I do, my server was hacked and my key was destroyed. Consequently I am
already a debian developer and can do the work myself.

Why keysigning? You don't need to do any keysigning to take this package
over. What you need is to prepare packages and then find a sponsor
(most likely on debian-mentors@).

Description : Lisp interpreter and aplication server framework

Pico Lisp can be viewed from two different aspects: As a general
purpose programming language, and a dedicated application server
framework.

As a programming language, Pico Lisp provides a 1-to-1 mapping of a
clean and powerful Lisp derivate, to a simple and efficient virtual
machine. It supports persistent objects as a first class data type,
resulting in a database system of Entity/Relation classes and a
Prolog-like query language tightly integrated into the system.

As an application server framework, Pico Lisp provides for database
management (including multi-user synchronization, DB garbage collection
journalling and replication), web interface integrated (and generated
from) the application data model, and an application server.

Description : simulate the evolution of nucleotide or amino acid sequences
Seq-Gen is a program that will simulate the evolution of nucleotide
or amino acid sequences along a phylogeny, using common models of the
substitution process. A range of models of molecular evolution are
implemented including the general reversible model. State frequencies
and other parameters of the model may be given and site-specific rate
heterogeneity may also be incorporated in a number of ways. Any number
of trees may be read in and the program will produce any number of data
sets for each tree. Thus large sets of replicate simulations can be
easily created. It has been designed to be a general purpose simulator
that incorporates most of the commonly used
(and computationally tractable) models of molecular sequence evolution.

Description : Dynamic Python binding for the Qt framework
PythonQt offers an easy way to embed the Python scripting language into a
C++ Qt applications. It makes heavy use of the QMetaObject system and thus
 requires Qt 4.x.
The focus of PythonQt is on embedding Python into an existing C++ application,
not on writing the whole application completely in Python. If you want to write
your whole application in Python, you should use PyQt or PySide instead.
If you are looking for a simple way to embed Python objects into your C++/Qt
Application and to script parts of your application via Python, PythonQt is the
 way to go!

Description : Gimp plugin to correct lens distortion using the lensfun
library

GimpLensfun uses the lensfun library to correct lens distortion of common
 cameras and lenses.

Please note, the binary package will be called gimp-lensfun to match the
existing
gimp namespace.
And if someone can come up with a better long-desc, I'd really appreciate it :)

Regards
Evgeni

Description : XML builder that creates simple XML documents using sparse
Java code

XML Builder is a utility that creates simple XML documents using relatively
sparse Java code.

It is intended to allow for quick and painless creation of XML documents where
you might
otherwise be tempted to use concatenated strings, and where you would rather
not
face the tedium and verbosity of coding with JAXP.

Internally, XML Builder uses JAXP to build a standard W3C Document model (DOM)
that you can
easily export as a string, or access and manipulate further if you have special
requirements.

My motivation for packaging this is that it is required to support packaging of
jets3t (which
is required to support the jenkins-ec2-plugin)

I request an adopter for the pywavelets package. Package is maintained
as part of the Debian Python Modules Team and I suggests to keep it
there. I can act as a sponsor for non DD (even if he decides to move it
outside the team).

The package description is:
PyWavelets implements the discrete wavelet transform (DWT) popular in
numerical harmonic analysis for numerous families of wavelets, including
Haar, Daubechies, Symlet, Coiflet, biorthogonal wavelets in one and two
 dimensions.

Can you please expand LIO at least once in the description of the
package, since I can only guess that LIO="Linux iSCSI (.org)". Thanks.

Sincerely

has also reached debian, which is good, and leaves only vamsas (as far

The update is the following (a typo in the bug report may lead to my
intents being quite unclear):

I think it is OK to sponsor the package in Debian with the following
conditions :

- rename it to follow the current pkg-fonts package naming policy, so
"fontS-anonymous-pro" (we're discussing about making the "foundry"
part in package names an optional component and I think there is
consensus that it hasn't to be mandatory)
- move the package under the pkg-fonts team umbrella and host the
package development in its SVN repository
- check, of course, that the packaging work is OK

(the latter is not specific to this package, of course)

This should say 2.6.38, when LIO-4 was added to mainline Linux.
(I assume that these are compatible with LIO-4.)

Description : an efficient, scalable and stable RDF database

4store, an RDF database from Garlik, has recently been GPLed. It is a database
designed to do just one task but do it well. It is primarily designed for
multinode 64-bit clusers, but its author once told me it could also easily be
configured to be the "SQLite of RDF", i.e. a small, no-config database with
good performance with the added benefit over SQLite that it would work well for
heterogenous data. It would be interesting to have a debconf script that could
ask the user a simple question of whether it would be in a role as a "small
database", "single node database" or a "multihost clustered database".

Some packaging effort is underway, see e.g.:
http://dev.squarecows.com/2009/07/17/4store-rdf-database/

>From the upstream web page: 4store's main strengths are it's performance,
>scalability and stability. It does not provide many features over and above
>RDF storage and SPARQL queries, but if your are looking for a scalable,
>secure, fast and efficient RDF store, then 4store should be on your shortlist.

4store is primarily intended to run on Linux platforms, but it is known to work
on single Mac OS X machines. It depends on the Avahi multicast DNS library. It
contains a SPARQL HTTP Protocol server, and uses Redland, which is already in
Debian.

Bug#622382: ITP: lio-utils -- a simple low-level configuration tool set for LIO

2011-04-12 Thread Ritesh Raj Sarraf
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Ritesh Raj Sarraf

* Package name: lio-utils
  Version : 3.2
  Upstream Author : Nicholas Bellinger
* URL : http://www.linux-iscsi.org/
* License : GPL
  Programming Lang: C
Description : a simple low-level configuration tool set for LIO

lio-utils provide a simple low-level configuration tool set for LIO,
including Target and its backstores including tcm_loop, and the iSCSI,
FCoE and Fibre Channel fabric modules.

lio-utils use the configFS kernel API that is available with LIO 3,
which provides a clean interface for controlling the kernel level Target
engine and its fabric module subsystems. lio-utils require LIO 3 or
higher, and provide iSCSI target functionality on a number of Linux
baremetal and virtualized systems. Running LIO 3 requires a newer Linux
kernel (≥v2.6.29).

I have formerly co-maintained the package. But currently I'm maintaining
an equally large package (Zabbix) and I'm so short on time that I would
rather be an obstacle than a helping hand. Although I'm actively using
Bacula on two servers.

Kind regards

Bug#591327: ITP: -- This extension allows you to undo closed tabs via a toolbar button

2011-04-12 Thread Fabrizio Regalli
Hi Ludwin,

I was working on this package on friday morning when there wasn't your
ITP (I see it just now).
It's my fault: I had to retitle this RFP before and I had to check if in
the meantime someone is interested to package it also.
Actually, my package is already done but feel free to tell me what do
you prefer.

Once again, sorry for my mistake.

Cheers,
Fabrizio.

Bug#622172: [remote-hg] interested to contribute? Was: Bug#622172: ITP: git-hg -- Script to track mercurial repositories in git

2011-04-12 Thread Yaroslav Halchenko
Just in case someone might like to help with the "right approach" -- Sverre
(CCed) is busy with GSOC atm. But he is open to assist someone willing to push
remote-hg forward (I guess it should have been GSOC project! ;) When I have
briefly tried it but I recall some issues yet to be addressed before any prime
time.

Cheers,

Bug#496832: bakefile Debian packages

2011-04-12 Thread Vadim Zeitlin
 Hello,

Another user interested in using bakefile has just pointed me to this bug
and I'd like to add that I'd be glad to maintain bakefile package in Debian.
I already make its packages available at http://apt.tt-solutions.com/debian/
and would welcome any advice about improving them.

Please let me know if I should submit an ITP for this package or if I
should proceed in some other way.

 Thanks,
VZ

Bug#588216: RFS: BaseX - Native XML Database

2011-04-12 Thread Alexander Holupirek
Hi,

I updated my Debian package for BaseX to the new upstream version 6.6.1
BaseX is a native XML database written in Java without any further dependencies.
I have done packaging using the maven-helper tools.

In first place, I would appreciate any feedback on how I could improve the
package.
Furthermore I'm looking for a sponsor for the package, if there is any interest.

The files are available from both

http://files.basex.org/debian/
and
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/b/basex/

The upstream sources are hosted on github
https://github.com/BaseXdb/basex

The debian files can be cloned from
https://github.com/BaseXdb/basex-dist/tree/master/linux/debian

In case you are visiting the Linuxtag 2011 in Berlin, there is an 1 hour talk
on BaseX, it is scheduled May 13, 11:00 - 12:00 (Room Europa II) [1].
Getting in touch with DDs there would be awesome.

Kind regards,
Alex

Bug#612297: Bug#612296: bacula and bacula-doc

2011-04-12 Thread Turbo Fredriksson

John already demoted himself from

future ;-),

what about Christoph and Turbo?

On Mon, 11 Apr 2011 15:38:29 +0200, Gerfried Fuchs wrote:

My relation to the package was
work-related (same as with John) and actually dropped from me two

fill-in here.

Same here. I haven't even used Bacula in a few years.

FWIW, I started to use Bacula on production systems, i.e. on squeeze,
thus if none of the other upcoming maintainers will do, I will for
sure

provide backports for squeeze, since I need them anyway.

For me, go right a head...

Normally version control systems don't allow fine grained
commits. commit-patch allows the user to control exactly what gets
committed by letting the user supply a patch to be committed rather than
using the files in the current working directory.

Also included is an Emacs interface to commit-patch. It allows you to just
hit C-c C-c in any patch buffer to apply and commit only the changes
indicated by the patch, regardless of the changes in your working
 directory.
