Could you see each other ?? Probably not, huh ? Of course there are many servers (never mind how much), but I just didn't take into account that they are not synchronized.

I'd guess each one is pretty much stand-alone. They don't have ONE central authentication location. So, you and your friend may have been logged into seperate servers. Could you see each other ?? Some days ago a friend of mine had the same problem, not being able to subscribe to napster. I just gave him my username and password and surprisingly we both could use napster at the same time, with the same username. What happens the first time you run gnapster ?? It should ask for your username and password. You may have to check the "console" tab for messages. Also, unlike the real napster, gnapster allows you to change your name/password much easier. In the preferences menu, under one of the tabs, there's a checkbox for "New account". Hall
