[Bug 440865] Re: Visual notification for/correct user response to incoming voice calls and subscription requests not obvious
I am in the latest version of Ubuntu - 10.04 and according to Update Manager, everything is up to date so I assume I have the latest of everything. I am still experiencing this issue. I hear the ringing but I can not find ANY POSSIBLE way to accept the call. It would be nice if Empathy would all around expand on its SIP functionality. SIP is a great protocol and it would be nice to have more options and a keypad or something similar to how other softphones have (Counterpath Products like X-lite http://counterpath.com) It is absolutely pivotal, though, to be able to answer a damn call. Without that ability, the SIP part of Empathy is all but useless. -- Visual notification for/correct user response to incoming voice calls and subscription requests not obvious https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/440865 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to empathy in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 626142] [NEW] evince will not launch external programs in presentation mode
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: evince PROBLEM: when viewing a PDF file with associated external content, such as a movie, evince will launch the external helper application when in normal or full screen mode, but will not do so in presentation mode. When in normal or full screen mode, the mouse pointer changes from an arrow to a finger, and the tooltip launch .. will appear. When in presentation mode, the mouse pointer never changes shape, and clicking on the embedded link merely causes the presentation to advance to the next page. EXPECTED BEHAVIOR: evince should launch the external application in presentation mode, the same way it does in the normal and full screen modes. TO REPRODUCE: Download attachment. I would say this is not a duplicate but a sequel of that bug. Hello, I assume you are using a tool like wget and try to download a file from the web. If this does not work, this is rather not a bug in gnome- terminal, but I might have a hint on solving your problem: Your problem might be one of these: 1.) You are calling the url without quotes, which means http... instead of http As you url contains a quotation mark, your shell misinterprets this. So try using http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6vcq_VxMFgfeature=related;. 2.) You are not using a tool for downloading files from youtube. Have a look at the package youtube-dl. [Bug 437747] [NEW] How to hide the Accessibility icon is very unintuitive
You have been subscribed to a public bug: Currently, in Karmic, the Accessibility icon is shown in the taskbar by default. This is understandable, however, removing it if you don't need it is EXTREMELY unintuitive. The current process: 1.Click on System 2. Click on Preferences 3. Click on Keyboard 4. Go to the Accessibility tab 5. Untick 'Accessibility features can be toggled with keyboard shortcuts' Seriously, who came up with that?? Five clicks ending with disabling an option with a useless label for someone who just wants to remove an icon he/she has no need of. My suggestion: 1. Right-click the icon 2. Click a new option called Quit. 3. A box pops up the first time the user does this, asking the user whether he/she wants it disabled permanently. ** Affects: netbook-remix-launcher Importance: Undecided Status: Invalid ** Affects: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Incomplete -- How to hide the Accessibility icon is very unintuitive https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/bugs/437747 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-control-center in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 626281] [NEW] [Maverick] Have to unlock crypted disk twice
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-applets This is a regression in Maverick in the last few weeks - it was working fine in the earlier alphas and lucid. On my main drive I have a luks encrypted lvm partition (/dev/main/crypt - i.e. lv crypt in vg main) that is not mounted automatically. I just click on drivemount applet and enter the passphrase and it gets mounted at /media/crypt. Sometime in the last couple of weeks the behaviour has changed and I need to do the process twice; the first time I click on the drivemount applet and go to mount crypt, I get asked for the passphrase but it doesn't get mounted. I do it again and it works. [Bug 626289] [NEW] gcalctool buttons are too big in dutch
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gcalctool The buttons in gcalctool (5.31.90) are too big in Dutch (and possibly also in other languages), probably because they are designed to all take the width of the biggest button, which in Dutch is Ongedaan maken (undo in English). Because of the length of the Dutch translation, all buttons (including the ones with numbers and mathmatical symbols (+ - / * %) on them) are stretched to match the width of the undo-button (the widest one in Dutch). This makes the buttons far wider than they have to be (and as a result of that the window). [Bug 626296] [NEW] Keyboard layout indicator cannot be removed
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel Hello. I have added a second keyboard layout to my system, and since then, a keyboard layout indicator has appeared on the system tray. Since I want to be able to change between keyboard layouts only with a key combination I have set (Alt+Shift), I don't want the current layout being shown on the system tray. However, there is no way to remove that indicator from the tray (left click just switches between layouts and right click does not provide an option for removing that indicator from the panel). So, it would be really nice if an option for removing that indicator, would be added. Thanks a lot, in advance. [Bug 624624] [NEW] Dwell click setting randomly does not function
You have been subscribed to a public bug: 1. Ubuntu 9.10 2. gnome-mouse-properties 3. When having the dwell click enabled, I expect this setting to function every session. 4. Some sessions the dwell click setting will not function (as if not enabled). Rebooting mostly solves this. Trying to solve the problem by disabling the dwell click setting and enabling again does not work. However disabling en re-enabling again often results in a change of skin for ubuntu! [Bug 626319] [NEW] Rhythmbox library not updated correctly after renaming directories
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: rhythmbox 1.) $ lsb_release -rd Description:Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS Release:10.04 2.) $ apt-cache policy rhythmbox Installed: 0.12.8-0ubuntu7 Candidate: 0.12.8-0ubuntu7 Version table: *** 0.12.8-0ubuntu7 0 500 http://fi.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-updates/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 0.12.8-0ubuntu3 0 500 http://fi.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/main Packages 3.) I moved (renamed) subdirectory in ~/Music directory that contained music files. I expected that Rhythmbox would add tracks from new location and remove old tracks from library. $ rhythmbox $ cd ~/Music $ mv some_directory_with_tracks to_some_other_name 4.) Instead Rhythmbox just added tracks from new location, but left tracks from old location untouched. So my library contained invalid (duplicate) tracks and I needed to restart Rhythmbox to get rid of invalid track entries. ** Affects: rhythmbox (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Rhythmbox library not updated correctly after renaming directories https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/626319 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in ubuntu. -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
