4. Suggestion ?

No, but I do remember that when I installed virt* packages, it took a
fair bit of sleuthing / trial and error to figure out which spice
packages needed to be installed to get the graphical console to work.
Here's what I currently have:

Do you have the "missing" package installed?
The error seems to be common when searching online.

Yes. I have the package installed on both the host and client machines.

I'm not sure what you're asking, but the graphical console works here
even when I launch virt-manager as my regular user (although that user
is a member of groups libvirt, kvm, and adm).

Also, I should note that I'm running Stretch.

correctamente.

Proxmox VE pvetest Repository

The pvetest repo is for testing only, there is no Proxmox VE
Subscription Key needed to access this repository.

In order to use the pvetest repository, adapt your sources.list:

nano /etc/apt/sources.list

deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian wheezy main contrib

# PVE pvetest repository provided by proxmox.com
deb http://download.proxmox.com/debian wheezy pvetest

# security updates
deb http://security.debian.org/ wheezy/updates main contrib

Y evidentemente instalarte el cliente virt-viewer.

Saludos.

izquierda y darle a Options.

Parameter verification failed. (400)

console: property is not defined in schema and the schema does not
allow additional properties

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U9QXf3tXJ0M

[OT] PSPICE-Spice Model Converter

2002-12-15 Thread Pigeon
PSPICE circuit simulation software runs under DOS, and is derived from
the original Spice which can be downloaded from Berkeley and compiled
for Linux.

Unfortunately PSPICE has changed the format for transistor models
slightly, and they are not quite compatible with Spice. Each format
seems to have a couple of parameters which the other doesn't, and they
are not simply the same things renamed.

Some semiconductor manufacturers provide models in both formats, but
more provide PSPICE format only.

To help me get away from DOS, does anybody know of a program - or even
an algorithm - to convert between the two formats? I've tried Google,
with total lack of success.

SPICE building custom package hangs

2002-09-04 Thread Titus Barik

Hi,

I know that SPICE cannot be packaged due to legal reasons. However, I
wanted to create my own unofficial Debian SPICE package. To do this, I
followed the instructions listed at this page:

http://www.eda.ei.tum.de/~mcp/spicedeb/

I downloaded the SPICE package itself from:

ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/linux/apps/circuits/spice3f5sbins.tgz

Everything looks like it is going smoothly until step 5. During this, I
get the following:

snip
make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/spice/spice-3f5'
Done with build at Wed Sep 4 21:27:00 EDT 2002
touch install-stamp
dh_testdir
dh_testroot
dh_installdocs
dh_installexamples examples/*
dh_installmenu
dh_installcron
dh_installmanpages

And then dpkg-buildpackage hangs. It will not say anything past the
dh_installmanpages line. Any ideas?

I am running Debian testing, if that helps any.

Thanks in advance,

Web interface for spice

2000-08-30 Thread Suresh Kumar. R
Dear fellow debians,

Kindly excuse me if this posting was completely in a wrong list.

A group of students of my university is interested developing a web
interface for the berkeley spice program which has been ported to
linux by someone. The advantage of having such an interface is that
it would help everybody with a browser to use the linux version of spice
which is all powerful with no limitations of number of devices unlike
the popular microsim spice eval versions which work under MS. The
professional versions of spice with no model limitations costs huge money.

We would like to know whether you have done some work in this area/you
know of someone who have done something in this area.

Thanking you,

With regards,

Suresh

CAE/SPICE for Slink/Potato

2000-06-24 Thread Bill
Hi all,
I'm trying to model a circuit, actually a high powered inverter and I'm
trying to find a simulation program to do it. All the W9x programs I've found
so far are demos, not able to handle all the components. Does anyone have any
idea as to where I can find sims for Linux and their accuracy? Has anybody
used any of them?
   Any input appreciated.
Thanks

umm, i don't know about any for linux, so this msg is kinda off topic, but
check out protel for windows, you can order a trial cd from them which should
fully work for about a month, they have all kinds of nice libs with it and
stuff, and you can download extra libs, it can design a PCBs and stuff, anyway
if you do order the trial cd, don't get hooked on it ;) the software costs
close to $5k :) or you could just download it too but it is around 60mb ...

the site is www.protel.com, and no i don't work for them, i just ordered a
trial cd for my hack'n'slash company and i was very happy with it, but on my
budget - i can't afford it ;)

anyway, this is getting little too long for OT :)

You need to install the termcap compatibility package, termcap-compat
and then you may need to create the link:

ln -s /lib/libtermcap.so.2 /lib/libtermcap.so

It's been a while since I needed this but that's my recollection.

AFAIR it is a solution for programs already compiled to work with termcap.
For compilation of termcap dependent programs the ncurses library (as it was
mentioned two messages ago) is the proper choice.

The source of SPICE for Linux may be found almost everywhere. Just connect
to any archie service (eg. http://archie.luth.se) and enter the
spice3f5sfix.tar.gz as a search string.
You'll get a lot of location to download it from.
I've downloaded it from:
ftp://ftp.sunsite.org.uk/Mirrors/sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/apps/circuits/spice3f5sfix.tar.gz
and compiled without any special problems.

No, as there are some copyright/license problems with spice.

Spice on debian?

1998-03-31 Thread Nebu John Mathai
I was just wondering whether anyone has got Spice from Berkeley (3f4) to
work under Debian. I remember a while back trying to compile from the
original sources and from a GNU/linux-ified version of the sources but got
errors. Being no expert at building software I quit.

Are there any pointers anywhere on how to build software under
Unix systems? Perhaps I can build it myself and debianize it ...

Thanks for your help!
