Yes, both Unix Pine and PC-Pine understand unix (aka mbox), mbx,
mtx, and tenex mailbox formats so as long as you're using one of
these mailbox formats you shouldn't have any problem using both
Unix Pine and PC-Pine on the folders. I've got lots of info about
"Setting Up PC-Pine for Power Users" at:

 http://www.ii.com/internet/messaging/pine/pc/

A lot of the info in there is relevant to Unix pine too.

Good luck,
Nancy

Then he has all mails two times on the Computer.

Better is to use PINE which is availlable for
win16/32, Dos and Linux.

The other thing is Netscape and put the mailfolder
on a Fat16/VFAT partition which is readable for
Linux AND Windows.

One quick way is if you have a primary system, lets say potato, set the
other one to NOT delete messages on the server. Most mail clients let
you configure that somewhere near creating a mail server connection. It
is usually on a per server basiss.

sharing mailbox with win98

1999-12-09 Thread Micha Feigin
I am running on my system potato together with win98
I wan't to download all my outside mail to my computer (quota problems),
only the problem is that I keep switching betwin systems (deferent
projects need deferent systems), so I can't use only one to read mail. I
was wondering if there is a way to share the local mailbox betwin the
systems?
I don't have a mail program I am working with now, so if its mail program
dependent I can just use the apropriate one.
Right now I have netscape on both systems and also outlook on win.
