Yes I am, following to my previous message on this bug and your reply to
the "private" mail I sent to you, I created RFS #1057124 to also adopt
the Harmony package.

Bug#1032369: ITA: harmony -- program and library for creating and managing Discord accounts

2023-11-29 Thread Patrick ZAJDA

Hello,

After successfully taking over the maintenance of purple-discord, I have
the intent to do the same for Harmony.

I've published a package on mentors and am going to create a RFS.

Best regards,

Bug#1057118: RFP: anyrun -- A wayland native, highly customizable runner.

2023-11-29 Thread Antoine Beaupre
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
X-Debbugs-Cc: debian-r...@lists.debian.org

* Package name: anyrun
  Version : No releases published
  Upstream Contact: https://github.com/Kirottu
* URL : https://github.com/Kirottu/anyrun
* License : GPL-3
  Programming Lang: Rust
Description : A wayland native, highly customizable runner.

A wayland native krunner-like runner, made with customizability in
mind.

Features

Style customizability with GTK+ CSS
Can do basically anything
As long as it can work with input and selection
Hence the name anyrun
Easy to make plugins
You only need 4 functions!
See Rink for a simple example. More info in the documentation of the
anyrun-plugin crate.
Responsive
Asynchronous running of plugin functions
Wayland native
GTK layer shell for overlaying the window
data-control for managing the clipboard

There's a bunch of runners in Debian, but none of them are written in
Rust. I find this one particularly interesting because of the
integration with Rink (which is *also* not packaged in Debian but very
well could):

Bug#1057109: ITP: libsmacker

2023-11-29 Thread Alexandre Detiste
Hi Anatoliy,

Thank you for your interest.

There already was a RFP for the same thing.
   https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1041368

The best way to handle this was to retitle this one RFP bug into ITP.

But that's not a big problem, now you just need to merge them.

Greetings

Bug#1057109: ITP: libsmacker -- C library for decoding .smk files

2023-11-29 Thread Anatoliy Gunya

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist
Owner: Anatoliy Gunya

* Package name    : libsmacker
  Version : 1.2.0
  Upstream Author : Greg Kennedy
* URL : https://libsmacker.sourceforge.net
* License : LGPL 2.1
  Programming Lang: C
Description : C library for decoding .smk files

libsmacker is a cross-platform C library which can be used for decoding
Smacker

Video files produced by RAD Game Tools. The library supports all features of
both v2 and v4 files, except that Bink Audio Compression (lossy perceptual
coding) is unsupported. For most use cases of libsmacker, this is not a
serious

limitation.

I intend to orphan the pitivi package.

The package description is:
GStreamer is a streaming media framework, based on graphs of filters
which operate on media data. Applications using this library can do
anything from real-time sound processing to playing videos, and just
about anything else media-related. Its plugin-based architecture means
that new data types or processing capabilities can be added simply by
 installing new plug-ins.
 .
PiTiVi allows users to easily edit audio/video projects based on the
GStreamer framework. PiTIVi provides several ways of creating and
modifying a timeline. Ranging from a simple synopsis view (a-la
iMovie) to the full-blown editing view (aka Complex View) which puts
you in complete control of your editing.

I request an adoptor for the pointback package.

This package is no longer in my ~/.emacs.d/init.el and it would be
better if someone who actually uses the package maintains it.

This is a team-maintained package, so the adoptor should either replace
me in Uploaders:, or alternatively take the package out of the team's
hands.

The package description is:
When you have two windows X and Y showing different sections of the
same buffer B, then switch to a different buffer in X, and then
show B in X again, the new point in X will be the same as in Y.
 .
With pointback-mode (or global-pointback-mode), window points are
preserved instead, and point will be where it originally was in X for
B when you return to B.

thanks

I'm still actively using IkiWiki and want it to continue to be
well-maintained in Debian. I am happy to co-maintain the package,
and I'm adjusting the bug metadata accordingly (I think that's the
convention).

Anyone else who wants to help; please get in touch. The package
lives in the Debian project on Salsa already, so is defacto
collab-maint; I wouldn't want to change that, and I'm pro-lowNMU
threshold.

Thank you Simon for doing an amazing job, upstream and in Debian,
keeping IkiWiki going.

Bug#1057088: RFA: ikiwiki-hosting -- ikiwiki hosting: common files

2023-11-29 Thread Simon McVittie
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: ikiwiki-host...@packages.debian.org, ikiw...@packages.debian.org,
anar...@debian.org, intrig...@debian.org, j...@freedesktop.org
Control: affects -1 + src:ikiwiki-hosting

As with ikiwiki, I have not been active in ikiwiki-hosting for a while
and I would like to hand over primary responsibility for it in Debian
to someone else.

It would probably make sense for ikiwiki and ikiwiki-hosting to have
the same maintainer. The main thing I have been looking into in recent
years in ikiwiki-hosting is trying to migrate from LSB init scripts and
cron jobs to native systemd services and timers.

The package description is:
A hosting interface for ikiwiki. Facilitates management of many separate
ikiwiki sites, with capabilities including web-based signup to create new
sites, easy support for branching sites, deleting sites, and transferring
sites between servers. Ikiwiki-hosting was developed for Branchable.com.

Bug#1057087: RFA: ikiwiki -- wiki compiler

2023-11-29 Thread Simon McVittie
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal
X-Debbugs-Cc: ikiw...@packages.debian.org, anar...@debian.org,
intrig...@debian.org, j...@freedesktop.org
Control: affects -1 + src:ikiwiki

I have not been actively developing ikiwiki for quite a while and I have
too many other responsibilities in Debian, so I would like to hand over
maintenance of ikiwiki to someone else.

The project is not particularly active upstream, so any significant changes
will likely require getting involved upstream if you are not already.

The package description is:
Ikiwiki converts a directory full of wiki pages into HTML pages suitable
for publishing on a website. Unlike many wikis, ikiwiki does not have its
own ad-hoc means of storing page history, and instead uses a revision
control system such as Subversion or Git.
 .
Ikiwiki implements all of the other standard features of a wiki, including
web-based page editing, user registration and logins, a RecentChanges
page, BackLinks, search, Discussion pages, tags, smart merging and conflict
 resolution, and page locking.
 .
Ikiwiki also supports generating news feeds (RSS and Atom) and blogging.
Ikiwiki provides a plugin system which allows many other features to be
added. Some of the plugins have additional dependencies, found among the
Recommends and Suggests of this package.

Thanks,
smcv

Thanks for this. However, I do not have the time nor the need anymore to
get popsicle into debian.

Another issue is popsicle still using GTK3. Save for squeekboard in
debian I'd have filed removal requests for it since it's only getting
security updates and no new features (effectively deprecated). Once
squeekboard gets ported to rust-GTK4 I will start filing RM requests
since that will greatly simplify the maintenance of those libraries. All
other (GNOME) apps have switched to GTK4.

I'd appreciate it if no new packages depending on rust-GTK3 will be
introduced as that will only complicate things.

fwiw, kisoimagewriter exists as a KDE program for creating bootable drives.

best,
