No, it sure isn't. In fact, it doesn't look like any work has gone into fixing it at all - behavior is identical to the way it was before (totem-xine). [Bug 52131] Paste in dir where user does not have write permission
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: nautilus What I did: - Nautilus is configured to show listview, and the directory-tree on the left. - Go to /usr/share/pixmaps - CTRL-C on a file to copy - CTRL-V to paste the file What happened: - A little text box with the full path of the copied file appears in the lower right-hand side of the nautilus window followed by some garbled text. - The text box stays around for a few seconds and then disappears. - The file is not copied anywhere. What I expected: - A message or some indication that Paste is not possible in the directory since the user does not have the correct permissions (i.e. /usr/share/pixmaps is only writable by root). ** Affects: nautilus (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Paste in dir where user does not have write permission https://launchpad.net/bugs/52131 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

Until the problem is fixed, I think Ubuntu should include an option to just disable gamin without having to remove the binary. [Bug 52161] Can`t start evolution
Public bug reported: System: Kubuntu Breezy Badger on a Dell Notebook Lattitude X1 I can only start evolution by stopping and starting the evolution-exchange-storage. In detail: The following processes are shown with status 'sleeping' after booting Kubuntu: evolution-alarm-notify, evolution-data-server-1.4, evolution-exchange-storage. When I press the evolution icon, nothing happens but an error-information Evolution was ending by an error. Please contact your system-administrator. The only way of starting evolution is to stop the process 'evolution-exchange-storage', start evolution by pressing the icon (only a further process 'evolution-2.4' is starting but suddenly sleeping) and starting the 'evolution-exchange-storage'. Now evolution starts without an error. Can you help me to start evolution without manuelly stopping and starting any processes?
