or
$ su -
$ dpkg -i package-name.deb

You could also try to use OO.org 2.0 from unstable, but I suppose
you're using stable for a reason. Maybe a backport will be available
in the near future ...

Re: openoffice 2.0 fail on start (debian unstable)

2005-11-06 Thread yzhh
Thanks, Rene.
I found the l10n-zh-cn package was deselected by dselect some time
before. So I apt-get it again, and it's ok.

I often use oowriter to open MS doc files. The default chinese font
used in those docs is SimSun, which is mapped to some unrecognized
font in oo, making many chars displayed as blanks. However package
ttf-microsoft-simsun (and some other ttf-microsoft-) are no longer
available. For the moment I can setup a font rule in options dialog
mapping SimSun to AR PL SungtiL GB(oo default for zh cn) to view
the docs. However there is no bold or italic variants for this font.

regards,
yzhh

There is an update today in unstable dist. I installed it and all

You are using sid, why are you not looking in the BTS? The problem was
described there:
see http://bugs.debian.org/335262...

it's because the l10n-zh-cn pakage have not been updated yet.

Well, it should've been updated in the same run if you did apt-get
(dist-)upgrade. But you of course may want to install appropriate fonts.
If you can tell me which fonts zh-cn and/or zh-tw users normally use I can
Suggest
that package(s) from -l10n-zh-*.

Rene

Have you run them from an xterm window? Maybe that will give
some relevant information. Running it with strace and gdb might
also help.

Also, what if you rename ~/.openoffice and try again?

Works fine here on sid. Perhaps more info on your setup may shed some light.

As a rider, I've noticed that occasionally it doesn't launch first time
but starts and dies. Starting it again brings it up OK. I haven't
investigated why.

It used to have some kind of common command line interface, that you
could point at a pps, or doc file with 'openoffice file.whatever' and
the corresponding app would open it. (I use openoffice mostly to open
m$ files) This command line interface is not present anymore.

debiana (apt-get source openoffice.org) i podzielić całość na kilka paczek?
