Re: [Declude.JunkMail] COPYFILE
I had to make a sizable kludge to make COPYFILE work the way that I wanted to due to the lack of the Declude headers. I've requested that this be addressed in future releases and it is nice to see that I am not alone even if my own use for this is unique. It's almost valueless to have the message and not know what it failed as would otherwise be shown in the headers inserted by Declude. Matt Markus Gufler wrote: Using the action COPYFILE, the copied D file does not have the Declude Headers. Can this be changed? This would be very usefull. The COPYFILE action can be used to watch a small range below the hold weight to watch what's going on there and maybe adapt something in the weighting system. It also allows introducing new filters or make different tests and hold a copy of affected messages for further analysis and decision if a certain new "thing" is working good enough to being introduced in the weighting system. In both cases it would be usefull to have all declude resulsts in the headers as it significantly simplyfies the analysis work. Markus --- This E-mail came from the Declude.JunkMail mailing list. Re: [Declude.JunkMail] copyfile
David, COPYFILE is not a final action like HOLD is, but it works almost exactly the same way in how it handles the files. The difference in how the files are handled come down to the Declude headers. HOLD actions will have Declude headers in them while COPYFILE actions will not, instead it will be exactly the same format that IMail hands off to Declude initially. Matt David Sullivan wrote: Ok, I realize this is a waay old thread, but I got behind and was doing some archive research. You can relax this weekend. :) The latest interim 1.78i30 at http://www.declude.com/interim adds a COPYFILE action (in the format "TESTNAME COPYFILE C:\IMail\spool\copy\") that will copy the file to another directory. So you can use: TEST1 COPYFILEC:\IMail\spool\copy\ TEST2 ROUTETO [EMAIL PROTECTED] This will re-route the E-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED], and copy the D*.SMD and Q*.SMD files to C:\IMail\spool\copy. Do I understand this correctly, that I could use COPYFILE at my normal HOLD weight to move the D/Q files to a separate folder and not have to use HOLD? The benefit I'm looking for is performance so that I can separate my spam quarantine from my /spool folder. RE: [Declude.JunkMail] COPYFILE
Which is the correct usage? WEIGHT20HOLD WEIGHT20COPYFILE C:\Imail\spool\weight10\ This won't work as expected, because you can't have multiple actions for a single test (see the "Multiple actions per test" section of the manual at http://www.declude.com/junkmail/manual.htm for information on how to accomplish this). WEIGHT20 COPYFILE C:\Imail\spool\weight10\ This, however, will work fine. -Scott --- Declude JunkMail: The advanced anti-spam solution for IMail mailservers since 2000. Can we specify the holding directory in the Hold action ? or can this be added in the near future ? Re: [Declude.JunkMail] COPYFILE
I am having limited success in using this, as the Declude headers are not being added to the copied D file. Is there a way that the process can be changed, whereby the file is copied AFTER all headers are added, not at the moment the test is run?
