I did some more investigation and I don't see any file name clash
betweek zim from zim-wiki and zimlib. Even though both packages have zim
in the package name there is description field which clarifies any
confusion between both packages for end user.

So I guess renaming from upstream is not required. Please share your
 thoughts.

My thoughts are I have been confused and thus I believe that other users
will be confused in the future. This is why I believe it's best to
rename. Furthermore, there are no file clashes yet, but the day
where someone will write a python wrapper for zimlib (and this is
on the roadmap apparently), it might become a real issue.

OK thanks for sharing your views on this, apparently I didn't think of
 python wrapper for zimlib.

@Kelson can you share your views on this.

What about libopenzim as package name, content unchanged?
Emmanuel

  Version : 0.9.0
  Upstream Author : Daniel Bunzli
* URL : http://erratique.ch/software/cmdliner

Description : command line interface handler

Cmdliner is an OCaml module for the declarative definition of command
line interfaces.

It provides a simple and compositional mechanism to convert command
line arguments to OCaml values and pass them to your functions. The
module automatically handles syntax errors, help messages and UNIX man
page generation. It supports programs with single or multiple commands
(like darcs or git) and respects most of the POSIX and GNU
conventions.

Cmdliner is made of a single independent module and distributed under
the BSD3 license.

Bug#634757: Well, where do we stand?

2013-01-20 Thread Paul Johnson

Lyx 2.0.5.1 released January 2013

How about it? Why lyx still listed as non-adopted?

the xdg-prefer patch has some fuzz when applied to this version,
otherwise mostly good. Only minor change to rules needed to compile. Thus:

# remove empty directory
#pj 2013-01-18 rmdir debian/lyx-common/usr/share/lyx/images/commands

Seemed silly to patch a patch, so I just re-did the changes and made a
new attached patch.

I'm not a registered Debian maintainer, so I can't take care of this
now. Are any of you registered to take care of it?

Bug#635623: ITP: kazam -- easy to use application for recording on-screen action

2013-01-20 Thread Andrew Starr-Bochicchio
Has there been any progress on this?

I'd be happy to review/sponsor/co-maintain any work towards getting
this in to Debian. If there hasn't been any work, I'd be happy to take
over this ITP and upload a package.

Thanks,

Bug#533450: Nice!

2013-01-20 Thread David E. Ammouial
On 28/02/11 23:15, Kushal Koolwal wrote:
I was about to write a long post on how to get the Poulsbo driver
working (with 3D) on Debian Squeeze using the native sources (non
EMGD) but I guess I will hold on to that (for now) since the kernel
component is in the staging trees.

I guess once those are stabilized in the kernel, we should be able to
do a xserver-xorg-video-psb package for Debian which was the original
intend for this bug report over 20 months ago -:)

How is that going? Is the kernel component stabilised now?

This bug is still open, and with modern desktop environments such as
GNOME 3, the lack of 3D with gma500 chipsets is becoming a problem.

Also, meanwhile, any workaround to achieve than (you mentionned it's
possible) is welcome.

Regards.

Bug#686453: native ZoL debs are available at archive.zfsonlinux.org

2013-01-20 Thread Darik Horn
ITP feedback is merged into the upstream repositories and, because we
missed the release deadline, native ZoL packages for Debian 7 will be
published at:

* deb http://archive.zfsonlinux.org/debian/ wheezy main contrib

The core ZoL packages are already posted for limited testing, and the
necessary helpers will appear sometime this week. Afterwards, we
should discuss what should go into the Alioth repository.

Bug#697288: xarchiver: new package is finished

2013-01-20 Thread Markus Koschany
The new package is finished but it needs a little more testing. I have applied
new patches which add xz-support and fix multiple bugs. I still need to
check whether #633598 is reproducible and if there is another solution
for #689046.

Bug#635623: ITP: kazam -- easy to use application for recording on-screen action

2013-01-20 Thread Carlo Stemberger

Hi Andrew,

Il 20/01/2013 20:47, Andrew Starr-Bochicchio ha scritto:

Has there been any progress on this?

Actually, no; I'm sorry...

I hoped to find some time for this, but currently I'm very busy.

I'd be happy to review/sponsor/co-maintain any work towards getting
this in to Debian. If there hasn't been any work, I'd be happy to take
over this ITP and upload a package.

I only:
1) downloaded the tarball
2) renamed it as kazam_1.3.0.orig.tar.gz
3) created a new directory (kazam)
4) initialized a repo Git into this directory
5) imported the tarball with git-import-orig (with the --pristine-tar
option)

Please note that probably newer versions have been released in the meantime.

Thank you for taking over this ITP.

Best regards,
Carlo
