RE: [Declude.Virus] ECard Viruses
<> Exactly. That sort of set up is only good for a small business like mine where everyone is forced to authenticate through my firewall before going out to the web, and doesn't help anyone who doesn't have a firewall, or doesn't have control of theirs. >At the risk of getting flamed for mentioning something that is somewhat off topic in regard to this, I am blocking friendcard.com with the http proxy on my firewall. Now wait a minute... Just kidding. Very good idea. Not off topic. Only problem is, that only protects the 19 people behind the firewalls I control. The rest of our clients won't/can't/choose not to have a firewall. Sad. No, that doesn't prevent the email with the link from coming in, but it sure as heck prevents my users from clicking on it and accessing the website. I realize not everyone has access to a firewall, and it's a quick fix to a problem that will more than likely continue to crop up, but for now, it's working. I use B~a virtual postcard from Friend**Greetings\.com:spambox without the ** of course. I don't have Junkmail Pro either (I do have the standard version) but instead rely on my rules.ima file for custom filters.
