RE: [Declude.JunkMail] Version 2.0 - Safe to Install
Title: Message You have to make a choice, manual or automatic. If you chose manual, you will get a second screen asking are you sure. It will then ask where do you want to put the files. I have a folder tree on my server for source files. Under that is Imail and Declude and some others. Under Declude, I make a folder for each new download naming the folder the version number. RE: [Declude.JunkMail] Version 2.0 - Safe to Install
Title: Message It's either. You download one InstallShield-style installer, which asks if you want the automated method, or whether you just want to extract the files to a folder you specify. I chose the latter; the application then looked like it was installing, but as promised, all it did was extract the files to a folder. It was very clear. There is also a web page with good screenshots for a first time install, and troubleshooting tips and gotchas. I used my IMail Manager to stop the IMail services, and when I saw that all the declude.exe processes had finished, I made a backup of my declude.exe, then copied in the 2.0.4 version from my download folder. From a command line, I ran "declude.exe" from my IMail folder with no parameters, and read the output - there was the line about requesting a key (the new registration, which I believe sends a packet or message back to CPHZ notifying them of my install). No errors. I then ran "declude.exe -diag" and that all looked good too. Testing looks good, and I'm very happy with the new log format - that all the lines for a given message are written consecutively, no more interleaved Q lines. I can already tell that my production disk utilization is lower.
