Bug#355179: ITP: beef -- flexible BrainFuck interpreter

On Tue, 7 Mar 2006 03:22:52 +0100
Nico Golde <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:

> cant see a new description here in bts.

I updated the source package but forgot to paste the new description in the
BTS. Sorry. Here it is:

Package: beef
Description: flexible BrainFuck interpreter
beef is a BrainFuck interpreter, that is, a program which executes BrainFuck
 code on the fly.
 .
Its behavior is configurable using command-line options, so you can run most
BrainFuck programs written for many other interpreters/compilers without
 modifications.
 .
beef gets rid of some historical BrainFuck limitations: for example, the
length of the memory tape has no limits except for the amount of memory your
 computer has.
 .
beef's aim is not to be incredibly small or optimized, but to be a flexible
 and pleasant-to-work-with interpreter.

Thanks for your interest.

I've successfully packaged qingy!!! (ah-ah-ah, I finished exams three

Speaking seriously, I used the version 0.7.1, and I found no problems
starting an X session. It mutters something about a non-existing directory
(the x_sessions in settings file) but X starts anyway.

I also mailed the author some hints for the pam configuration.

Description: Perl module for object oriented time objects
This module replaces the standard localtime and gmtime functions with
implementations that return objects. It does so in a backwards
compatible manner, so that using localtime/gmtime in the way
documented in perlfunc will still return what you expect.
 .
Time::Piece does the right thing with the return value from
 localtime:
 .
   - in list context it returns a list of values
 .
   - in scalar context it returns a Time::Piece object
 .
   - when stringified (or printed), Time::Piece objects look like the
 output from scalar(localtime)
 .
Beyond that, Time::Piece objects allow you to get any part of the
date/time via method calls, plus they allow you to get at the string
form of the week day and month. It has methods for julian days, and
 some simple date arithmetic options.
 .
Time::Piece also gives you easy access to your C library's strftime
and strptime functions, so you can parse and output locale sensitive
dates to your heart's content :-)

Cheers

If you find a good argument why controlling multiple xterms
simultanously that contain no ssh sessions might be useful I guess
there's no problem with re-opening the ITP bug and looking for a

The maintainer of the source package `boson-music', Mickael Marchand,
agreed that all his packages could be orphaned due to his lack of time.
The package is currently very RC buggy, but recently an updated
package was uploaded to Ubuntu.

Copied from the Boson website and Wikipedia:

Boson is an open source OpenGL real-time strategy computer game
programmed in C++, with the feeling of Command & Conquer or StarCraft.
It is designed to run on Unix (Linux) computers, and is built on top
of the KDE, Qt and kdegames libraries.

Bug#355685: RFP: resynthesizer -- Gimp plug-in for texture synthesis

2006-03-07 Thread W. Borgert
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

Package name: resynthesizer
Version : 0.14
Upstream Author : Paul Harrison <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
URL : http://www.logarithmic.net/pfh/resynthesizer
License : GPL
Description : Gimp plug-in for texture synthesis

>From the web page:

"Resynthesizer is a Gimp plug-in for texture synthesis. Given a
sample of a texture, it can create more of that texture. This
has a surprising number of uses:

 * Creating more of a texture
   (including creation of tileable textures)

 * Removing objects from images
   (great for touching up photos)

 * Creating themed images
(such as the Resynthesizer logo above [see web page])"

Bug#355676: ITP: emutos -- EmuTOS is a free replacement for Atari TOS

2006-03-07 Thread Gürkan

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name: emutos
Version : 0.8.1
Upstream Author : EmuTOS team (see doc/authors.txt)
* URL : http://emutos.sourceforge.net/en/
* License : GNU General Public License, version 2
Description : EmuTOS is a free replacement for Atari TOS
This is a singleuser singletasking operating system for 32 bit Atari
computer emulators, like Aranym , STonX
 or Hatari
. It is thought as a replacement for the TOS-images you usually need
today for using emulators and it is also running on some real hardware,
like the Atari Mega STE. All is open and maybe it is also running on
totally new machines in the future.

This will be needed by hatari, stonx and aranym at least.
Will be here: http://io.debian.net/~tar/debian/emutos/
