There is only a binary deb at the given location, but I can't see your
sources / changes to the source. You'll need to provide those once
you'll ask on debian-mentors for a sponsor.

Anyways, perhaps you are interested in what I've put together in
March. Once I was going to package sextractor when it was still in
Debian, but didn't actually submit my packaging for inclusion as I
couldn't test it throughfully due to lack of proper input data and
response from upstream. Please see
for details as well as the SExtractor List Archive.

So my .dsc and .diff.gz at
might still be of some use for you. You might even consider
co-maintainership to combine the effort...

Good luck,
cheers,
Flo

Sextractor finds sources (like stars) in astronomical images. Its
really good and finding faint stuff, much better than daofind.

I already have a package in a repository:

deb http://www.justinpryzby.com/debian/ ./

I'll clean it up some with lintian eventually. I need a sponsor.

Bug#204898: small reward

2004-07-21 Thread Jeff Breidenbach

I know it's not much, but I'll pay twenty bucks US to the person who
packages eman. Payment will be sent to whoever's name is in the
maintainer field when I can apt-get it from Sid. Offer is good until
Dec 31, 2004. Please remember to file an ITP, so as to not create
confusion or duplicated work.

Cheers,
Jeff

Description: Installer for interactive fiction games from the if-archive.
This installer offers an easy way to install and manage zcode (a.k.a.
Infocom-like) games: you tell it which games to install, and it will
download and register them. Removing one or more games is done in a similar
 way.
 .
All registered games will be deleted when removing this package, just as if
they were a part of it.
 .
You need to have libwww-perl installed if you want the script to download
 the games and index itself.
 .
To actually play the games you need a package providing a zcode interpreter.

Justification: same reason as before (unmaintained, maintainer doesn't
respond), but these packages were overlooked

Exult is a game engine which can be used to play the classic games of
Ultima VII under X11 (full-screen or in a window). The Black Gate (including
Forge Of Virtue) and Serpent Isle (plus Silver Seed) are both playable to
the end. Some minor differences to the originals remain, see FAQ 5.3./5.4.

been written yet. Therefore, Exult is useless unless you own a copy of one
 of the Ultima VIIs.

 .
Note that Exult Studio is still in alpha stage, and not very stable at the
moment. The format used for saving may also change, so don't create big games
 just yet.

This package also includes tools to manipulate the files used by Exult, see
 expack(1), textpack(1), ipack(1), splitshp(1), and shp2pcx(1) for more info.

A GIMP plugin is provided, so that if you have the GIMP installed you can edit
and create game graphics with it.

  Description : 3D Rubik's cube game

GNUbik is an interactive, graphical, single player puzzle. This free
program renders an image of a cube, like that invented by Erno Rubik.
You have to manipulate the cube using the mouse. When each face shows
only one colour, the game is solved.
 .
 It uses Gtk+ and/or X11 and Mesa / OpenGL.
 .

Unlike xrubik from the xpuzzles package this one will present a 3D
cube.

The current state of my packaging can always be found at
. Once I'm content with my

sufficiently advanced yet in the NM queue to do it completely on my
own.

I can no longer dedicate time to lmbench, so I'm orphaning this package.

Upstream version (http://www.bitmover.com/lmbench) is currently 2.0.3 and
the Debian package would need to be updated (currently 2.0) from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/lmbench/. Announcement is at
http://www.bitmover.com/pipermail/lmbench-users/2002-October/43.html
and at sourceforge. Prospective maintainers need to retrieve the new
release and update the package.

However upstream is not very active, and neither is the mailing list=20
(http://www.bitmover.com/pipermail/lmbench-users/).

Also notice that lmbench would need to be built in other arquitectures in=
=20
order to make it available in testing. I don't really don't know why its=20
not autobuilt.

Javi

Bug#248555: packaged evolution-exchange

2004-07-21 Thread Greg Folkert
I am writing this to inform this that I have successfully compiled and
instaled the ximian-connector as evolution-exchange:

It works well with 1.4.6-x (currently in sarge and Sid), even though it
is for v1.4.7-2

Hope to have helped out.

BTW, I go the source using:

#Evoultion Exchange Connector for PPC
deb http://www.gnome.org/~jdub/debian/sid ./
deb-src http://www.gnome.org/~jdub/debian/sid ./

I did:
dselect update && \
apt-get build-dpends ximian-connector && \
apt-get source ximian-connector && \
cd ximian-connector-1.4.7 && \
dpkg-buildpackage && \
dpkg -i ../evoultion-exchange*i386.deb

And it works nearly perfectly as I can tell.

  Version : 20040721

Description : Makefile snippets for common tasks

Caspar offers Makefile snippets for tasks like installing system
configuration files you maintain using CVS, or typesetting LaTeX, DocBook
XML and DocBook SGML documents. You'll need at least jade, jadetex and
tetex-bin from the suggested packages if you want to do any typesetting.

I am using and maintaining caspar since february 2002. A Debian package
is published on 'deb http://mdcc.cx/debian local contrib' since april
2002. I guess caspar is mature enough now to be included in the Debian
system.

Bye,

Joost

Hpanel is hacked version of fspanel, a small panel that lists your

nicely with pekwm and aewm++, and handles maximized windows better
than fspanel.

Description : tool for manipulating database objects in KDE3

Kexi is an integrated environment for managing data. It helps creating
database schemas, inserting, querying and processing data.
 .
The idea of this development effort came because of noticeable lack of
application like MS Access, FoxPro, Oracle Forms or File Maker that is
powerful enough, inexpensive, open standards driven and highly portable
between many OSes and hardware platforms.

Package is already available:
deb http://genibel.org/packages/ ./
deb-src http://genibel.org/packages/ ./

I plan to upload it in experimental at first (due to the beta stage)

Contains dpteng and raidutil which are used to configure and

SmartRaid V cards from the command line. Does not include
  Adaptec's gtk based configuration utilities.

Note that these licence for this package, while publicly available for
download and already packaged by myself, has not been confirmed
competely as BSD to my satisfaction, although Deanna Bonds has
indicated in private email that the final license will be BSD or
BSD-like. I will not be offering it for inclusion in Debian or
publicly until that happens {at which time I'll need a sponsor ;-)}.
If for some reason the final license is not a well known DFSG free
license, I'll probably end up asking debian-legal about it as well.

Additionally, I have autoconfiscated the original distribution, as
they were built using makedepend and a horrid assortment of compiler
flags. Aparently they are also able to be compiled for BSD, so I will
attempt to package them for Debian/BSD as soon as I figure out how to
do that. ;-)

Bug#251938: chan_zap.so: undefined symbol

2004-07-21 Thread Mark Purcell
Package: asterisk
Severity: important
Version: 0.9.1+1.0RC1

Thanks for this report Adrian,

Can you confirm that you have also upgraded to libpri1 1.0RC1?

The other factor might be your zaptel modules might also need to be
upgraded to 1.0RC1. I have put together another package for
zaptel-source and friends on http://people.debian.org/~msp

Matt. I see that you have zaptel up for RFA. I would be happy to take it
over and that would complement my asterisk packaging nicely. But this is
my first debian kernel module package, so I might need a bit of hand
holding. Could you have a look at my packaging of zaptel 1.0RC1 above
and confirm that I have applied your previous diff correctly for a
Debian package. Upstream makefile was doing all sorts of wierd stuff for
kernel 2.[4,6].x. I also have some digium hardware now too!

Thanks,
Mark

your cool tunes! Requires an external MP3 encoder, such as LAME which can be
 had at http://www.mp3dev.org/

Bug#259142 - done.

I'm closing this bug (rather than issuing an RFP) because, as Peter
Eisentraut said:

> that he will not be able to grant one, either.=20
