Bug#730851: ITP: ruby-rspec-puppet -- RSpec tests for your Puppet manifests

2013-11-30 Thread Thomas Bechtold
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Thomas Bechtold

* Package name: ruby-rspec-puppet
  Version : 0.1.6
  Upstream Author : Tim Sharpe
* URL : https://rubygems.org/gems/rspec-puppet
* License : Expat
  Programming Lang: Ruby
  Description : RSpec tests for your Puppet manifests

Puppet lets you centrally manage every important aspect of your system
using a cross-platform specification language that manages all the
separate elements normally aggregated in different files, like users,
cron jobs, and hosts, along with obviously discrete elements like
packages, services, and files.
.
This ruby module contains RSpec tests for Puppet manifests.

Bug#689854: RFA: pmount -- mount removable devices as normal user

People who use pmount these days probably use it on purpose and do not
want to use DE bloat like udisks or udisks2.

> Only a few things still depend on pmount:

I somehow dislike the words "only" and "still" in that sentence.

Kan-Ru Chen wrote:

Same here, except for the "heavily". Don't have to mount external
block devices that often. But I strongly prefer to do it on the
command-line and pmount is a very convenient way to do that, despite
it seems to be initially developed to server as backend for GUI/DE
stuff. (Congrats to the upstream authors for having managed that
balancing act. :-)

> so I'm interested to join the maintenance of this package and the

I must admit, I'd probably mostly help with packaging and less with
upstream. But I'd jump in before pmount is at risk of being removed
from Debian.

pmount seems to be currently maintained as Alioth project, but I
wonder if collab-maint would be better for it in this state to attract
more spontaneous contributions and contributors.

Regards, Axel

I suggest changing "locker" to "locking screensaver" in the long
description. Both for people thinking "what kind of locker" and
people searching for screensaver packages.

It's not a screensaver so I'm a bit reluctant to add it here, but I've
changed to “screen locker” to mimic the small description.

Bug#729851: ITP: ibus-typing-booster -- typing autocompletion for ibus to increase typing speeds

2013-11-30 Thread Vasudev Kamath
Aron Xu  writes:

> https://wiki.debian.org/Teams/IMEPackagingTeam

I've done some draft work on this package and pushed changes to team
repo and can be accessed [1] Will it be possible for you to see if I'm
missing some technical points in the package?

I've set the --libexecdir to /usr/lib/ibus as mentioned in the post
other than that I'm getting confused if I'm supposed to add python
dependencies or not for the package.

Also this package relies on hunspell dictionaries a lot so I'm thinking
of recommending all the hunspell- dictionaries for supported languages,
the IME itself is capable of suggesting need for hunspell dictionaries
and downloading it.

I saw the demo in Fedora but not sure how it will work on Debian. I'm
unable to test this as ibus is not working with my setup (already
another thread on the mailing list). So if some one can test it and see
if that feature requires any Debian specific patches it would be great.

Other than this copyright file is far from perfect its not at all
updated for upstream copyrights yet and watch file and other minor
stuffs are still needs update which I'm currently working on.

Thank you for allowing me to choose my preferred packaging style. I read
other mail by Osamu but I'm some what more flexible in using CDBS so I
kept the package in CDBS style (and sorry for not listening for your
request Osamu :-))

* Package name: libhtml-prettyprinter-perl
  Version : 0.03
  Upstream Author : Claus Schotten
* URL : https://metacpan.org/release/HTML-PrettyPrinter
* License : Artistic or GPL-1+
  Programming Lang: Perl
  Description : module that generates nice HTML files from HTML syntax trees

HTML::PrettyPrinter produces nicely formatted HTML code from a HTML syntax
tree. It is especially usefull if the produced HTML file shall be read or
edited manually afterwards. Various parameters let you adapt the output to
different styles and requirements.

If you don't care how the HTML source looks like as long as it is valid and
readable by browsers, you should use the as_HTML() method of HTML::Element
instead of the pretty printer. It is about five times faster.

The pretty printer will handle line wrapping, indention and structuring by
the way the whitespace in the tree is represented in the output. Furthermore
upper/lowercase markup and markup minimization, quoting of attribute values,
the encoding of entities and the presence of optional end tags are
configurable.

Bug#685575: need help with opentracker packaging?

2013-11-30 Thread anarcat
Hi!

First, thanks for the work on the license!

Second, I see this is now an ITP, which is awesome. Do you need help
pushing this forward?

If you get a working debian/ directory that makes lintian happy, I can
help you out with the rest of the logistics (including debian-maint and
so on).

A.
