Hola Jaume y demás listeros,

A pesar de esos avisos (WW) y errores (EE) a mi X me arrancó, eso sí
el ratón iba loco, así que tuve que comentar la sección del ratón que
hace referencia a imPS2 y al final del /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 cuando se
hace referencia a dicha sección.

Lo del warning de frame buffer no te sé decir, yo no utilizo frame
buffer.

Por otro lado comentaste:
Con  startx  errores.txt me voy a gnome pero no puedo entrar en kde3,
en # vi errores.txt no me sale nada, algún sitio más donde te pueda
mandar los errores que provocan que no pueda entrar en kde3

Entonces el sistema X funciona lo que no funciona es KDE-3

Para iniciar el entorno KDE o bien lo haces en modo gráfico con kdm
(apt-get install kdm) o bien lo haces desde consola con xinit o con
startx. Si lo haces con el primero crea el fichero .xinitrc que
contenga únicamente la palaba startkde si lo haces con el segundo crea
el fichero .xsession conteniendo únicamente startkde.

El log ni dice nada,asi que no es problema de las xfree, además te
arranca gnome... 

No soy usario de kde, pero a ver si siguiendo un par de reglas sale.
apt-get install kde
(asi seguro que tenemos todo lo necesario)
En kdm indicamos como sesión: kde
o en gdm seleccionamos sesión y ponemos kde
nos logeamos y debería salir el splash de kde.. sino, no se me ocurre
que más decirte...
