  Tirei todas as extenções, mas continua não iniciando. Engraçado que 
chega a aparecer um logo do Debian, o que, acho, mostra que o driver de 
video funciona (s3 virge), e eu consigo mexer o mouse por alguns 
segundos antes do X cair. Estou anexando o novo XFree86.0.log; com o X 
sem as extenções, ficou mais limpo.

Seu X carrega uma pancada de extenções, vai tirando elas aos poucos e
testando pra ver se resolve.
