Re: [libreoffice-design] Adding [UX] and [VI] tags to mail subjects?
Hi Jaron, * Jaron Kuppers schrieb: Hi everyone, Great idea! I prefer to use shorter tags such as [UX] and [VI] as opposed to full words. Otherwise the subject of the email may get cut off, especially since all our emails are automatically tagged with the list at the beginning ex: [libreoffice-design][UX]. +1 As for the specific tags I would prefer [UX] and [BD] (Branding Design) and of course no tag would be general purpose (such as announcements). Later we might add 1 or 2 more but I think it should be kept very simple, otherwise new members might get confused about which tags to use. +1 (I didn't want to propose [BD] because of my name ;-) ) Honestly: I don't know if "Visual Design" or "Branding Design" covers our goals better and are better known in public or among designers. So I'm open to any of these tags. Re: [libreoffice-design] Adding [UX] and [VI] tags to mail subjects?
Hi Bernhard This idea has merit if we can agree on a set of codes, although it could also be useful to have words inside [] brackets to make them more identifiable. Here are some more suggestions [Usability-Interface] - improving the interface [Usability-Interaction] - improving the way the system responds to actions [Usability-Productivity] - improving user productivity and this can overlap with the ones above it. Your suggestions would then be; [UserExperience] [BrandingDesign] The Message Line could then have as an example; [libreoffice-design] [Usability-Interface] Simplifying the Screen Various members of the Design Team can then quickly identify topics of interest to them without having to read the email which I guess is your goal. It will also allow us to search on specific types of emails retrospectively if the need should arise.
