Bug#106840: What's happening with w3m-m17n?
At Fri, 19 Mar 2004 23:15:50 +0100, Per Olofsson wrote: Is anything happening with this? w3m-m17n is really much better than w3mmee, and I think it would be very nice to have it in Debian. Are you planning to merge the patch into w3m anytime soon or would it be better to create a separate package? m17n patch has been merged into w3m upstream cvs trunk, so next major release of w3m will be w3m-m17n. This makes me feel a bit uneasy, so I'm asking the following questions: Is there some kind of transition plan ? Is ruby1.8 co-installable with ruby1.6 ? Yes. Now, we have ruby and ruby1.7, but we don't see any problem. Anyway, I think it's time to have debian-ruby@lists.debian.org to discuss ruby related issues in detail. Regards, Fumitoshi UKAI
Bug#106840: Your ITP of w3m-m17n (#106840)
At Sat, 28 Dec 2002 22:22:28 +0100, Bas Zoetekouw wrote: This is a semi-automated message concerning your ITP of w3m-m17n. Do you still intend to package this program? If not, could you please close this bug or rename it to an RFP? If you don't reply to this message, it will be assumed that you are no longer interested, and someone of the QA team will close or rename this ITP. As upstream maintainer of w3m, I'm planning to merge m17n patch to w3m soon in the next year. (maybe after 0.4 released) It's possible to make multi packages (w3m-common, w3m-en, w3m-ja, w3m-m17n) from w3m source package. Regards, Fumitoshi UKAI

Bug#106841: w3m-img, -m17n will be merged in w3m
To simplify packaging w3m-variants' deb, I'm working to merge -img and/or -m17n extension of w3m in upstream. I hope next major release of w3m will have -img extension. It takes much more time about -m17n. If you need m17n feature, please use w3mmee instead, which is already packaged. Thanks, Fumitoshi UKAI
Bug#126883: [ITP]: mozilla-ca-cert -- Mozilla builtin CA certificates' PEM files
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist * Package name: mozilla-ca-cert Version : 0.9.7 ? Upstream Author : mozilla.org * URL : http://www.mozilla.org/ * License : MPL or GPL Description : Mozilla builtin CA certificates' PEM files Mozilla has several builtin CA certificate, but it can be useful only in mozilla for now. It would be very useful for other OpenSSL enabled applications, such as w3m-ssl. This package will provides PEM files generated from mozilla certdata.txt, install them to /etc/ssl/certs and probably generate hash symlinks by using c_rehash(1). So a package using openssl can use /etc/ssl/certs as CApath to verify SSL peer certificate. What do you think about this package? Does it make sense? If mozilla maintainer or openssl maintainer is interested to provide this package, I'd like to tell them how to build this package instead of building this by myself. Can we put this package in main? Any comments? Thanks, Fumitoshi UKAI
