[Bug 63090] Re: do not eject all USB/Firewire devices
Please, if you want to shout, do it in a forum. A bug report is meant to be just that: a report. Comments should be adding new information or discussing a fix. It bites me too, but please relax and let the developers do their job. It's far easier for them if they don't have to filter the comments in a report. Otherwise, the more popular ubuntu becomes, the more difficult it will be to get things done. For example, this bug report has already 10 duplicates. That means, no insult intended, ten people who discovered the same problem, felt they had to report about it, but failed to scan launchpad for a similar report. -- do not eject all USB/Firewire devices https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/63090 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 110177] Gcalctool can't handle small physic constants like the Boltzmann constant
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gcalctool Open Gcalctool, switch to Ansicht-Wissenschaftlich (in english i think view scintific) Klick on drop-down constants, edit constants Now i tried to add the Boltzmann-Konstante 1,380 650 5 · 10−23 J K−1 But there is a hint at the lower border: Alle Werte werden zur numerischen Dezimalbasis angegeben So, it doesn't seem to be possible to add a constant like 1.38e-24 then i tried to add it without e 0.13806505 which is somewhat annoying. Then I clicked on the new constant and a 0 appeared. Then I switched the display mode to scintific and now the constant 1.380650656e-23 is shown correctly. Re: [Bug 107051] Re: totem-mozilla (dynamic link problem)
Hi Sebastian You may excuse my late answer. I was absent for a few days. According to the page source, the kind of dynamic link that www.sportradio.ch uses, is something like http://www.sportradio.ch/_inc/wxx.asp?eventid=2825kat=livesource=sportradio It looks like the 'eventid=2825kat=live'-part is the link to the event, you wanna listen to, while the 'source=sportradio'-part is the link to the sponsoring messages. Try to open this link in totem. You will see, that it works without problem. Funny thing about is, that the event stream is some kind of hidden in the playlist. And now try to open the link without 'source=sportradio' ... ;) Again... Sorry for the late answer. [Bug 78369] Re: Evince does not print a particular PDF properly
Id2ndR, in your case GhostScript was not able to convert the PostScript coming from evince's print function to the printer's native language. Either evince has produced broken PostScript or there is a bug in ESP GhostScript. Can you try GPL GhostScript? Do sudo apt-get install gs-gpl sudo update-alternatives --config gs and choose gs-gpl in the menu. Then try to print again, the same file on the same printer. Does it work? If you are not able to print on another printer (connected to the same machine) now, revert to ESP GhostScript with sudo update-alternatives --config gs and choosing gs-esp. -- Evince does not print a particular PDF properly https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/78369 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 110329] [apport] gnome-vfs-daemon crashed with SIGSEGV in strcmp()
Public bug reported: I had installed Ubuntu 7.04 and it worked OK but I didn't have the KDE interface to play with. I used the Synaptic Package Manager (SPM) to add it plus Quake 2 and 3. I rebooted and went into the KDE GUI. It works OK. Then I decided to go back to the Gnome GUI and while I could login and get the desktop, the top and bottom panels had no icons and the mouse worked erratically. Since there was no way to logout gracefully I pressed the reboot button and retried to get the Gnome GUI running, it did not. I rebooted again and went into the KDE GUI and got the crash tool, so here I am writing. I will reinstall 7.04 for the 4th time and just leave Gnome as it is. I will not install KDE nor will I install the 3D desktop feature as that prevents X from starting. I have to log files for that if you wish. Drop me a line. [Bug 109576] Re: Gnome Panel config in Feisty
Thanks for your bug report. I can't seem to reproduce your problem. I don't find any gconf keys at apps/panels/system_default/top_panel What I do see is those two trees: /apps/panel/default_setup/toplevels/top_panel and /apps/panel/toplevels/top_panel_screen0 Changing keys in the first tree doesn't change anything in my running setup (as it seems to be used for initial setup when you start Gnome for the first time), but changing keys in the second tree is instantly applied on the panels visible in my screen.
