Indeed.
So the state of Smolt in Debian is this: I picked this package up on the road
to lenny and--knowing that any work would not be a part of that release--I
put it on low priority and concentrated on other things.
Technically, I have working packages, but the "difficult" work is with
getting a decent integration into the Debian system, particularly with
respect to integrating Smolt into the graphical desktop environments and
making it part of a default graphical installation - the adoption by other
distributions has opened doors there, at least for an initial discussion to
not be shot down on grounds of lack of other users.
So I guess it would certainly help to get some Ubuntu people with leverage on
board soon - it would seem a shame to duplicate effort there. Does anyone
know if they are remotely interested in this?
