The best option would be to have a debian-l10n list dedicated to
such announces. The creation of this list comes to the surface from
time to time, but it never happened, many people believe that
debian-i18n could do the trick. This is wrong, i18n and l10n are of
course distinct, but many translators follow -i18n because -l10n
does not exist, so the need for this list does not seem as evident
as it could be.
IMO you can crosspost to those lists, and request that replies only
go to the relevant -l10n-* list.

Denis

Hi Ric,

The actual Debian system is called Woody and is numbered 3.0. You may find
all needed information about how to install it in the installation manual
available at http://www..debian.org/releases/woody/installmanual

I can't remember if Woody is installable via the network, but maybe you
may want to try our 'testing' version that will be our next stable release
and that include a "network install", i.e., a small ISO that include an
installation procedure that will automatically download from the network
all required files. (The procedure will suggest you a list of hostname
from where to fetch the files; the procedure know about the correct paths).

If you want to try the new installer, please see
http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/

Bye,
Giuseppe

Well, there are only six messages, so I think I'm going to stick with the
"templates" domain.

So you would suggest to crosspost to those lists? And while we're at it, I
guess I should fill in the relevant information for the German team... ;-)

Anyway, thanks a lot for your comments.
