[Bug 30867] Re: nautilus shows drive labels instead of volume labels
Re:could you please also try to reproduce this with intrepid? I did a dual boot (with Windows XP-Media Edition) clean install of Intrepid for AMD64 - 64 bit version - on an HP computer with dual processors 2 weeks ago. The NTFS/HPFS Windows partition was correctly mounted and labeled. I upgraded my Hardy i386 Desktop version to Intrepid yesterday by net install. Unfortunately, the previously noted bug persists in i386 Intrepid Ibex. I see a vertical stack of 5 identical dirive icons each labeled by drive storage capacity. [Bug 181915] Re: page scroll causes loss of context to the reader
I have a request for the following feature that may ameliorate the problem. To help the user find the context, I suggest the following behavior: Right after scrolling finishes, a horizontal line that runs across the page flashes briefly that is located at the part of the document that before scrolling was at the bottom of the viewport. This feature should be optional, off course. Another approach is to instantly darken the part of the document before the context-line upon scrolling and then gradually fade it in over one second or less. I don't think that scrolling exactly by the viewport height is going to very user-friendly, because sometimes the bottom edge of the viewport cuts across a text line, which can't be read because it's only partially visible -- the scrolling should be for slightly less than a page. -- page scroll causes loss of context to the reader https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/181915 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is a bug assignee. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 312997] Re: brightness adjustment doesn't work correctly
Hi Lupine, I'm attaching gpm.log, as you requested. But I think that g-p-m isn't the source of this problem. I tried to downgrade gnome-power-manager to 2.24.0-0ubuntu8 (from 2.24.0-0ubuntu8.1), but the problem persists. I also upgraded linux-backports-modules-2.6.27-11-generic (2.6.27-11.10) to 2.6.27-11.11 and the problem still persists. And finally downgraded xserver-xorg-video-intel to 2:2.4.1-1ubuntu10 (from 2:2.4.1-1ubuntu10.1) - none success. What else should I try to downgrade? [Bug 315039] Re: evolution sends from default account
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it, because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read How to report bugs effectively http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems. http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures At a minimum, we need: 1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem, 2. the behavior you expected, and 3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
