Bug#193387: Freenet package orphaned

2003-05-15 Thread Skliarouk Arieh
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

The current maintainer of freenet, Robert Bihlmeyer [EMAIL PROTECTED].,
is apparently not active anymore. Therefore, propose to orphan this
package now.

If you want to be the new maintainer, please take it -- see
http://www.debian.org/devel/wnpp/index.html#howto-o for detailed
instructions how to adopt a package properly.

Justification: RC bugs, didn't respond to ping

Bye,
Arieh.

It would be nice to have a rationale for why the older version is
needed.

Thanks. (Kind of calls into question all those assertions on -legal last
year that we can't possibly modify TeX or LaTeX because we have to be
able to process ancient sources forever ... not that I'm sure I ever
believed them anyway. :))

Greetings Tsuchiya and all,

I use LaTeX2e and friends (almost daily). I do not use the 2.09
compatability mode, but it is my understanding that when latex
sees \documentstyle{foo} instead of the 2e
\documentclass[bar,platz,goziamazu]{foo} construction, it loads
the crippled, 2.09 compatable files. I mention this only because you
have not detailed the extent of your difficulties, which would be
off-topic here.

Perhaps I could lend a hand here if you would contact me directly
with a URL to where I could find the style file. I do only English,
so I may not be of much help.

Bug#193495: ITP: libtest-manifest-perl -- Perl modules for interacting with a test manifest file

Package: wnpp

Severity: wishlist

* Package name: libtest-manifest-perl
  Version : 0.91
  Upstream Author : Michael G Schwern [EMAIL PROTECTED]
* URL : http://www.cpan.org/
* License : GPL, Artistic
  Description : Perl modules for interacting with a test manifest file

Perl's MakeMaker assumes that you want to run all of the .t files in
the t/ directory in ascii-betical order during `make test` unless you
say otherwise. This leads to some interesting naming schemes for
test files to get them in the desired order.

Test::Manifest looks in the t/test_manifest file to find out which
tests you want to run and the order in which you want to run them.
It constructs the right value for MakeMaker to do the right thing.

This package is needed for the latest version of XML::RSS.

Thank you for your kindness.

If I had few ancient TeX sources, I would try to modify them for
LaTeX2e. Actually, there are so many sources written by graduates
that I can not modify all of them.
