[Bug 798032] [NEW] Totem slider doesn't go back to start
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: totem When listening to a 10 min audio file, I want to go back to the start. While it's playing, I slide the Time slider all the way to the left. The status says 0:00 / 10:13, but when I let it go, the slider jumps to 0:11 or 0:15. This is a bug. When playback is paused, sliding the Time slider all the way to the left, then letting go, moves the playback to the start. Hi, Could you please run gnome-settings-daemon with the --sync option, and produce another trace when it crashes? Sebastien said on IRC that the abort message was: The error was 'BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)'. (Details: serial 102079 error_code 8 request_code 2 minor_code 0) ...and the request code doesn't match up with the stack trace, which suggests the error happened in a previous request (XChangeWindowAttributes) Thanks ** Changed in: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-settings-daemon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/797947 Title: gnome-settings-daemon crashes frequently with X protocol error To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/797947/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 792692] Re: Totem don't play MIDI files a second time
Hi Brendan, thanks for your cares, I've not planned to update to Ubuntu 11.04 (for reasons not relevant to expose here). However, I guess I would get the same as you, as I suppose this is unlikely to depend on hardware configuration. I've just checked again the behavior for my current version, is the one I exposed in the first message. I also feel the behavior you encountered with your configuration, looks finally related too. I still can update any application separately, but did not find any updates for Totem in Synaptic (nor for libgstreamer). If you wish, I may be able to update a library Totem may depends on. Otherwise, keep this report as-is (marked as pending), if ever my Ubuntu release is not supported anymore, and I will be back to this if I ever eventually update to Ubuntu 11.04 (unlikely for the time) If there are any other test I have to run, please, tell me (this bug is important to me, as it is in some way a bit related to another). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to totem in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/792692 Title: Totem don't play MIDI files a second time To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/totem/+bug/792692/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

[Bug 789333] Re: users-admin crashed with SIGABRT in g_option_context_parse()
users-admin isn't part of the stock GNOME3 experience, but it should work if you still need it rather than the new users control panel. The crash here comes from a bad packaging/build that mixes GTK2 and GTK3 symbols: #2 0x7f87f66eca22 in g_logv (log_domain=0x7f87f95c779b Gtk, log_level=value optimized out, format=0x7f87f9659d88 GTK+ 2.x symbols detected. Using GTK+ 2.x and GTK+ 3 in the same process is not supported, args1=0x7fff2b3ab690) at /build/buildd/glib2.0-2.28.6/./glib/gmessages.c:557 So that's not a crash per se, rather a broken package. users-admin 2.32 is supposed to use GTK2 only, while users-admin 3.0 uses GTK3 only. [Bug 798156] [NEW] metacity should support _UNITY_NET_WORKAREA_REGION
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: metacity I'm copy-paste the explanation by Sam Spilsbury: _NET_WORKAREA_REGION x, y, width, height CARDINAL[][4]/32 This property MUST be set by the Window Manager upon calculating the total workarea region for the currently active desktop. Contains a series of rectangles describing the area not covered by strut windows. Work area region SHOULD be used by override redirect windows to ensure that they position themselves in places that do not occlude struts. The Window Manager SHOULD calculate this space by taking the currently active desktop space minus space occupied by dock and panel windows, as indicated by the _NET_WM_STRUT or _NET_WM_STRUT_PARTIAL properties set on client windows. Rationale: Currently, there are cases where override redirect windows must be able to place themselves in positions that are not occluding strut windows. With _NET_WORKAREA this is partially possible, but only tells these clients of a single rect that they can place windows within. This excludes the cases where there are struts that only partially cover the screen (eg _NET_WM_STRUT_PARTIAL) or there are struts that cover the space between multiple monitors (eg a top/bottom case with the Unity Panel) ** Affects: metacity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to metacity in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/798156 Title: metacity should support _UNITY_NET_WORKAREA_REGION To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/metacity/+bug/798156/+subscriptions -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
