Bug#534910: RFA: ejabberd

2009-08-11 Thread Gerfried Fuchs
Hi!

* Miguel Landaeta mig...@miguel.cc [2009-07-03 18:35:56 CEST]:
I use this on a test server, so I'm interested. I'll try to take a look
 at this package.

If no one beat me to this, I'll adopt it.

Have you done anything? Because I spoke with Torsten at debconf two
weeks ago and he said it would be fine with him picking it up. Im
already maintain the package on backports.org and did commit some things
to the SVN already, so I wonder wether you were doing stuff in secret
and not commiting them to the package's repository?

If you have lost interest that's fine too, it would just be nice to
know where we are standing. I don't want to beat you to this nor do I
mind having a maintenance team. In fact I'm in contact with Konstantin
who did the last NMU to the package, did get in contact with one of the
upstream developers and have someone else interested in ejabberd in
general to give a helping hand.

So, would like to have you on board too, if you are still around, and
let's get this going!

 So long!
 Rhonda

Well, I was getting familiar with ejabberd internals and its packaging, but
I don't have any changes to commit yet.

Great!, the more people involved the better. This kind of package would
be better served with a maintenance team, so I would be glad if I can join
this team.

Yep, count me in!
Let's go to kill some bugs.

Kind regards,

Bug#534910: RFA: ejabberd

2009-06-28 Thread Torsten Werner
Package: wnpp
Severity: normal

Hi,

I've too many Debian packages and I will reduce the load on me. That is
why I am looking for a new (primary) maintainer. I am willing to
comaintain the package for a while and I can sponsor any uploads.

Cheers,
Torsten
