Just a few minutes ago the Que manager stopped.
I did restart it fine this time.
What could this be?

Imail monitor is off.
Its a dual Xeon 3.0GHz with 2GB Ram.
Load is pretty low. About a million emails a month.
No evidence of extra load.
I did turn off the auto restart.
Lets see if that makes a change or not...

"Auto-deny possible hack attempts" in IMail's SMTP Security if that

Declude 1.81 has a big flaw in it with the SPAMHEADERS test and you
should upgrade to at least 1.82. This shouldn't explain the
instability.

You should give some more detail about your server, especially
conditions related to load if this continues. There are many of us
running 1.82 without issues, and with SP1 my own server seems stable
and I have a good deal of volume going through it.

I don't know if this is of any help here, but two new SP1 features
that I don't understand and I fear to some extent are the
"Application Experience Lookup Service" and "Data Execution

things like Declude which are called from a command line along

wise to run them in such an environment. I haven't tried turning
them off yet, but I was just starting the process of researching

I don't know if this is of any help here, but two new SP1 features
that I don't understand and I fear to some extent are the "Application
Experience Lookup Service" and "Data Execution Prevention (DEP)".  It
seems like both might represent overhead to things like Declude which are
called from a command line along with all of the applications that it calls,
and it might not be wise to run them in such an environment.  I haven't
tried turning them off yet, but I was just starting the process of researching
them.  The "Application Experience Lookup Service" can be turned off in
Services, and "Data Execution Prevention (DEP)" is controlled by the
boot.ini.  I can't find hardly any information on the "Application
Experience Lookup Service", but "Data Execution Prevention (DEP)" has a KB
  article about it:    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/875352There
is also another level of DCOM security, and this may or may not cause issues

Title: Message

iwegmsg has big stability issues, especially when the server is under
heavy load.  I noted an increase in CPU utilization after going to SP1,
but I'm leaning towards that being related to volume and not the SP at
the moment.  iwebmsg is so unstable that you can crash any server by
having a mail box with a lot of messages in it and continually clicking
on messages until iwebmsg gets clogged and gives up.  You might try
stopping the IMail Monitor service because there have been some
indications in the past that it might try restarting services that
aren't hung, but are non-responsive for a moment, and the restart of a
non-responsive service can cause it to crash.  Since Windows 2003 has
service monitoring built in, you can probably just rely on that and
maybe get some more stability.

Switching to a different Declude EXE shouldn't affect iwebmsg unless
there is something in it that is causing you to experience more CPU
load, and it would still be IMail's/iwebmsg's fault if it crashed.
