Sponsorship request for ivtv X driver.

2008-03-13 Thread Ian Campbell
Hi David,

Please could you upload a new upstream release of the ivtv X driver.
I've put sources and i386/amd64 binaries at:
http://www.hellion.org.uk/ivtv/debian/1.0.1/
and pushed the xserver-xorg-video-ivtvdev-1.0.1-1 tag to git.

Thanks,
Ian.

Reply from the list archive, sorry if I break threading. I've subscribed
to debian-x now though...

Sorry I took so long. I've been insanely busy with real life stuff lately.
I don't know if you saw, but I made a few minor adjustments to the
packaging to bring it in line with the current driver packages. Your work
looked great though, so I've gone ahead and uploaded it to unstable. Now we
just have to wait for it to get approved by ftpmaster, at which point it
enters the archive and we don't have to worry about delays when we upload.

Let me know if you need anything else, and in case I didn't mention it
 before, welcome to the XSF!

Excellent stuff, thanks very much!

Ian.

For example with my other package my sponsor just takes them direct from
SVN but it looks like it is a bit more work for X modules since there
are a few more manual steps so if you would like me to put together
a .dsc/.diff.gz/.orig.tar.gz set I'm happy to do that.

I've checked everything in to SVN in driver/xserver-xorg-video-ivtvdev.
Currently this includes the X.org 7.1 patch but upstream has told me
they will look at merging it. That might take a while though, he needs
to upgrade from some ancient version of X first, so I'd rather ship the
 patched version for now.

No worries, turns out this week was busier than I was expecting (damn
deadlines ;-)). I've got some time over the weekend though.
