I've been playing with sniffer a bit, and one thing I have noticed is that it will catch many adult emails that do not fail any other declude tests and that have been getting through my current setup. The problem is that if I want to catch them, I have rely only on sniffer and put sniffer at a weight 10 (and hold at 10) and not rely on another test to trigger the hold. Is there any other way around this or another way I can set it up? Also, how can I really tell if sniffer is catching any more than my current setup? (other than these adult emails) I see that it is triggered on many emails in addition other tests, but don't see too many outside of these adult emails where it is the only test being triggered. Weight17 --Sorry-- As far as people with misconfigured mail servers... That will NEVER happen... As long as there are company's trying to save money by hiring an incompetent admin, there will be misconfigured email servers...lol We don't sift through the messages that get routed, we just leave them in a mailbox for about 30 days kind of as an archive... Then if a customer calls and says, "Hey I registered for ebay, but I never received my email confirmation." we too offer 2 levels - weight10 marks the subj with an indicator they can filter on - weight20 gets the email held; the legit emails i have seen come across usually fail only sniffer, which has a physical weight in our system of only 5, so by itself, it doesn;t flag the lower level of our testing; in combo with most other tests however, it would.
