Hi Mark,

Sorry for the delay. I was going to reply your original message but forgot.
I'm fine with your intent to takeover.

Thanks, and good luck.

Description : an open-source secure audio ripper

Rubyripper uses cdparanoia in a sophisticated way to make sure that
a CD rip is done successfully and accurately. Through multiple rips
and byte comparison, rubyripper aims to correct and inform the user
about any differences that would otherwise go unnoticed. It is very
similar to and inspired by EAC.

Yeah, it's not ideal at all. I'll see about making it properly depend
on the right packages instead of using forked versions, but it may not
be feasible initially.

  Programming Lang: C
  Description : DVD9 to DVD5 converter

  dvd95 is a GNOME application to convert DVD9 to DVD5 (4.7GB).

  * Needs no additional packages - embedded versions of vamps and
dvdauthor are used, to be as fast as possible.
  * Interface is pretty simple to use.
  * Shrinking factor may be computed for best results, or an adaptive
compression ratio method may be used.
  * DVDs can be converted to file trees or ISOs.
  * The end result can be viewed and burned with regular third party
players and DVD recording software.

  * DVD95 supports two copy modes:
  - Without menus, one video title set, multiple audio tracks and subtitles.
  - With menus, one video title set, multiple audio tracks and subtitles.

Hi,

While mp3kult has seen a stable release, upstream has halted
development almost 3 years ago. For this reason, while it probably
still works nowadays, it's bound to suffer from bit rot.

Speaking as the previous and only maintainer.

I'd prefer that Peter Vreman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, who's the Free

with most of the infrastructure needed to build FPC on Debian, take over
this package. Peter, if you're interested, I'd be glad to sponsor you
while I'm a developer.

The package's description is:
The Free Pascal Compiler is a Turbo Pascal 7.0 and Delphi compatible 32-bit
Pascal Compiler. It comes with a fully compatible TP 7.0 runtime library.
Some extensions are added to the language, like function overloading. Shared
libraries can be linked and created. Basic Delphi support is already
implemented (classes, exceptions, ansistrings). This package contains the
command line compiler. You need at least the RTL package before you can start
 compiling anything.

You can download both the source code and the debian packages; I have
only intentionally made it impossible to download the .changes files,
which would allow one to upload lazarus to Debian, since it is signed

Regardless, I'm uploading lazarus to experimental in a few minutes.

Mp3Kult is a KDE2 application that helps you organize your MP3 collections in
a MySQL database. It can read MP3 tag and song informations (length, bit
rate, sample rate etc.), make playlists, play songs with an external player
like xmms and gqmpeg, perform basic and advanced searches for songs in the
database, and make copies of playlists on your hard disk, in order to play
the songs without inserting cdroms.

Mp3Kult can scan directories recursively, looking for MP3s and

I made a mistake, the correct address is [EMAIL PROTECTED] But that's already
corrected, see bug #92648, bugs.debian.org/92648).

All easy to fix, IMO. The first 3 errors at least, seem kinda easy to fix.
Perhaps the 4th is too, I just never ran into it before.

You didn't do an ITP. You did an RFP, that's different. (a RFP is a request
that someone package a program you found out to be useful; an ITP is to show
everybody your intention to package a program)

Again, I'm sorry if it was your intention to package xdiskusage yourself. Since
you filed an RFP, ... I became interested in xdiskusage and ITP'd it. Better
make sure you tag your bugs properly next time.

By the way, please file this bug under xdiskusage itself, as bug #88163
concerns the ITP only (it's filed against wnpp). I've seen the bug is real, so
please file it.

Thanks,
Carlos

I really regret writing a reply to this bug so fast... I was kind of scared
that someone claimed a bug right on the ITP :) In fact, I re-read the policy
after writing the message, and was going to point out to Karl that part of the
Policy. Well, mistakes happen... :/ By the way, Karl, could you please tell me
what do you think is wrong about me closing this bug?

Thanks,
Carlos

I don't understand, do you have some problem with xdiskusage? The bug I closed
was the ITP (intent to package). What is your problem with xdiskusage?

Anyway, I'll add fileutils to the Depends of xdiskusage - thanks for pointing
that out.

Bug#76264: Lopster ITP still valid?

2001-03-14 Thread Carlos Laviola
Hey Colin,

I'd like to know from you if you're still working on Lopster. If not, please
let me know, because I'm also interested in packaging it. Since it seems to me
like an easy-to-build package - upstream even supplies .deb's - I'd like to
upload this as soon as I get my account. I'll wait a week or so before taking
this to debian-devel/debian-wnpp, ok?

Thanks,
