But will try that. Not sure if I tried unplugging/plugging back in. I will look at gpm as well. I've tried exiting out of X, stopping GDM/KDM, but that does not work. --- Rodney D. Mine had been getting intermintent for a while. Last night it pretty much quit and I wound up pulling about three years of accumulated lint out of it. hola, tengo problemas a la hora de instalar un mouse usb en una laptop ke tiene tb su touchpad incluido, en el XF86Config-4 tengo los dos, y sin embargo solo funciona el mouse usb pero su scroll keda inactivo... Alguien sabe como hacer para ke funcione el scroll?? Adjunto mi XF86Config-4... Por cierto, logre ke funcionara en 1280x800. What Crispin suggested may or may not fix the problem; it's definitely a good start, but as several replies have already suggested, you haven't really provided enough information for us to do any more than make guesses. In /etc/X11/XF86Config change the mouse protocol to MS IM (or something like that, I'll check my config once I get back to my computer) and add the line ZAxisMapping 4 5 to the pointer section. This causes the wheel to be translated to button 4 and button 5 events. I downloaded the sources into /usr/local/src and installed it into /usr/local/bin. Kensington Scroll Mouse
Hi, I've got a kensington scroll mouse and was wondering if there's anyway to get it to work at all in X? If not, is there a mouse out there that I could buy which would let me use that feature on it in X? I guess I am too used to using the scroll mouse and I find it a little more than irksome to keep having to manually scroll through web pages and such. I guess my laziness has got the better of me.
