Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: gnuplot-extra-doc Version : covers GnuPlot 3.8 Upstream Author : KAWANO Toshihiko [EMAIL PROTECTED] * URL : http://t16web.lanl.gov/Kawano/gnuplot/index-e.html * License : GFDL (http://t16web.lanl.gov/Kawano/gnuplot/copyright.html) Description : Extra documentation for practical GnuPlot usage This is a very helpful documentation for practical GnuPlot usage which extends official GnuPlot documentation with interesting examples and special code for post processing. Remark: It would make sense if it would be packaged by a native Japanese speaker because it exists in English and Japanese translation. That's why I do not do it for myself because I could only be responsible for the English part. You have to obtain the HTML pages via wget. Bug#193758: Bug#132919: xsupplicant package
Hi, Eric and I have exchanged some private email and decided to co-maintain the xsupplicant package, as both of us already put some effort in it and are willing to keep on doing that. This should result in a good and mature package soon. Cheers, Chris. --- Hi Chris, I too have been creating packages of xsupplicant development releases, (plus a few CVS snapshots), in preparation for a sponsored upload. http://sym-link.com/~eevans/debian/unstable/xsupplicant/binary-i386/ I have been in contact with upstream, and am working with them on resolving several issues prior to any serious effort in getting it uploaded, (most of these changes will be in place in time for the 1.0 release of xsupplicant). Unfortunately, I was unaware of your ITP or I would have made some attempt at contacting you and avoiding overlapping efforts. I gather from your CC to 132919 that you are aware of my efforts and intend to proceed anyway. If this changes, let me know as I am still very interested in this packaging it. Thanks, -- Eric

If so, please remember to keep the bugtracking system informed of progress and delays. OK, I'll do. OpenThesaurus (http://thesaurus.kdenews.org) - that's what it actually is from - is GPL. The GPL says that you have to provide or offer the source a.k.a. preferred form of modification. Courrently, upstream only provides the thesaurus binary files for dowload and a database dump. This database dump is not the source in sense of the GPL sense because it _may_ be the preffered form of modification but it does not contain the scripts which are needed to get this dump into a form where thencode (which creates the thesaurus binaries) can process it. As I did ask for those scripts (a.k.a part of the source in the GPL sense) I didn't get it. (No offense intended, this is just a report.) So I could not package this even if I wanted to... No problem. I had forgotten about it :^ How come you never got around to packaging it? It's a very useful tool for those misfortunate enough to be stuck behind an MS Poxy Server. Yes, I know. But my problem solved itself; we kicked M$ out of the building as a whole. Anyway, it's done now. If you want to, feel free to take it over from me. Nah, please keep it! Bug#215195: ITA: xcruise -- Fly about 3D-formed file system
One problem I noticed: If you hit the escape key in the program, the camera zooms backwards at an alarmingly fast rate. Nothing I've managed to do has fixed this. It zooms back until (I'm guessing it buffer overflows) and segfaults. Any luck duplicating this? -- Link Dupont [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: guievict Version : x.y.z Upstream Author : Vic Zandy [EMAIL PROTECTED] * URL : http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~zandy/guievict/ * License : LGPL Description : A system for checkpointing and migrating the GUI of an X window application from http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~zandy/guievict/: Guievict is a system for checkpointing and migrating the GUI of an X window application. It is based on a window server extension and runtime process re-writing; application binaries do not need to be modified or started in a special way to be used with guievict.
